The hidden belt holes in the gold column dress are genius. I’m torn about the ideal length though. I think I prefer longer cos it has more of a statuesque feel to it, which was the original intention. But I’d definitely convert the last dress into a skirt & top.
The metallic dress as separates is definitely the way to go. I'm definitely going to try flipping the blouse method for some drama. Thanks, Trinny. It's a great video, great ideas.
My personal opinion is to leave the column dress full-length. It is stunning, and such an unusual piece. As for the floral dress, I wouldn't add a sleeve. The shape is perfect as it is.
Absolutely loved this episode - perfect start to my Saturday ❤ I predict that the floral dress hemmed to the right length with the side ribbon detail added will be perfection. No belt needed. Can’t really make a wrong decision on the column dress hem, so beautiful at both lengths.
Triny you always have great ideas and know exactly how to change things up for the better or just to give a dress more character and wear it in a different way. Thanks for showing us this video.
Absolutely loved this closet confessions ♥️ Could you wear the khaki dress back to front as it seems to be cut higher in the back? The metallic dress in a two piece would be stunning!
I tuck in all my tops, or wear cropped, which just cover a skirt waistband (because I’m short). I felt frumpy all throughout the long-top-worn-out period, so I tried tucking about five years ago, what an improvement. I’m middle-aged, normal weight, not skinny, and have a slightly rounded tummy, but that’s nothing compared to the loss of proportion I get from not showing any shape. That still-popular tunic-over-leggings look among women my age is the worst and has been out of style since the 90s. Tuck those tops in, then don’t look down, look in the mirror instead.
Long time fan, first time comment...that 70s dress is PERFECT as is! It is absolutely one of my favorite pieces I've ever seen you in and I would love to have in my own wardrobe. I would be a shame and a sin to change a thing IMHO. My boyfriend looked up and agreed with me completely by the way...
It's gorgeous but she says it's too tight and she can't breathe so if she cuts some off the bottom then she will be able to add a column to the side seams and it will be wearable
I would make the column dress shorter Trinny and wear it more frequently and flexibly, love the belt trick hiding it from back xx thanks always, love your videos and advice xxx
Love all your closet confessions!! And you are SO inspiring that just this past week, I cut a round neck cami straight across from armpit to armpit and created a Dickie out of it. It was always a perfect layer piece for underneath sweaters (it peeks out at the neckline perfectly!) but it got too tight around my bust line. Now I have this pink colour at my neckline while being comfortable at the same time. I would never have done anything like that before watching you play with all your clothes. Now, what else can I get scissor happy with 😂!! (PS: I would cut the dresses to that perfect ankle length…it suits you so well.!
Wow the column dress!! 😍 It is stunning on you! 🤩....and the green dress is beautiful!! ... I've just bought a dress in the same green and you've given me ideas for it! ❤
The 70s print dress is beautiful as it is. Don't mess with it except to make it fit at the sides! If you shorten it you will ruin the pattern repeat at the front which gives it so much.
I like the khaki dress best with the matching belt, green sandals and the first necklace you tried on initially with it. I love the flowered dress without a belt and would wear with your white plateform sneakers.
Love love love that blue twist trick🎉 ooooh make the gold one a halter dress (just tie a ribbon at the back of the neck to hold the straps) it is a good ankle moment - love that!
This may be the first time I’m not a fan of a certain look, which was the blue shirt.😅 but the rest, I love! Especially that green dress with the chunky necklace!
Column dress I would definitely shorten and possibly the sleeves also. The metallic dress I would separate into top and skirt to have more use from. The khaki dress I would wear hot pink.
Frankly Trinny you'd look good in a bin bag. Must be nice!! X you are such a lovely person, always liked you. My daughter and I watched some of the old WNTW last night.... Absolutely blooming hilarious, so unPC nowadays and all the better for it thankyou 🥰
Luved this episode, amazing pieces! I think it would be sad to cut the column dress as sooo hard to find amazing dateless floor dusting gowns ! I was waiting for neon yellow or any neon to pair with the khaki….maybe 🤔. Cut the last dress for sure would look so amazing as separates and way more versatile! Great episode ❤
Was just thinking that neon necklace in Trinny's clear perspex drawers would go perfect with the khaki dress - was sad when she added the metallic one instead, lol!
You could add shirring to the sides of the gold column dress ( maybe with a drawstring on the inside), so you wouldn't lose the option of wearing it long ;)
The cream column dress looks BEAUTIFUL on you. It is a tad long though, and could maybe be taken up a notch or two and still maintain that column look. 💕
Trinny could you talk about your diet. I can't get over your figure at 59. Could you maybe chat about food you avoid and food you eat. Do you fast etc. I'm guessing every one of your followers would love to know.
Tbh, I think the vintage floral is wearing you.. so don't change it just pass it on. But great video thanks, I'm going to chop the frumpy sleeves off a cos dress I have.
For the column dress add a button and tie to the sides so it can be rushed up from the inside. Like what’s on shirt sleeves to turn them into 3/4 length. So it’s adjustable.
love what you did to the long gold column dress. i think you would get more wear out of it if it was shorter. i guess it depends if need more outfits that are dressy, or more day time wear really? You look fabulous either way.
Omg. Mari from San Antonio Texas. I discovered you not to long ago and absolutely love your ideas. And yes as a 60 yr old woman I'm always hiding my belly But your right....only I see my self from the top up. And others straight forward. I'm going to take your advice. Thx
💛 Super Sunny Co-Ord 💛 😉 Liked the rock-n-roll attitude of the side half tuck w/the pleated skirt. Otherwise, I would knot (& tuck it inside) if you want a cropped look. 😊Liked the length of the bold vintage pink & red floral masterpiece as well as the silhouette. 🤔Would have Azucena color block a slim, long "V"insert on each side of the bodice. That change could definitely fit in w/the dress & era〰️esp. since the pattern doesn't match at the seams anyway. In fact, a solid bright pink section would only make it all the more striking & slimming. That summery khaki green dress is very versatile. 💗Loved the pink & green belt. 😍This shade of green does have a lot of color companions to change it up. I enjoy pairing it w/ black🖤 or navy⚓️ too. Edit: ✂️ The last dress definitely needs to be split into 2 pcs. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
Maybe consider putting a draw string in the column dress and then you can pull it and get a ruched shorter moment but still have the drama of the full length when you want!
I would not shorten the yellow t shirt-bc then that is the only way you can wear it in the future-unless you can buy a second one. They match perfectly-in the future you may not be comfortable wearing a tummy revealing top. Right now- you look AB-solutely fabulous! xo
Hi Trinny, I love the idea of wearing the shirt the other way around. Could I try that with a white blouse with a large peter pan collar? Thanks Trinny. Best wishes, Lisa, Galway, Ireland xx
Could you put a belt with it Trinny I had pale yellow top. and trousers on other day and I thought ah what would Trinny do, a tan belt added looked great. Your tips are great. Lol
That final metallic dress-STUNNING-and how sensational it would be as separates!
Yep
That olive green/khaki dress looks STUNNING on you, Trinny! That color is gorgeous on you
The hidden belt holes in the gold column dress are genius. I’m torn about the ideal length though. I think I prefer longer cos it has more of a statuesque feel to it, which was the original intention. But I’d definitely convert the last dress into a skirt & top.
That blue pant suit with the backwards blouse is ingenious! I could never pull it off but it looks incredible on you! ❤
Love the column dress long; it's so cool but also elegant 👌
Keep the column dress long please it looks elegant
YES DEFINATELY.
The green would’ve been great with a white tee and some black pumps maybe; looks like something ms. Carla would wear🤍✨
I like this sort of vid - it provokes thoughts re changing 'beloved unworns'. 👏
The metallic dress as separates is definitely the way to go. I'm definitely going to try flipping the blouse method for some drama. Thanks, Trinny. It's a great video, great ideas.
I feel like Trinny's closet is the adult version of a barbie dream house closet! I just wanna go in there and try everything on lol
I love taking old clothes to the tailor, giving them new life, and creating a piece that is unique and fits just the way you want it! So fun!
My personal opinion is to leave the column dress full-length. It is stunning, and such an unusual piece. As for the floral dress, I wouldn't add a sleeve. The shape is perfect as it is.
Wonderful uplifting video, as always. Loved how when you reversed the belt to pink, the outfit became less serious and more playful.
Love the vintage dog show dress. Please keep the length!
This styling session was amazing! I learned so much. Thanks Trinny ❤
Would love to see how the skirt and top turn out from the last dress!
The last dress is my fave ❤
Todays closet confession belt hole hack is genius I wear so many kaftans never thought of that from the front only and adding the shoulder pad
I love you, Trinny! Tanks for all!!!
No belt no sleeves just that pink floral dress!!!!
Absolutely loved this closet confessions ♥️
Could you wear the khaki dress back to front as it seems to be cut higher in the back? The metallic dress in a two piece would be stunning!
Great vid! Re: the column dress towards the beginning, I think shortening it would make it look better and therefore more wearable 👍
totally agree

