@@KJS_VR Who gives a damn about what carb eaters have to say about you. Keto is the best diet ever. It cured my parent's type two diabetes and everyone I know who has gone on the diet has lost a lot of weight. I am on the Ketone diet and the best part about it was that a few months ago someone told me I looked ten years younger and I said, "It is because I've started eating bacon, cheese, heavy cream, butter, lard, and fatty cuts of steak". These carb eaters are always wondering why I am not hungry. I watch them get hungry after every few hours. They got to have their snacks. Not me.
Then I watch their faces go into a state of shock when I explain to them that I leave bacon grease on the pan, pour heavy cream into my eggs, and pour that egg/cream mixture into the bacon grease when I cook them. Watching their reactions is priceless every time and the best part is that is the way I cook my food. They always tell me that I should stop eating that way. They say that every time! How can I judge, I was once a carb eater too.

I was born in the 90s in Switzerland. And already then when I was in school Our food Pyramid goes like this from bottom to top: "Water and other fluids, Fruits and Vegetables, Grains, Meat & Dairy, Oil & Fats & Nuts" and at the top of the Pyramids is "High Sugar, Fat and Salt Food" in other words. Candy, Cakes, Chips and Softdrinks etc.
I was quite baffled that in the American Food Pyramid not only Water is not mentioned (yes technically not food but it is importat to remind children to drink enough) but also fats, oils and Sugar are in the same category. There is quite the difference between a butter toast and Cake.
I mean saying that Peanuts and Gummy Bears are in the same category is just bad. Better make two seperate ones. To visualize sugar products should be rare treats. Not something you can eat daily.
But then also that Grain Products are switched with Fruits & Vegetables so Grain Products is at the bottom? Do americans have some salad with their bread instead of some bread with their salad?
Did the Grain companies bribe some nutritionist experts to get Grain on the bottom?

Everything else is your choice. You don't like fiber? Enjoy your digestion issues, but it won't kill you. You love sugar? enjoy all the health issues that causes, but it won't kill you in months, that will take decades. Same for everything else. Your body, your choice.

I believe In order to have a keto diet you can only eat fats and proteins in order for your body to go into ketosis and if you eat carbs/sugar it can stop the process and the food pyramid recommends you eat portions of each of those categories daily so not keto but definitely a healthier diet overall. I mean look at the Egyptians, forced to eat only grain/vegetables most of their lives and a lot their royalty and dead show signs of obesity and health issues related to overconsumption.

@zawarudo8991 Sugar and high glycemic carbs such as whole wheat bread and potatos induces hunger even if you have eaten a sufficient amount of calories to maintain body mass. This is why you find a lot of people who cuts carbs and sugar out of their diet losing so much weight because there appetite isn't as large. Additionally, protein is an appetite suppressant which is why many people who do the carnivore diet start to lose substantial amounts of weight. Personally I have lost about 10 pounds in fat the past month since cutting out carbs and sugar which has been nice. You are technically correct though you don't necessarily need to cut out all carbs to lose weight.

"We abandoned the pyramid when Michelle Obama got involved" 🤣
As someone who was in school when she started cutting school lunches, I can confirm. I would go back for seconds at lunch and by the end of the day, I was so hungry I'd have to go to the vending machine and grab a candy bar or something before wrestling practice just so I wasn't starving. You know what would have been healthier? Leaving school lunches the way they were so I didn't have to eat junk food every day to keep from starving. I was in decent shape back then too.

But then also that Grain Products are switched with Fruits & Vegetables so Grain Products are at the bottom? Do americans have some salad with their bread instead of some bread with their salad?
Did the Grain companies bribe some nutritionist experts to get Grain on the bottom?

Carbs are good actually, people blame it on them cus they are too scared to admit that they have no self control, eating too much simple carbs and pure sugar, yeah, no wonder you‘d be fat and lethargic.
Meanwhile eating only fat and protein gotta be one of the saddest things coming out of this decade, misinformation causing you to starve your own body/brain of what it needs, muscles eaten away as the stored proteins are being turned into glucose that it desperately needs, using a ton of supplements or suffering the major shortcomings of this "diet", or rather starvation reaction.
