The USSR also had large bus networks and regional aviation. Transporting people between remote settlements. Now bus stations remain in large cities. At best, a small building; at worst, a stationary bus stop where people simply load. Small aviation was completely destroyed.

In addition, removing mobility options for working class Americans makes it harder for them to come together and organize. Keeping most of the population isolated and at each other's throats is part of the design. The corporate sector, the group least loyal to the country, have the biggest hands in policy decision-making, and we can see the results of this in real time.

As a dual U.K./U.S. citizen who upon first coming to the U.S. 7 years ago, made extensive use of the Grey Hound bus service in order to visit 13 cities on my way to Austin pursue music. I am deeply saddened to hear of the closure of these stations. Richard pointing to how these places will now no longer provide really basic things, vending and shelter for those who really need it, speak to his humanity.
I'm also utterly ashamed of the role my countrie(s) are playing in the middle east right now, as ever. Bombing little old Yemen, enabling a genocide in Gaza, my grandad fought in WW2 to defeat fascism and now we are on the side of mass murder.
Richard is clearly a man of upstanding integrity with a clear and inspiring message, and it's in these changing and troubled times that minds and ears are more focused so i hope many more will hear what he has said and will say, for years to come.

We are already in the big crash, Inflation is a catastrophe. This CPI report is a colossal failure. To bring the housing market to a halt, the FED will have to pull all the stops. The unfortunate issue is that other markets are being decimated. If you want to stay green, you have to rely on a lot of diversification. Currently up 14% and being careful. Still a better deal than leaving it in a savings or checking account yielding 0-1 percent interest.

The sad thing is that as a graduate student I am literally starting to wonder if I got the better life after graduating. It’s depressing honestly..! By the time I graduate I be in debt with student loans and be struggling for years to pay the student loan. Not to mention that I need to have done residency or trainee work to become licensed and by the time I get that done my student loan will be increased by at least 7.5% for each year during and after graduation till I pay it. Ooh imagine that ..! Ooh and by the way my university requires that we have full coverage of health insurance..! Of course I don’t have it, so they add additional 5 thousand dollars automatically for health insurance through the university and they don’t care if I hardly go to the doctor because I am healthy , they don’t care if I want it or not , we are forced to have it.
The tragedy of the two presidential candidates is that none of them are equipped to run a country, and we will be suffering. , because unless this entire system is broken down and socialism established we be in the same position same old predictable results, different president, same outcome. And I don’t see anything changing unless workers organize and get out on the streets and begin a revolution..! Otherwise we be in the same predicament 10,20 years from now.

The most obvious sign of decline to me is the disconnect between their descriptions of the "economy's health" and the reality of the average person's health (mental, financial, physical). The two have nothing to do with each other because it's not a country for the masses, which feels closer to any oligarchy.

I work with an estate based department of Transport here in Australia, and one of the major concerns of the supply chain industry, which I am a part of is how local jurisdictions and governments have no concept of preserving any kind of land or corridors for use other than building more shit, overpriced houses and apartments or shopping centres. That’s where the most money is to be made, therefore, infrastructure, logistics, all the things people apparently want ends up having no space to be built, and in five or 10 years time, somebody will have to buy all this developed land back for 10 times the price, especially when they see the government wallet coming when it could have just been preserved when it was and used saving the taxpayer shitloads. it’s just insanity

    • @George-k6o9t
      @George-k6o9t 10 месяцев назад

I'd second what you wrote, being an Aussie myself and have witnessed the absolute shambles in the government (both parties across the aisle) housing policies. It is as though they have never tried their hands at playing "Civilization" or Sim City - to realize that it takes a COMPLETE holistic plan to build a village, a town and a city with space, infrastructure, schools, hospitals, fire departments, police stations, roads in and out, parking, shops, public transportation, and so forth to cater for population and job growth - and not simply higgle-dee-piggle-dee plonk suburbs, air ports, hospitals, schools, train stations, access roads, etc any which way they see a tiny space or to take over productive farm lands. It's virtually a mad-cap show currently at play and one wonders just what of intellectual capacity we actually have in Canberra these days. In my suburban area, there are so many different private schools set up by religious orders and what-not that every day, it is a nightmare to even exit and enter your own house due to the crazy congestion of cars and mini buses dropping off and picking up students. How do councils even permit schools to be built in inner suburbs without adequate traffic and parking spaces is beyond any logical understanding.

