I know what you’re going thru Kaye. I lost my mom in 2015 at 89 years of age. She passed away in my home, in my arms on Thanksgiving Day (2015) at 8:30 am. We raise a glass to her every holiday. It does get better as time goes on…God bless your mom. God bless you
In 1998 my mom at 59 years old was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. The doctor, then, said it was her diet that caused it. She did not eat much of anything, ever and did not take vitamins. In 2003 she was leaving us. I live out of state. I got there and she hung on. Dad would be in the room. Then my sister would be in the room. Then myself. She hung on until all 3 of us was in the room around her. Then she took her last breath. I began researching and learned then that our diets and nutrients our bodies need are way deficient. I know this is hard for you and I pray for strength and comfort for you and your family.

Hello dear friend good to see you , I used a pillow for my bum called a donut its just like a donut , it helped me with a fractured tail bone it that was hard to heal the donut has a hole and keeps the pressure off and keeps you comfortable while you sit your Mom will live till she is finishes negotiating with God , I lost my Mom because cancer she was 43 I was there with her for months , when she died I was not in the room with her , please be at ease if she goes she wont be alone , she will be surrounded by angels I oray you will be fine God bless you and your Mom , she will soon be in her heavenly home .

@Latebloomershow Nothing particular other than vitamins. I learned to drink it when I was a backcountry ranger for the forest service over 30yrs ago. If I remember correctly, it's full of vitamins and other good healthy things for us that you didn't get from drinking creek/stream water. It's amazing what nature can offer us for free. We just have to take the time to find it. 😊

Really sorry about your mother specially around the holidays. I lost my 88-year-old dad a couple years ago and I thought I’d be able to be with him. He was at home but then hospice took him overnight because he wasn’t feeling well after a flu shot and I never saw him again, my prayers that you could be with your mom when it’s her time much love from Florida 🙏❤️

@@Latebloomershow in my mom's case, it was distention of the abdomen, due to her inability to empty her stomach. She became very uncomfortable, so we took her off of morphine and the nurse assistant worked to get her bowels moving again. It just depends on what stage your mom is in as to weather it will add to her comfort or not, I think.

Love to you, Kaye. I know this waiting time with your mom is hard. Remember that "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness..." And you will never regret spending that time with your mom. I'm sure I've said that to you before. We don't know what God may be doing for your mom in this in-between time. And, as I read in another comment, it's possible she's waiting for someone else to come. I believe my mom did that. She was awake and aware when my brother finally came to see her, and the next day she was unresponsive, and she died the following morning. At any rate, I will continue to pray for both of you❤️✝️🙏 Mary is a wonderful friend to you. She is understanding of where you are at this time of life. Keep leaning on Jesus, friend.
The dementia is confusing the end, according to hospice. Not loving hospice at all, but can't change anything this near the end. We have all been there, repeatedly, so IDK who it would be.

The other person you might be interested in is Paul Saldino.He feels that by just eating organic meat, organic fruit, raw dairy, good fats are the only things he eats. Oh Kaye, it's incredibly painful to watch a loved one's body disintegrate. Your mother sure beat my mother who lingered between here and there for six weeks, after every bit of quality of life was long gone. The hospice workers told me mom would go when she's ready and if she wanted me there it would happen. And there was more than a few times I thought this was it. In the end, mom picked me and my sister to see her off to wherever the rest of the family went. Just keep talking to her. Read scripture. Sing to her because hearing is the last sense to go. Maybe she's waiting to have her last Thanksgiving together with you? ❤❤

But, who? We've all been there.
Oh Kaye, it's incredibly painful to watch a loved one's body disintegrate. Your mother sure beat my mother who lingered between here and there for six weeks, after every bit of quality of life was long gone. The hospice workers told me mom would go when she's ready and if she wanted me there it would happen. And there was more than a few times I thought this was it. In the end, mom picked me and my sister to see her off to wherever the rest of the family went. Just keep talking to her. Read scripture. Sing to her because hearing is the last sense to go. Maybe she's waiting to have her last Thanksgiving together with you? ❤❤
