Don’t make excuses for the homeless. That is private property and the owner now must foot the bill for cleanup. Trespassing is illegal. There are numerous resources for the homeless. Enough is enough.
You're absolutely right. However, there are not numerous resources for homeless people and mentally ill people, or else this would not be such a big problem in so many places.
Not all homeless people are addicts and drunks. I got injured, couldn't work for a year, spent 6mos in the woods. But I always kept the camp orderly and took my trash to the dumpster. Trash is the biggest reason nobody wants them around and the first thing to draw attention to their site
Being homeless is one thing but this is down right nastiness. For this there is no excuse. Thanks Devon for the cleanup.WoW wee WoW!! I am amazed at the size of the lot after you got it cleared!! It looks great!!
I have every sympathy for the homeless - I think most of us are just one pay cheque or pension from being one of them. I don't understand throwing garbage all over the place - animals don't foul their own nests, why do people? You did a great job of clearing it up!
Exactly like I say about other videos of neighborhoods that are in not so good places, I can understand that you don’t have money but it doesn’t cost anything to clean up after yourself
I've seen some homeless encampments that were put together very nicely. Makes you wonder just why those individuals don't try to find jobs in construction. Then there are encampments that are just garbage.
We are letting too many people in. Here in the UK the population is 18m more than when I was born and we have never had as many people coming here ever. We don't have too many in tents because it is just too cold and wet. Even you are homeless there is no reason to drop trash. It is terrible the conditions they leave behind.
I lost a live oak tree during a hurricane in 2020 , I planted it when it was 1” in diameter and that was 30 years ago! When the hurricane hit and uprooted it, the base of the tree was 44” in diameter! The rootball was 12 high in the air with the tree laying down! I was sick because it was such a healthy and good shade tree, I was so upset that I wasn’t thinking about firewood or anything when the guys came over to clean up my debris! I lost that big oak tree, a cedar, a weeping willow and 9 pretty good size pine trees! Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻
Strange coincidence, moved to SC from OKC. Started following you a while ago. Appreciate all the hard work you do and the commentary as to why or what leads you to do these.
I would be willing to bet most of the homeless folk you're seeing in the warmer months are there in the winter too. The reason you're not seeing them as much in the winter is because they're in shelters where it's warm. Once it's not so cold outside, sleeping outside becomes tolerable again...
Great work with your assistance with others starting their businesses Davin. Sad to see that some of us just cannot make life work any better for whatever reason.
I wish there was a company who takes the homeless gives them a jobs, temporary housing, and actually helps them get back on their feet, as too I wish all the good hard wood trees could be taken and replanted where it is starting to become desert, would help the people , makes jobs and help the environment. the mulched wood, is it ever gathered up to help make plywood at all? or wood palettes for stoves? It is a great machine you got there gets the job done quickly.
Devon, Just a thought for you... if you're going to do.more of these jobs, you might want to consider adding a waste reduction shredder to your arsenal of toys. SSI Shredders out of Oregon might be the device youre looking for. Their shredders would shred all of that material down to a single haul for your local landfill. Plus those shredders don't care about wood, nails, steel tubing or anything. That entire homeless camp would fit in one 20 Yard dumpster.
That was one of the worst cleanups I believe you have ever done.hopefully the owner can deter the homeless from creating same kind in the future.munchie doing it thing with the new cutters.great job as always.just a doing what you do best and carry on.great video 😎😎😎👍👍👍
I think as an add on for your customers, you should have a small farm tractor with a york rake to be able to do a final clean up with the mini x to put it into burn piles.
Umm, just a question…didn’t our ancestors do basically the same thing when we stole and trespassed on their land? Our country was founded on that principle. Prove me wrong.
The shelters are full, folks. It takes time on a list to get in and don't be late even if you have no watch or charged cell phone. And you better pray it's not cold or wet outside.
So what? Thats an excuse to live like this and trash someone's property? Lol if they lived in a clean manner people wouldn't mind as much. They make themselves a nuisance.
Homeless camps up in the midlands have grown a lot as well, especially in the Red Bank/Lexington area. This region has seen explosive growth in new home construction to accommodate the exodus of people from up north. As a result, whenever a plot of land is cleared for development, they have to do the same thing you're doing in this video and perform an almost HAZMAT-level cleanup of the land before it can be surveyed.
The USS Constitutopn was made from Live Oak. There was a good reason it was called "Old Ironsides" Live Oak was extremely difficult to work with, and, it building the Constitution, they actually really put a massive hurt on the supply of Live Oak that was felt for a long, long time afterwards (So long, they went to actual steel on ships!)
We have black tupelo up here in NH too. It's one of the toughest, stingiest, hardest trees I've ever had to remove. And a tap root to the center of the earth! I 😂
Live oak is some hardwood, it’s tough and even hard to sand with sandpaper! I thought you said you just changed or sharpened the teeth on the mulcher! The TMC seems to be doing pretty good so far brother! I noticed that the oak mulch is stringy! 👍🏻
