Carbs arent the enemy. Calories are. Ive lost 100 lbs cycling through keto, carnivore, and calorie counting. I lost a significant amount of muscle mass from keto and carnivore from not having glycogen from carbs and the fact that free testosterone plummets to the levels of an 80 year old man when youre in ketosis.
The 2nd law of thermodynamics will always apply. If you eat more calories than you burn, it doesn’t matter whether you ate carbs, fat, or protein….. all 3 will be converted to fat and stored. Carbs don’t magically make you store more fat. I could eat 1800 calories worth of donuts and ice cream in a day but ill still lose weight because my body burns 2500 calories a day. I may feel like garbage from the sugar high but everybody gets it wrong. Carbs arent the enemy. You need them if you exercise or lift weights. Refined sugars can be terrible but grains and fruits are amazing for you

They act as an energy source, help control blood glucose and insulin metabolism, participate in cholesterol and triglyceride metabolism, and help with fermentation, also glycogen is stored in the muscles, the glycogen in your muscles can only be used by muscle cells. It is vital for use during long periods of high-intensity exercise, as someone who has been lifting weights and exercised for nearly 20 year's and tried every little diet their is in the last few year's I've kept quite high carbs even when dieting and feels the best I've ever felt, look great and regular blood work is always spot on, the best diet is a BALANCED diet, not overly consuming or neglecting and particular food group or macro, one of the functions of the body is to convert foods into glucose, fruits & veggies contain carbs yet are great food's to eat, the problem is when (glucose) sugar is put straight into the body

I used to have a fatty liver condition. I used to have pre-diabetic symptoms. I used to have edema - swelling in the feet and lower legs from excess fluids. That edema sometimes caused serious infections called cellulitis that would require hospital stays and intravenous antibiotics. I used to have COPD symptoms from decades of smoking. I used to have occasional high blood pressure and other chronic health problems for decades. All of these are gone. And they are gone because of intermittent fasting and eating high quality locally produced real foods.
For just over two years, i have been eating just one good meal every day that i prepare myself. I avoid sugars, all highly processed junk 'foods' and excessive carbs - no breads, cereals, pastas, etc. I am healthier and stronger than i was 10 years ago. It is almost like aging in reverse! Barring any serious injuries, there is no need to see any medical doctors. I have no plans to see any in the foreseeable future.

( Who eat them )see in ourselves because they weren't around long enough to develop them....To cite what certain cultures ate for centuries in light of the MASSIVE changes that have occured in roughly ONE human lifetime is to ignore what is plainly before your closed eyes / minds ....

Did you know red meat is high in OMEGA 3's, even if it is grain-fed? But poultry and pigs that are fed a grain-fed diet are higher in omega 6's. This is because ruminant animals like cows have 4 stomachs and can process out the omega 6's, so pigs and poultry should be organic. Do you know why they fortify cereals and other grains? Because plants especially grains have anti-nutrients that will stop your body from absorbing the nutrients. Now why would our government and Big PHARMA Lie (Big Pharma makes our nutrient pyramid)? Well, GREED and big pharma likes the lie because the way they tell us how to eat makes us sick! When you are sick they put you on medications. The doctors that are smart know this but if they tell you this, then you will get healthy and will not need them anymore or the medications, and then nobody makes money! Just think about that... I know you probably think that saturated fat clogs arteries because you picture your kitchen drain being clogged by fats but that is not the way our body works. We need these healthy fats even cholesterol. Our hormones get transported by fat. Our brains are made of fat and cholesterol (although a medical article just came out saying Alzheimer's MAY be linked to a build-up of fat in the brain, trying to trick us). We make vitamin D from the fatty cholesterol that sits just under our skin and the sun starts the process of turning it into vitamin D. Now the seed oils are very toxic and cause inflammation. The seed oils get stored in our fat cells and it can take 2-3 years to get rid of them. Calories, no matter what you have been told do not count, it is the carbohydrates that count because they turn to glucose/sugar in your body and that is how they trick you into making you unhealthy so you will need to see a doctor and then they tell you that you need their medications. It is the seed oils, carbs, and sugar that are causing your weight gain, heart disease, inflammation, and diabetes. Are you seeing your doctor and on medications? Are you feeling and getting better? Did these medications cure the root of the problem? It took me 2 years to get over the fear they put into all these years to eat the fat on meat, even though the fats taste so good! Fear is how they control us to profit off of us.

When I was growing up in the 80's and 90's, vegetables were at the bottom of the pyramid, followed by meat, and THEN grain. Suddenly in the mid 90's, they put grain at the bottom. We suddenly have an obesity problem. A serving size is half cup. NEVER eat more than 6 servings of grain. Grain is grass. Equal parts lean meats and vegetation. Grain should only be 2 cups, as it is pure sugar. That is why everybody is so big now. We are over-eating grain, and under-eating leafy greens.

      2.5months*30 days= 75 days
      20kg/75days =.26kg a day
      7700cal*.26kg=2053 calories daily deficit needed
A 2000 calorie deficit is massive. Like you wouldnt even be able to have 1 steak a day
Sorry to break it to you. You probably lost some fat, maybe 30% but the majority of it was glycogen and lean muscle mass. Its not mathematically possible otherwise
If you lose more than 1-2lbs(.5-1kg) a week, it’s definitely lean muscle mass and glycogen coming off. Pure fat is too calorie dense to be burned off that quickly
1 kg of muscle=1540 calories when your body becomes catabolic and consumes it for energy
Way lower than that 7700 per kg of fat

Tbh tho, when I saw the food pyramid as a kid at first, I always thought that’s the food we should eat not how much to eat. So I ended up getting grains, dairy, fatty meat, fruits, vegetables, dark chocolate, and water in equal amounts (except for the chocolate cause that was the treat)
Honestly this whole pyramid thing makes me laugh now that I major in agriculture and have studied nutrition within it

How healthy a food is also varies from person to person. You can make dna and blood tests to see how your body handles fats, proteins or carbs, and then shape your diet around that. For example in case of my mother it turns out her body doesn't handle carbs too well. Hence, she changed her diet to have less carbs but more fats and protein instead. She lost 40 pounds already, even though she eats as often and as much as before while doing no sports at all.

I thought things like cream crackers being low in calorie were good but always felt like I needed more or a biscuit and then found out they’re quite high on GI index. Both of us have dropped lots of weight but are eating more and healthier- win win. I have no IBS now and no skin tags (with PCOS) a common symptom of insulin resistance.
