Meyer: this is the basis for all one handed weapons
Nicole: Hold my -beer- blade
Someone: Hold my dagger
Great video! This is the kind of stuff I find super interesting in HEMA, would love to see more!
More axe! :)

What brand of tomahawk trainers are those?
Awesomeness
More please - sabre *and* side-sword! I'm greedy.
Sabre :)
Could you guys also make a video on how to Block attacks. Also thank you for creating such great videos.
Side sword please
If it works with one single-hand weapon, why not with others? Maybe do another video like this with boarding cutlass like was used in the Golden Age of Sail & Piracy.
Doesn't Fiore say something similar to the effect of wrestling is the basis of all combat & the sword is the basis for all weapons?
I may be misremembering that as it's been a long time since I dove into his works but I think a few masters have similar sentiment.
Some things translate, not everything does. Check out living styles that use say one handed Tabar in the Indian subcontinent or one handed axes in Silat.
ANY one handed weapon? How about rondel dagger? As a (at least by initial appearances) thrust only weapon unsuited to parrying its likely the common European 1 handed melee weapon that is MOST dissimilar to the dussack and would prove the point very well.
Would this carry over to something like a one handed flail? Makes one wonder
At best in a very limited way. Think about the second technique and trying to change the direction of the strike. The head of the flail will continue in the same direction initially and then end up god knows where.
Pole arm please 💪
Sidesword
I really like your videos, until the end. You really need a new catchphrase that isn't super annoying. Why not just make it positive: "If you put in the time, you'll get the results."
