Actually, two of these mufflers have the same flow area as an 80mm/3.1" tube. One of them wouldn't be nearly enough for an F20C, but a pair of them works fantastically well.
sounds to me what a tuned 2000cc honda sportbike would sound like :D very nice! i like it. doesnt sound as loud and raspy as most s2k aftermarket exausts but screams as it should at full throttle high rpms
LMAO!! Imagine racing around the neighborhood then a cop races up behind you with their lights on then pulls up next to you and asks you if you have seen a motorcycle racing around the area. Hahaha!
Hey man, I'm a owner of a 00 AP1 S2000. I gotta say this exhaust has the most beautiful clean noise I've ever heard.. I been looking into a lot of exhausts lately.. Borla , Invidia , F1 , Greddy , J's Racing .. And my conclusion is I want one that sounds like this. Saying if I went to a professional custom exhaust system shop would it be possible to build one with the specs you provided in the beginning of the video? Or would you be open to tell me the exact build so I could get it made for my s2000? I'd greatly appreciate it man. Aloha!
1.) What would you rather a 4 cylinder sound like? An MG Midget? Or maybe a Cummins 4BT? I can't think of a better sounding 4 cylinder than a sport bike motor, so I don't know what else you would want one to sound like? 2.) Disliking an entire segment of the automotive world because they're "them there rice rockets, Roll TIDE" is beyond stupid. Having owned several V8 cars, along with a little bit of everything else, there are plenty of fun cars that don't have V8s.
Straight through perforated core Mufflers are pretty much all the same, sound-wise. I think these with a good resonator would be really cool coming out the driver's side of an FC...
I think it sounds great, I don't like the raspy sound of some of the off-shelf systems, I think a lot of it has to do with resonator positioning (how close to the engine or how far towards the back of the car it is) and then how much pipe/tip there is after the rear muffler?
I was just thinking about this today. Bikes are 4 cylinder at most and sound amazing even at low car-like rpms while 4 banger cars sound like fart. What if you fit 2 bike exhausts on a high-revving 4 cylinder car? I google the highest-revving of them all and this audio pornography shows up.
These are 16" long Hindle Ti Supersports for a ~'06 CBR1000RR application, but anything with a 2.25" inlet would work pretty much the same. Thanks for the complements, guys. In hindsight, I should have added an autocross run or something, and cut out most of the blank space/ pictures, etc. Unfortunately, the car was sold last year, and the exhaust has since been cut up and used on my new Miata, so another video isn't an option. Live and learn, I guess.
out of subject comment i never had a car when i was that young, my moms couldnt afford to get me one,so i rode the bus in compton, we moved to new mexico, asked my moms for a car she laughed and said hahah funny buy urself one. some yeard downt he road.so here i am 23 years old. with my own house, still have my first car a 2000 civic si that i had for 4 years now and just bought my wife an audi tt. id say it was worth the wait. you learn to appreciate everything more.
First, where did you get a 2L 6cyl? I can't even think of one off the top of my head... Maybe the Mitsu FTO engine? And what is a Q-car? Second, a straight-through muffler is pretty much a straight-through muffler. A Ducati, a GSXR600 and your cousin's Civic all have the same type of muffler, they sound different because they are different. A TVR sounds like a TVR because it's an even fire 6 cylinder with lots of cam and compression and proper manifolds. Replicate that to get that.
1G-FE is a nice 6 cylinder 2.0L,it's a Toyota engine. Lexus IS200?? I am Doing this to my MR2 non turbo with a Rev2 3SGE, no EGR. What cans did you use and what was the inlet diameter of the cans? I have the pipework ready to go but stuck choosing good cans for a reasonable price! Bike cans are pricey!
How does it sound with the miata (any chance for a video)? I need to quiet mine down, but don't want to add too much weight (autocross special). The S2000 sounds amazing.
Gearheads need to stop shitting on 4 cylinders, they’re small because they’re meant for small cars, a small v8 would just be impractical because it would still be horrible on gas, straight 4s can absolutely sound like heaven.
Please advise four I'd like to switch out my exhaust I have a test pipe and stock mufflers now I like the sound but am loving your sound do you have any advice how is the drone on the highway
Can I skip the collector/oval and just go from the axle straight to the bike exhaust? I'm wondering if my car will sound good, it's a 2010 sentra 2.0 in CVT so it revs semi high and smooth..
+SaN AnToNiO-Saints Fan I'd say, you can go straight from cat to end cans if you wanted to. I want to know what these would sound like on a straight six. TVR like maybe?
At first, I was pretty skeptical. Thinking there is no way this could sound good. I was very very wrong! It sounds even better than my Tsudo N1 with Invidia test pipe. Great job man and BIG props for thinking outside the box! Do you have an intake or just factory?
Hey. What were the gains with that setup? Do you know? It looks like it would save about 20 lbs at least of exhaust, easy. If it has gains, it'd be pretty cool just what they were.
Most perfect sounding Honda on RUclips.
agreed!
Especially from a distance... Ferrari like...
I agree
Fosho!!!
It actually sounds like a sports bike! Like a CBR1000. Awesome.
Before I bought my GSXR, I was kissing a girl and she laughed when I stopped to admire a passing sportbuke exhaust (probably a Yoshi) love that sound
@@edwarddoswell4791 ayy
Not really lol
No it doesn’t dum ahh
At high rpm yes
1:40 hearing it in the distance is amazing
and when it passes by whooo 😬
1:47
This sounds straight out of The fast and the furious. This time it's in a good way.
Actually, two of these mufflers have the same flow area as an 80mm/3.1" tube. One of them wouldn't be nearly enough for an F20C, but a pair of them works fantastically well.
Im in Huntsville. If you've seen me around town, it hasnt been in a while. The car was sold last year, and the new owner totalled it a few months ago.
Actually heartbreaking
sounds to me what a tuned 2000cc honda sportbike would sound like :D very nice! i like it. doesnt sound as loud and raspy as most s2k aftermarket exausts but screams as it should at full throttle high rpms
Actually looked good. Tips reminded me of a Spoon Sports exhaust, just elongated.
sportbike exhausts work well on high rpm engines.
Thanks for the complements, guys. As of 7/2011, this is for sale. Search 'custom sportbike exhaust' on s2ki to find the build thread and for sale ad.
Sounds really good actually
This has to be the best sound for a car in my opinion
Beautiful sounds you got from your S2000, I prefer yours to the many aftermarket drainpipes!
Great work fella!
LMAO!! Imagine racing around the neighborhood then a cop races up behind you with their lights on then pulls up next to you and asks you if you have seen a motorcycle racing around the area. Hahaha!
Vtec kicking at 1:00 lol
I think it sounds really good. It takes away the raspy sound from some of the fart cans. It makes it sound like it should.

