It's one of the most popular models we sell. This Configuration has been super popular from the 1660, to the 1759, to the 1760M and now 2860M. Great size for small hay or larger acreage maintenance and more.
I really appreciate this video! With so much competition in the compact tractor community, it can be overwhelming. Your video has certainly helped me make up my mind. My uncle farmed with two Massey Ferguson tractors, so I was leaning towards one for myself. Seeing the details of this model has impressed me! Thank you so much for showing this tractor!
Great video! I really appreciate you making the video and sharing it. I have been educating myself about Massey Ferguson tractors. My uncle had two when he was farming. Here, in southeast Virginia, there aren't many Massey Ferguson's around and only 3 dealers near me. I like the 2860M. Your video has helped me considerably. Thanks, again.
Your videos are really informational. Thoroughly enjoy them. I have a gc1725 that is garaged. What materials do you use to clean the body and motor without degrading the paint. Many thanks for your efforts.
It is not a Degreaser it is Spray Wax Product. Hot Water and Pressure and a Mild Soap like Simple Green works great to remove oil. There are some spray degreasing products but hot water and pressure works great for us when cleaning tractors.
Man this is what I mean by M-F = Mighty-Fine! I just like everything about this 2860 & what a beautiful cab & thanks for the very well explained video on how everything works on this tractor , If I needed a 3rd tractor this would be it, I just wish I had the need.
I've been watching y'all's videos for a good while. 2 1/2 years ago I was looking to trade, was looking at the Massy, and watched your video on the 2706E. I bought one and never looked back. Thanks.
Thanks for the comments. Glad we could you find the best Massey to meet your needs! Get a chance create some videos of it in action. We love seeing owners getting to use their tractors!
You always give good reviews, if I was in your area I would purchase a tractor from you, you seem to be a good guy and you know your equipment, and I bet you folks give good dealer support to your customers, very good thorough review. 👍👍🚜

Another great video! Thanks for these. It's making my life a lot easier when trying to pick my next tractor. Question for you: Are there any major improvements from a 1750/55/60m vs the new 2021 2850/55/60m? I understand that they are now using Iseki engines over Shibaura. Is that the only difference? Is it worth the $10k price increase? What would be the biggest selling point for getting a 2021 2800m series over a 2020 4cyl. 1700m series in your expert opinion?
Pricing is about the same or in many cases are lower than the Large Chassis 1700M (50/55/60) when we compare the new 2800M Models. Throttle was moved to the Right Console so you don't have to reach to the dash, Cat i'2 Cross Drilled Hitch Balls on the 2855M & 2860M, Engine was upgraded to the ISEKI Engine were the big changes for the new 2800M.
Looking at Differences. Kubota does not offer a Gear/Power Shuttle in Cab Version in this Horsepower Class. Massey Ferguson 2860M as shown in this video is a Gear with PowerShuttle Model. Optional EHydrostat is available too from Massey Ferguson. Other items I quickly see are the Hydraulic Flow is more on Massey Ferguson, 3 Point Lift Capacity. One of the things we here from customers & prospects is ergonomics and cab comfort of the Massey Ferguson. They say it just fits and easy to enter and exit. Both Companies have great reputations in the tractor industry and do like to bash competition but will point our differences. Take them both for Test Drive and find the best to fit your needs. Thanks for Watching & Commenting.
Im looking for a cab tractor, but not sure which one I should get,,,, whats the big difference between the 1759, 1760m and this 2860m? They all seem like the same tractor,,,,, looking at something in the 60 hp power range, Going to get rid of my open cab kioti rx7320 and move into a smaller machine but with a cab. Will probably run a small square baler with it instead of my 4x5 baler. I have looked at the open station 4707 but they seem to be much louder than these and the cab model is out my budget. thanks

