This is the kind of stuff I want to see more of because I plan to utilize HEMA for my high-fantasy story to ensure the sword fights are accurate and not "showy".
Love your 'fightin slippers' Nicole :)
Your tips help me a lot in VR games. Thank you! :D
What game are you playing that is accurate enough for that? Sounds interesting
Incredible combos!
This video was just what I needed! Thank you so much! hope the flooding isn't too bad where you are.
Great video 😊
Awesomeness!
this happens to be exactly what im practicing today lol thank you
Which of these has a critical chance increase on last hit? :V
The one that you can actually set up and lead with the tip of a weapon :V
The second one, since it gives Sneak Attack effect. Also keep in mind that this critical chance bonus % is calculated by the non-critical (100 - total crit chance). If you won't your build to focus on this combinations, than you should aim for AGI and DEX stats. And one more important thing is that Sneak Attack caused by those combinations won't have Armor Piercing effect, so it's not really good against high Physical Resistance opponents.
(I hope... I hope everybody understands that this is an obvious joke)
You gotta setup for critical strikes. Basically, do techniques until you can tell how your opponent will react to it and then do a different technique that can properly take advantage of their reaction for the critical hit.
The one with the pummel throwing technique
It also depends what weapon you use and what gear your opponent uses
I’m only a beginner at HEMA but I’m finding it hard to generate velocity in these combinations. It’s enough for sparring, but are they enough if it was an actual combat? Thrusted are great but my issue is to change a draw cut into a driving cut.
That's a problem I'm facing too, and I'm thinking that it's a matter of training and strength development. I could be completely wrong, though, seeing that I'm a beginner as well.
They’re moving very little in order to keep a tight camera shot. But you need to utilize your hips and core to generate power. Your arms are antenna to transfer the core strength into your cuts. Watch again and notice how their feet and hips are moving.
nice slippers !
please, add a full spariing speed examples, for better understending)
In the first combo, I don't really understand how the grip switch makes the movement faster? Isnt it just (at least) as fast to the the same movement true edge true edge?
The thumb grip gives you a stronger wrist position compared to doing it with a handshake grip
@@luskarian4055 ah makes sense. Thank you.
Really great video but the music is horrendous.
so is that haircut :)
