As a retired armament technician and instructor, I appreciate the slow motion as is clearly shows mechanical functions and reactions that real time cannot.

Not sure why some commenters are bashing the slow motion. I think this channel displays some of the best slow motion video. As well as, I like to see how the mechanics of firearms work. Something you won't be able to see under normal speeds. I for one appreciate Larry bring so cool firearms to the channel and takes the time to provide information. I own an X95 and love it. People bitch about its accuracy. However, the X95 was not created to be an MOA rifle. The barrel is "Combat Accurate" which will get the job done at to 500 meters. If you want precision accuracy, get a solid bolt gun. The Tavor's are combat rifles.

TAR-21s are some of the nicest rifles we Canadians can pick up on the market. It's a great rifle and I find it pretty comfortable to shoot, and I usually run it out to 200-300 meters. It's got pretty good practical accuracy, so it should work for most people unless you're going for precison competitions.

Czars Epidemic Some of the nicest we can pick up? The only Rifles/SMG’s I can’t buy that I really want are the SCAR 17s, MP5, MP7, UMP, Steyr AUG, UZI, and the AK. I’m not exactly lacking in the ability to reach out and touch though with the H&K MR308A3-28, DD MK18, B&T TP9, and Thor’s Hammer, AKA Sako TRG42 in .338LM. There are places in the States that hurt more then we do. You can’t even get Firearms shipped direct to your Door there, which is silly.

    • @dwmaddawgs

  • @3.2Carrera

I picked up an X95 recently. For it's intended role, I think it's a brilliant concept and I greatly enjoyed shooting it with an EOtech, DMPS linear comp, and a forward vertical grip. I shot it offhand at close range so I don't know about the bench accuracy. I can say that it's super fast handling and will blow up the center of mass of a silhouette target at combat ranges in practical accuracy. So no, it will not be as accurate as an AR with a free floated barrel and no gas piston but the X95 is still good and really fun. For a long stroke I thought it was super smooth shooting too.

The BrahMos Missile is in collaboration with the Russians. I highly doubt Indians, as of now, can come up with such sophisticated tech on their own. Also, the aircraft carrier in service is bought from the soviets.
Anyways, my point was, you lot definitely have the capability, resources and will to make but for some reason just can't.
Now I don't understand why would you flip out on me for mentioning that. I favour Indians alot of times but from now on I'm going to stop. Takecare.

It’s quite interesting that the Former rebel leader and politician Jean Pierre Bemba in the DRC had a presidential guard unit that was equipped with the Tavor. The Tavors were given over to the South African embassy in 2007 when Bemba fled Kinshasa after the political dispute and gun battles between his guards and government forces. I wonder how he acquired them and why he still had his presidential guard unit even after the end of the Congo war in 2003. Maybe something to do with IDI Congo and Israeli PMCs etc.

Love the videos and the weapons that are showcased, but the sound effects in slow-mo, man...I think we'd like to hear the original unedited sounds.

The X95 has ergonomic issues for me, probably because of the OAL modifications they had to do to make it legal. The regular tavor feels absolutely perfect. What's surprised me the most with my tavor is just how accurate the thing is, especially when you push out beyond 100 yards, it's just so easy to get follow up shots at distances that would have normally felt problematic with a normal rifle. You have so much contact with the rifle, it just feels great to shoot standing at distance.

The original Tavor and the CTAR-21 are standard issue assault rifles for Indian Special Forces. Extremely effective weapons - used thoroughly throughout the last six-seven years. I think we got our hands on the Tavor a year or two after the IDF.

Having a low to barrel built in optic seems best to me, because those high perched scopes have a terrible parallax making them sight in at only 1 distance.

The IDF is crazy. They have so much intensive training and technique innovation, on top of some of the most innovatively designed small and large arms in the world. No surprise how they’ve managed in that region for so long now.

Considering the fact that the X-95 is an assault rifle desgned to handle Rifle Pressure cartridges, I assume it's 9mm verson can handle those Russian overpressure Armor-Piercing rounds, such as 7N21 and 7N31. Something only some Purposely made guns (such as the GSH-18 and PP-2000) can handle such overpressure rounds. Howeaver, by being an assault rifle, the X-95 could easely handle 41.000+ PSI cartridges. The only other non-Russian gun that can fire 7N21 and 7N31 cartridges is the Steyr AUG, wich also has a very common 9mm conversion.

I have an earlier Tavor SAR (Woodland Digital) in 5.56 with the correct Israeli Collimator Sight. The stock trigger at 8-10 pounds pull and NO creep (3 finger effort) was HORRIBLE and even IWI USA recommended swapping out the TG with a $200.00 replacement X-95 TG, which is what I did. MUCH better, but I still prefer the AK platform in M43 caliber-John in Texas

My experience with supressed x95 is that it is a one side gun. You can’t run it off hand because the ejection port is so close to your nose that all you get is a nose full of burned powder. I took two shots to zero my father in laws who is lefty and I handed it back and said no thank you. It was in shootable off hand. Otherwise, cool rifle if you only go around one kind of corner and don’t need to shoot off hand

I really liked the look of this rifle and wanted one. Right up to about 5 minutes ago when I watched a practical accuracy test by “ 9 hole review”. This thing is a 3-4 moa rifle. It slings rounds out like a damn shotgun blast pattern. Lol. I couldn’t believe it. Had no idea it was so inherently inaccurate. He used almost a whole magazine just to get 2 strikes on target at 450. It does fine out to 200 but at 300 you start wasting ammo. Lol. NOT FOR ME. 😂
