    That shift from thinking you will live forever from realizing your own mortality is rough. You do have to re-grieve.

    I thought that eternal life was a nightmare. Think of consequences of consequences of consequences of your actions trillions of years ahead. Butterfly effect. Therefore the only activity you can safely do in paradise is probably just petting pandas for all eternity and that gets dull. Another option is that you outsource your thinking to spirit beings who do not have the constraints that come with having a human brain. Theocratic leadership, the anointed. So, paradise means total slavery under theocracy.