Your take on BRICS and their recent expansion is one that I certainly agree with. But not limited to just that the BRI seems to be a progressive initiative that gets less attention. While one of only two neighbors that border our country, that being Mexico we wish to secure that border, China on the other hand is extending an Olive Branch all the way to Africa showing real interest to that part of the world. But what astounds me the most is how many people just downplay the BRICS expansion as if it is nothing. Not just average people but prominent people that just seem to be still living off fumes of a nation that was riding high after WW2 but that was a long time ago.

My mother rest her soul said during the early 70's and my brothers and I were around nine years old. America will consist of two tiers/classes of people. The ultra-rich and the very poor. And mother you are so very right. Thank you for your program Mr. Wolf.

6:50 Yes. I noticed this in Philadelphia and NYC... bus stops for major companies just on the streets, no bus station.

Very good. We don’t hear about the decline of operations like Greyhound or Trailways. I took buses in my student days. We have to remember that train routes have declined as well and are very expensive while buses have always been more reasonable. Thank you, Mr. Wolff.

5 ways to become a billionaire:
    1) Exploit a monopoly.

    4) Extort your big investors.
    5) Get money from rich parents or relatives.

      Bingo! You understand!
I stopped drinking the Dem koolaid after Obama!!! I go by facts and truth. Before you jump on the Trumper card, sorry, I'm not one. Really don't and never liked him. Unfortunately, looking at a review, he had many accomplishments as hard as it is to admit.
Biden's average approval rating sits at 38% as of Saturday, according to MSNBC & ABC polls. The new NBC poll shows Trump beating Biden by five points, 47% to 42%, among registered voters in a head-to-head 2024 general election race.
      1. Immigration Chaos
      2. Ballooning Debt 34T Fed Debt. 46T National Debt. Massive State, City, & Local Debt. Consumers Debt back to a all time high. Projected Fed Debt in 30 years 150T. Absolutely Unstainable, my friend
      3. Inflation (Refer to number 2.) He is another puppet.
      4. Interest Rates and unaffordable home prices.
      5. To much War. We have no monies to give away as we financially broke as a nation!
      5. Woke Administrative State. Out of hand now.
      6. Specter of Scandal Its closing in don't kid yourself.
      7. No Return to Normalcy as promised as all I see is disfunction and chaos. No grwn upsnin the room!
      8. His mental condition have faded dramatically in the past 3 years. Both sides of the news media is raising concern. When Van Jones brings it up and says on CNN that Joe needs to stay home for his campaign as his is so weak. Not my words.
      Eight is enough!
I have been around now for several decades, and my assessment is simple.
So who's to blame its clear as day. Both parties for the past 60 years. They have been negligent parties...equally. Historical facts are in and undeniable!
Unfortunately, the damage is done. We are at the threshold of being another fallen empire. Do some history research as I did as to why each of the previous Empires have fallen. One glue, I listed them all above!
The US is now subjected to Blackrock worth 8.7T, Vanguard worth 8.1T, and the WEF. These three are the most powerful Elitists corporations/ groups in the world. Their long term plan has been in the works. For decades and unfortunately will suceed! No conspiracy all factually real. Sorry!
I earnestly wish this was not so, as I have a beautiful wife of 40 years, our 7 grown children, and 5 grandchildren.
I still own a very successful private NY base business since 1980.
I own several utility patents, which two I have licensing agreements.
As long as America can sustain my wife & I, my children and grandchildren are set for life.
Sorry to be the bearer of this information, but it's a truth to come!

Very interesting. I noticed the change with Mega Bus a few years ago with both their main Philly stop near 30th St Station and New York stop at Jacob Javitts Center.