She is a beauty! What's the main difference between the 1800 series and the 2800 series, is it the chassis size? Where does my 1547 (Mandingo!) fit into these classifications? BTW, Doug, the rain and snow we are having in southeastern Colorado I think is headed your way, hehehe! Thank you for the wonderful content!
1800M series are the 3 Cylinder 35 & 40 Engine HP Models. the 2800M are the Larger Chassis 4 Cylinder 50 to 60 Engine HP Models. 1547 would now be the 2850M for comparison. It's staying warmer here so its more rain events with a little ice and snow than snow events. We let you keep the snow. LOL
@Vahrenberg Implement LOL, ok, ok Doug! Mandingo loves snow! Thank you sir for all the great content and all the information! Massey Ferguson por vida!
Great video with a ton of information. I run a nonprofit equine assisted therapy program for over 650 children with disabilities. We have been looking for a new tractor for a ton of different duties around the farm. We are very interested in teaching hay production with the older children and using mini balers and equipment for them to learn on. Is this the smallest size MF with a cab? We feel our best tractor would be a 50 to 60hp.
Smallest Cab is the 1835M ruclips.net/video/Qf8OMNt586k/видео.html. You can get the Cab Model in 1835M, 1840M, 2850M, 2855M and 2860M and then larger series.
Most likely because it was a rattle trap, clanger-banger, non-particulate, highly Ehaust gas recirculated, hot headed price point subsistuted mistake for the "great "mitsubuchi power package. M-F most likley re deturmaned what was best for the public by not trying to save consumers 1500$ and putting quality back in. Shibaura was purchased by Perkins division of Caterpillar. And AGCO learned have been limited in supply of engines which is keeping them from growing and getting enough engines to build enough tractors. With the ISEKI & AGCO Power Engine Partnership we know have control of production and growth. Plus ISEKI has always been a highly reliable engine in the past was used up through the 1600 Premium Series Tractors. Plus Better Support of the Product. Shibaura has been a very good engine but we are super excited to be back with ISEKI Engines. Plus these Engines are super quiet! Amazing the sound level differences.
@Donald Strishock - Shibaura has been a good engine for us. 1700E, 2700E and 1700M has been very reliable. Just limited supply and holding back AGCO Growth since Perkins Division of Caterpillar purchasing them recently. We are super excited about the ISEKI Engine coming back. Dealer Support in terms of service tools and service response is one of the big benefits and GROWTH of the Massey Ferguson Brand. You would have to ask the Engineers but I would guess that access and location limited having everything on the same side. These engines don't need much oil so it's only during maintenance that it really only comes into play needing to go to both sides of the engine.

Not 100% sure about that. ISEKI is a Premium Engine. Much Quieter and service support from the Manufacturer is better. No DPF may be feature some like but the system and having the ISEKI Engine back is going to be more beneficial even with DPF. Especially since it's Stage 5 Emissions. the whole industry is going to have to make changes with the coming of Stage 5 Emission Levels. Think you will see almost every brand with DPF. Deere & Kubota are already there. Nothing wrong with the 1760M...been a great product but the new 2860M is super quiet and the future of Massey Ferguson. One benefit of ISKEI Engine is increase in PTO HP. Not a lot but more.
Vahrenberg Implement I got a 4707 and a little GC1725 Mb both great machines and great fuel mileage. If the new tractors with dpf are anything like the 5055e I had then good luck on pto power and fuel economy mine sucked
Why we excited about ISEKI Engines. That is the two features that they have had a solid reputation in the 6 Generations they powered before the 1700 & 1700M Series. ISEKI has been known for Creating PTO HP and doing it on very little fuel. ISEKI Engines powered the 1100, 1200, 1400, 1500 & 1600 Series Massey Ferguson Compacts and now the 1800M Series. Like I stated the 1700M is a Great Tractor but we excited to back with 100% ISEKI Partnership. Where the Engine, Transmission, Hydraulics and everything is designed to work together.
Just about every manufacturer current has DPF or going to have DPF to meet Stage 5 Emissions. There are many different types of DPF Systems and this Automatic System require less Regens and only Regens when needed. The more you operate in normal operating temperatures the more "Passive" or non Regen clean it can perform to reduce regen frequency. Normal use seeing 50 hours per Regen...compared to some that regen every 4 to 5 hours. Better get ready because the Clean Air Regulations are going to get more and more stringent in the future.

That is why we ask for Location before pricing. You have asked pricing on numerous videos and you will not share location so we can price if in our service area. Are you trying to hide something? Not embarrassed about my pricing but only price to those in our service area. If you live in 60 Miles radius call us: 660-584-2250.