If Austin thinks he could handle it, there's a lot of folks in southern OK -- around Sulphur -- who could use some mulching/tree cleanup services due to the F3 tornado that hit there a couple of weeks ago.
Side Business Idea --- When you come across some of these more rare / valuable trees, It could be worthwhile to harvest some of it?? Lots of hobbyist knife makers, craft tool makers etc are always on the lookout for this. Plenty of RUclips "makers"...Who knows, maybe a video I used IDigit4 wood etc etc.
Wow you really cleanup anything and everything to make it greener and better don’t you? The homeless bins really can mess up an environment worse than any animal ever could. We need a good bayou al cleanup like this!
I'm sorry I was having trouble understanding how the homeless people put all the miles and tons of feet of vegetation up and the empty trashy pile of the falling down building that's a very dangerous health hazard to people coming by, that could kill somebody and other things that are falling down could you tell me again how they carried the building over to the property and put all the vegetation there?
The building was already there. The homeless invaded the rear of the building near the brush line on the water and began piling up the trash in the video.
Is there a tourist boom over the warmer months? Pushing low income people out of housing. It happens when summer season staff come in needing housing so landlords let apartments to 3 or 4 people, getting more money. It happens in my area.
wow never seen anything like this!! amazing work and thank you for the cleanup you and several others are needed for just this and i appreciate you : ) now to build some tiny homes for ppl to actually live in and get their lives on track
I have watched your videos before, but it was weird watching you clean up an area I don't live far from. It is one thing to be homeless but another to be trashy homeless. I have family members who are homeless right now in Myrtle Beach, and it's sad, but they have burned their bridges with the family. You can do so much to help someone, especially those you love, but when it comes to helping and they still steal from you and do drugs on your property its time to cut the strings. It is so much nicer driving by the areas that are getting cleaned out. No seeing half dressed people who are dirty and don't seem to care. These areas are not far from the beach. Go and wash off in the water, wash your clothes. I've helped in the soup kitchens. One was close by there years ago. It seemed like an endless line of people. Thank you for doing such a great job cleaning all the trash and shrubs out. Once the shrubs are gone and the trees thinned out, they go and find someplace else to live.
Homeless in the public are more numerous in the public in summer because they stay more in the homeless shelters during the winter to stay out of the harsher/colder weather. Many, for whatever reason, prefer to stay outside in the summer.
The mulcher you are using throws out large pieses that are as big as a human leg. Too large to be called mulch. Just this past week one was used on another post that turned out what looked like saw dust. Much better for mulching for yards. Just thoughts from that 80 PLUS year old lady.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great job, Davin! You just speak to that equipment, and it does your bidding. Your skills amaze me. I love watching you finesse that bucket. Really enjoyed this video! Stay safe out there. Waiting for the next one. ❤️
Daven, great job, but so sad when people think so less of our country and other people's property to distroy it this way. and to leave all the filth they leave, with no reguard to anyone else; And most times they are the ones complaining aobut all this climate change crap!. Great Job is once again, cleaning up a complete mess that uncaring others just left, for someone else to clean up after them. God bless you Daven. Great seeing BIG Munchie!! All Gone!
With the price of housing being astronomical more and more people are becoming homeless. I have compassion for them. There but for the grace of God go I
Myrtle Beach attracts homeless because of the climate. Milder winter than up north and not as hot as Southern areas. Seasonal businesses like this one become winter camps. Closed during the winter months and rarely visited until they get ready to reopen in the late spring. Bathrooms are an added bonus.
Don’t make excuses for the homeless. That is private property and the owner now must foot the bill for cleanup. Trespassing is illegal. There are numerous resources for the homeless. Enough is enough.
Oh no, someone has to pay to maintain their property!
@@charlesbawesome Sorry don't want homeless people in my property

It seems to me that cleaning up the homeless encampments is like playing Whack a Mole.
It's sad they are homeless but not cleaning up their trash is b.s. Awesome Video and Fantastic Job

They didn't just clean, they mulched. Big Munchie is great.
Hoarders never ever clean their messes.
Black Tupelo is more commonly called Black Gum. Beautiful tree, but has like a runner and tons of saplings. Gorgeous in the fall.
Thank you for the shout out brother!
Any time!

The homless should clean this up and the city should pay for dumpsters etc. Since their policy creates the homelessness
I was going to ask about the stringy trees, but you explained well. Nice cleanup of the encampment and vegetation.

Don’t be hard on the homeless I feel bad for their plite but it doesn’t give them them an excuse to live like pigs.
The messier the camp, the higher probability of substance abuse. Pride is for the sober.

Oh, please. Homeless people don't give a damn about climate change.
What is the difference between mulching with the doors open and closed
It defies logic that people would choose to live like that. It's so crazy here that we have to call for police presence to mitigate the angry ones.
