@@sandwichninja Well, that just goes to show how stupid gun laws are. You just informed me that my legally aquired .50 Beowolf mags effectively make me a criminal now.
@@pepelapiu2004 Sorry man. It happened pretty recently. Don't get rid of the mag obviously. I'd read up about the law because they're may be a loophole for people that already own them. I know that they guns stores won't sell them now though, because they're under such heavy scrutiny from the RCMP. Here's a link for you if you're interested: calibremag.ca/rcmp-prohibit-50-beowulf-magazines/ Keep in mind though that this happened in 2015, so something might have changed since then. Like I said though- you won't see them in stores anymore.
The cleaning kit is awesome what a weird comment. 8:14 this is actually my main gripe, having also switched to the pistol grip. That bolt catch release lever is WAY WAY WAY too sensitive. I'll put the rifle down and the vibration can be enough if at the right angle.
_"Huge improvement over the original design??"_ Based on what was said there were few improvements, mainly I saw just changes to suit smaller people & women. Many bigger folks like the older, slightly larger version of the Tavor, i.e. the IWI SAR because of the larger front rail to hold with their large hands, the older magazine release was/is very fast/easy to use, & the charging handle forward helps their long arms to charge more comfortably. So while the X95 (the Mini Tavor) is a great long gun, the original Tavor is really excellent and can go toe to toe with the X95.
We have 10 round mags too, but yeah... it's retarded. Thankfully most of our mags are actually 5/30, so if the crap ever hits the fan or the law gets repeal we can just remove the pins.
save the money. X95 is a CQB weapon. Put a good red dot on it, or a 3x red dot. Leave the cap on the red dot unless you need magnification and your good to go, providing you can shoot with both eyes open.
Vortex viper pst 1-6. Illuminated reticle, etched reticle if batt goes dead. With a 6x to max the range of the Canadian 18.6" barrel... Not as fast as a red dot but way easier to shoot out to 200-300 yards
You dont need a cheek riser if you have the proper optic on your weapon as opposed to the one you are using. This weapon is accurate to mil-spec; 3 MOA. Can it do better; yes. With the right optic, ammo, and shooter. There is nothing about the X95 that needs revision as it is the most perfectly crafted bullpup on the market for the last few years. A few have tried to out perform it amd failed. Most recently the Desert Tech MDR and KelTec with its RFB and RDB models. None can hold a candle to thw X95....there is also a 7.62/308 model as well; Im saving up for that right now.
Got my Tavor 7 2 weeks ago, and just as I suspected it's just as well built, and performs just as well as my X95. Very pleased with this weapon. Now this weapon could handle that LPVO you had on your X95.
I had trouble with the cutlass grip too. I took steelstik putty and added an extra long tab on the top finger groove below the trigger and it helped a lot. It gave my hand a more positive location and kept my middle finger from getting behind the trigger
I love you, I really do, but I can only feel sorry for Canadians like yourself. Close to 90% of you live close to the American border, so what's so hard about moving just a tad bit south? Tens of thousands of Canadians do it every year. Do you ever think about that?
recoil mitigation lolol from a 5.56 semi auto? you cant be serious i live near your store but this vid is just ridiculous. incredibly accurate lmao recoil mitigation rofl.
Rob Lucas get rid of the macho attitude and come to terms with the fact that any mitigation is better than nothing as it helps keep you flatter and jolts the rifle less which in turn keeps you on target easier in sight picture.
I support this channel because I support gun rights in Canada! ~A nosy American
(and first always wanted to say that)
im first thats not a douche bag
This shooting center single handedly.managednto get a gun banned in Canada. Read about.it.
@@CJ-eo2xz which firearms was that LOL. And what happened? Your link doesnt work anymore
I bought one yesterday! It's shipping on Monday and I'm hitting the range on Thursday. CANNOT WAIT! This is gonna be awesome! :D
Two of my favorite firearms (Tavor X95 + Derya MK12) in reviews back to back! Thank you so much for the videos Steve & The Shooting Edge!
rip mk12
again... how is this channel not more popular?
one of THEE most watchable gun reviewers on the planet!
Cause the Shooting Edge is owned by a traitorous snitch.
I love my X95. And I like what you did with the shooting portion of the video! It's hard to make it look appealing with a 5 rnd pin.
I would like to know if that gun accepts the Beowolf .50 mags.
That way I could have 14 round mags and still be legal.
@@pepelapiu2004 .50 Beowolf mags are prohibited in Canada now, unless you pin them, which defeats the purpose.

Hey! I have been to the store...didn't know you had a channel. great quality vids. Ill spread the word.
I recently got to use one and I love it. Just the $2,700 Canadian is just out of my reach right now :(
Aftermarket mag release when?
Great review Steve
Where is the outdoor range you’re shooting at?
Thanks for review!
I love my X95.
No ones troubled by the aug? Can we get augs? I didn't know we could have augs in Canada?
Darien Seminoff I guess because they are dealer
Love my x95 tavor……..
Is my second go too after my colt mrr dimaco 11.5.

Has anyone tried the Beowolf .50 mags in that gun?
Love mine so far.
So you can use the same mags from ar15 for this or gotta buy new mags?
Same mags as your typical "ar-15". I use the PMAG 30 5.56X45MM just fine with this rifle. Super sweet.
This could be my new favorite one.... video that is... I love my Tavor V1! Great job guys.
Which aftermarket magazines did you find worked the best?
Can it take the 10rnd lar pistol mags?
5 rounds?
Its me or the gun part at 3:90 is hypnotic 😳
And whats the music

How the fuck did you get an AUG?
They are retailer so they can have access to prohibited firearms.
Dang! You have 5 round micro-mags? That make that rifle totally safe! If you had 6 rounds, look out!!!!!

2700$ in Canada
$2700 Canadian
Love from India sir....
Seems like a lot of scope for that kind of shooting...

Why the scope mounted so high? Terrible parallax, on target at one distance.
I love it
Music almost made me change
I want one now 😆
"Incredibly accurate"
Long range is needed

American health care can be horrendously expensive. I'm an American.
Too many wackos in the USA
2.5 moa ia not accurate
it is accurate for what you need from this rifle.
For a Battle Rifle its plenty accurate.
4 MOA is all thats required.
