Andy is 100% like my dad was as a kid growing up a pure smartass that followed that learn by experience mentality but after a lot of small issues it made me learn to look at everything before we launch. Take time now so we have no issues once on the water. Slow is fast and fast is slow.
I had the exact same conversation before we went fishing a week ago at the Delta I asked my son on the way is the plug in the boat Yep dad it’s in the boat I guess in the boat and in the hole are two completely different questions because the plug was not in the hole but yes the plug was in the boat Love being that guy running his pump for five minutes!!! Great times great vid
I have the same 1986 mariner 30 on my 16' grumman challemger great little motor. Runs 31 down river. 27 up river. Thinking of putting a Cmc and stainless on it. I run cam 2 full synthetic at 50:1 got jugs on sale at kmart before they closed. Way less smoke The motor in vid isn't running anywhere near peak rpm..maybee that boat is just a tub He should have no more than a 12 pitch prop 11 is ideal
This reminds me of how our old Mirrocraft ran with our 15hp Ted Williams Sears motor when I was a kid. Underpowered, but never left us stranded with very little maintenance.
Can you, do a team talk on the Sharrow prop. Know they are expensive, hard to get, like power pole chargers. Just like lithium batteries 10 years ago. Great advice,
Ok, just came over here and subscribed. You’re not gonna leave us hanging on the root issue here are you? I wanna see it in your tank or dyno and with some fresh gas, filters and plugs. But it’s probably something worse like the so called power pack, you got a spare? In any case we gotta know.

If I remember correctly it was a throttle linkage issue

Reminds me of the marina i worked at in highschool. I miss working on boats.... i think its time for me to start again.
You need to deploy the minnkota at the same time to get that waterlogged old boat on plane
Love the new channel with this type of content. What did the motor problem turn out to be?
Linkage out of adjustment if i remember correctly

We could do that in the future. We have some knowledge on them but would like to learn more about them
Andy's favorite type of affordable performance boat 🤣🤣
New Nitro
Well just bolt that prop to his tool box. He'll remember next time. Lol
Haha For Sure!
Andy should have tilted that motor up to back that boat down, not the truck driver's fault.
Kudos for you for even working on a motor that old. Only 1 shop neat me will work on a motor older than an 03. They'll all sell you a new one though
Our cut off is 1990!
Would like to hear what the problem was.
Is that the new ballistic aluminum? Love the new channel. Keep it up.
👍🏻😆👍🏻🔥🔥 Thanks buddy
LOL poor kid….the hard stuff later in life will be easy for him, because you’re hard on him now.
