You wouldnt have these problems if business's or people out of state/country weren't allowed to buy property. The owners don't care because the owners aren't there. My buddys younger brother has been living in NYC, squatting in someone condo for 3 years. He looked up who owned it and was able to trace it to a Chinese corporation. So he moved in and stays lowkey about it. No people over, no parties, cleans up. So without a complaint and without owners there to let police in, he stays. Homeless do the same shit just not as efficient. They wander around to different properties until they find one that no one cares about.

Very rarely these are sobor sob story people. Once in awhile, you will find a homeless on hard times. Physical disability that lost there home. lived with their mom who past. A mentally disabled that didn't file paperwork that lost their home. Once in a while. Or, cosigner for their apartment past away.
    .
    But most times, its drugs.
    .
It takes nothing at all to be homeless. Bad roommate. Family argument.
If you don't make 3 times the rent for an apartment, you go homeless.
    ..
Shelters are usually overnight. That's to hold you back till your ID expires. Then cops can get you in for a long sit. Some of the sob stories do make it off the street.
    ..
You usually can't go outside after you are checked in to a shelter. This stops drug addicts from using homeless shelters. But a tent is more secure. You can have some previsions in it. Clean clothes. Food. Guaranteed bed.

We need to help people that are struggling and are in the verge of becoming homeless.. In the eyes of the government if you make "just enough to get by your good" but one slip up for example you lose your job/ hours get cut /laid off / accident your screwed and will take a while for you to receive assistance or get approved for disability/ social security benefits/ etc. Thats the issue people who make $15 with no dependent good luck your on your own why?? Because the government believes you can live off that. Rent has skyrocket since covid / groceries have went up/ gas has gone up.. we need to change the way our state and country is spending OUR money. And focus on helping people lower and middle class before they become homeless and lowering the requirement. I believe the minimum wage should stay the same and just increasing and providing affordable/ free training programs that could help get better jobs for people then increasing the minimum wage.

Offered help that was declined? What kind of “help” was offered? Also, where does everyone expect homeless people to go? No one wants to see them and no one wants to pay for the resources needed to truly help them. But if everybody had access to housing, this wouldn’t be such a huge and growing issue. Ask yourself why you are personally offended by homelessness, then ask yourself what you are going to do about it. Homeless camps shouldn’t exist in America. We should have compassion for the most vulnerable people, but we do not. If all of these people had a place to go, they wouldn’t be shitting on the street near your business.