at 1:27 you can see a lightning bolt :P
LIGHTNING LIGHTNING LIGHTNING
Sounds good, no poping and cracking. Good job!
Also, nice lightning strike on film.
My goodness wish I would have bought one of these things when they were cheap. I love that sound.
Thank you about 20 years ago a kid had took a pair of scorpions on his little Honda and it sounded epic
Just shared this with my son. I want it on my car
This is coming from an Amuse R1000 Owner is exhaust sounds sick bro mad props =P
Really awesome setup. I love the rasp, although i do wish you could include a down shift video. it would sound completely awesome with your exhausts
I bought one for my FB rx7 13b so if I can achieve close to that sound I'll be over the moon happy!! 👍👍👍 Amazing sounding S2K
Any forum links? Did you ever put it on?
Sounds absolutely superb fella. Nice rasp to it.
Very Unique! Love the way it sounds man! Kudos to your hard work! *thumbs up*
Sounds like some exotic car ... Nice done!

0:58 vtaak engage!!!

Gotta be the best sounding exhaust on an s2000
wtf this is perfect that sounds so sick
Sounds amazing!
Sounds spectacular!
Watching this make me want to do a sport bike exhaust
That's amazing, you should sell them!
sounds great but they look restictive as fuck. id like to see the HP/TQ and power curve before and after these pipes
sounds and looks really clean!
Just because a muffler or sound is generally in relation to a sport bike does not mean that is the only thing that could have it or sound like it.
I think it sounds great, I don't like the raspy sound of some of the off-shelf systems, I think a lot of it has to do with resonator positioning (how close to the engine or how far towards the back of the car it is) and then how much pipe/tip there is after the rear muffler?

