I don't get the "auto off" and "auto on" thing. If auto off turns off the timer and the device, then isn't that basically the same as just not using the thing in the first place? Also, I have a lamp that is turned on . I set it to turn on five minutes later. I put it on auto on, and it was staying on. Isn't the goal to have the lamp be off until it is supposed to come on?
Hello Alex, could you resolve your problem with Auto on and auto off button? I have same doubt as you, I need that timer turns on at 7 am and turns off at 7 pm every day; but auto on function turns on the timer at the set hour but not turns off at set time. I don't know how can I do that my timer turns off at set time. What do you did?
I have a GETA-US timer. I've got an espresso machine plugged into it so that it turns my machine on/off automatically. While I've had it for several years and it's worked fine, I've been increasingly losing power to the machine for 30-60 seconds each day while I'm using it. While the machine is turning on/off with no issues, is there perhaps something in the timer that might be getting too hot (or whatever) that would cause it to turn itself off for this brief period and then reset? My machine loses power...it sits there for that short time...and then the power comes back on and I continue making coffee. It just does it randomly and I can't replicate it - I'm not even actively using the machine when it does it (though it has done it mid-coffee pull, too). I tried calling your 800 number, but the options didn't match the actual help and then I got hung up on twice - ??

I need to have an all week setting for a light with 18 hours on and 6 hours off, how do i do this? tried watching here and got programing but it still would not work, my light was set to go on at 21:00 and was supposed to go off at 14:00 the next day, it just started at 20:49 and never turned off. What have I done wrong?
Hi, Sigurd. Ensure the time of day on the timer matches the current time. Also, confirm the "random" feature isn't turned on. If you see "RND" on the screen, press the hour button for five seconds to deactivate this function. When programming the off time, ensure the days of the week match what you set for the on time and "PROG 1 OFF" is displayed. If you need additional assistance, contact Defiant customer service at 1-866-308-3976, M-F, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Eastern Time.
HI, Alex. After programming the time of day, you create an ON time and an OFF time. Press the program button to begin setting your ON time. Push the day button to cycle through the day options. In your case, make sure all seven days appear at the top of the display screen. Press the hour button until 6 a.m. appears. To set the OFF time, press program again - "1 OFF" is shown on the left side of the screen. Use the day button to select the option for every day of the week, then, push the hour button until you reach 12 a.m. These steps can be reviewed starting at the 1:00 mark of this video. If you ever need the connected device to turn on or off more times throughout the day, you can repeat this process to create up to 20 ON/OFF schedules. Contact our U.S.-based consumer care at 1-800-654-8483, M-F, 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Central Time if you need additional assistance.
What if you set the on-time for, say tuesday, at 7:00, but never set the off-time, in neither this nor the other channels, does the Q output will stay ON forever?
I don't understand how to program the timer to go on-and-off on different days of the week. For example, on Sunday I'd like the timer to turn on at 7:30 pm and turn off at 11:00 pm. Then on Monday I'd like the timer to turn on at 8 :00 pm and turn off at 11:15 pm. Similarly, I want the time to turn on-and-off at different times the rest of the week. And what does it mean to have up to 20 programs? I've set up around a dozen programs on my timer, yet the timer keeps going on-and-off at the same times each night.
If the device connected to the timer has an ON/OFF switch, make sure it is turned on. Also, verify the day of the week matches the day or day group selected in your programmed setting. For additional assistance, call our U.S.-based consumer care at 1-800-654-8483, M-F between 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Central Time.
Thanks for reaching out. While pressing the clock button, push the hour button to adjust the time. As you cycle through the hours, it switches from p.m. to a.m. at midnight. If you have additional questions, Defiant technical support is available at 1-844-871-8796.
Hi, Jacqueline. To properly help you, we need more information. Can you describe the issue you experienced or assistance you need? You may also contact our U.S.-based consumer care at 1-800-654-8483, M-F, 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Central Time.
Hi, Gregg. After setting your 1 ON time using the process beginning at 1:00, press the program button to create the 1 OFF time. The steps for setting any ON or OFF program are the same. If you need additional assistance, contact us at 1-844-871-8796, M-F, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Eastern Time.
We're happy to help you set up your timer. The auto ON/OFF function follows the programs you create using the steps beginning at 1:00 of the video. If the on time you select occurs before the time of day, your light won't automatically turn on until the next occurrence of the schedule. When the indicator on the display reads "AUTO ON," the connected light is off and will turn on at the next scheduled time. If a program is running, the indicator displays "AUTO OFF" to show the light will turn off when your next off time occurs. You can also call 1-844-871-8796, M-F, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Eastern Time for additional assistance.
@@JascoProductsCompany i figured it out 2 hours later. the initial setup makes you pick a sunup and sundown. you would think thats the end of it but it seems to be a useless option that means absolutely nothing. my timer didnt work until i actually went into the program section and set it for all days and set the sunup and sundown there. very confusing.

Hi, Javier. If an off time is not programmed, the connected device will remain on until it is manually turned off.