Best thing is that it doesn't rattle
Sounds psycho badass!
Watch out, we got the self appointed RUclips police over here!

Nice sound bro :)
I love how you're fckning creative! Good job

Sounds like someone needs a cookie.
Sounds sick 👍
Sounds AWESOME
Sequential or non sequential pairing or primary tubes ? Header type 4-2-1 or 4-1 ? Straight pipe or has Resonator ? Header primary tube length ?
Sounds sweet as mate! Did you run a resonated and test pipe with these? and how bad was the drone? tempted to do the same myself!
Do you have a clip of your miata exhaust? I have a miata and would like to hear yours.
Not expecting gonna sound like this, i just wondering what displasement are these 2.25 cans are made for , 600 or 1000cc
The part number for these were for a CBR1000RR with under seat exhaust. So, about an 06-07 era.
Man that shit sounds good. Got a 95 maxima I might put a moto exhaust on.
2 guys don't understand this amazing sound in a car
First, where did you get a 2L 6cyl? I can't even think of one off the top of my head... Maybe the Mitsu FTO engine? And what is a Q-car?

Can we use bike exhausts on cars too?
Sound so goood
SOOO Smooth!!
nice sound
Nice work ....
sounds good
Please advise four I'd like to switch out my exhaust I have a test pipe and stock mufflers now I like the sound but am loving your sound do you have any advice how is the drone on the highway
Sounds so good, would love to kno what bike these were from
TI sportsbike muffler? what kind of sportsbike is it from? would it sound good on a audi 5 cyl?
wow its sounds so fckn nice
Can I skip the collector/oval and just go from the axle straight to the bike exhaust? I'm wondering if my car will sound good, it's a 2010 sentra 2.0 in CVT so it revs semi high and smooth..
Engine is a MR20DE.
+SaN AnToNiO-Saints Fan I'd say, you can go straight from cat to end cans if you wanted to. I want to know what these would sound like on a straight six. TVR like maybe?
Where in alabama are you located! Think I've see your s2k screaming around town!
Sounds nice.
Sounds nice
Oh shit gotta try this on my straight pipe V-12 turbo Benz
At first, I was pretty skeptical. Thinking there is no way this could sound good. I was very very wrong! It sounds even better than my Tsudo N1 with Invidia test pipe. Great job man and BIG props for thinking outside the box! Do you have an intake or just factory?
0:59 VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO!
Sounds great! Could you feel any power gain or loss?
Sick ass sound...how would you do that for a 22RE engine?
themakable There is no way to make a 22RE sound exactly like this.
I need to go and change my pants.!! Lol. Sounds wicked.!!! :)
I gotta try this!
sounds awesome! thumbs up..
Great work, is the car stock ?
Hey. What were the gains with that setup? Do you know? It looks like it would save about 20 lbs at least of exhaust, easy. If it has gains, it'd be pretty cool just what they were.
No significant gains. It took almost 50lbs off the car, though.
Weight reductoin bro lol put her on a dyno or not yet see if there is any more hp if any or took some off would like to see a dyno clip lol
It's a clever idea, but the tips are so small it looks really out of place. If the tips were 3" or bigger it would be amazing
wow sounds realy good im gona try this too !!and viva mexico
Imagine passing by a cop like that
very nice!
toyota has the 1g-gte thats a straight six 2.0L.
Sounds good :D but vtec don't pop out the exhaust very well
Sounds sweet! But won't it restrict air flow?
Why isn't more people doing this?
Wonder how this would work on my '06 Mustang GT? I like the idea :)
...like shit.
Too late, sold the stang and got a 2000 Honda Insight. I would love to see this on a classic mini.
Fucknuts What?
Voivrenetwork You mean I ACTUALLY have to explain?
Fucknuts Sure, go on ahead.
have you seen the light at the height of the car at 1:30
(Google translation)
It sounds awesome man! just wondering if it does the engine any harm?
Jono _ oppa It's just exhaust work, shouldn't harm anything if done right.