Loved that gorgeous green/khaki dress, the way it draped at the back and yes! The final dress as a skirt - do it :-)

Loved this one. So happy to see you give your clothes new life. I have some made of glorious material that I would like to reimagine

I’d love to see what bags you’d wear with all those khaki dress outfits!
Thanks for the inspiring ideas on changing your clothes.
Love the yellow outfit Trinny x
Love the metalic dress cut up , and the other dress is beautiful as a column ❤
Fab looks T - particularly loved all you did with the Kaki dress.
Te floral dress with big prints is just perfect. Just change the shoes.
I would make the column dress shorter Trinny and wear it more frequently and flexibly, love the belt trick hiding it from back xx thanks always, love your videos and advice xxx
Soooo pretty in yellow!

Shorten the column, great inspiration here 👏🏼
Wow the column dress!! 😍 It is stunning on you! 🤩....and the green dress is beautiful!! ... I've just bought a dress in the same green and you've given me ideas for it! ❤

Ditto..🤓
All gorgeous items. That column dress with the gold belt 🤩 I like both lengths, as it is, or shorter (obviously will be more wearable).
I like the khaki dress best with the matching belt, green sandals and the first necklace you tried on initially with it. I love the flowered dress without a belt and would wear with your white plateform sneakers.
Another great one! The khaki dress is a miracle!
.....on column dress.....Slit up side to make it wearable and shorter....Love the belt idea...
The dress from the dog show is pretty, but I would suggest throwing a bright sweater/ jumper over top.
....Crop the yellow top....Ab's look great....very chic...
Ugh Trinny you are so gorgeous its obscene! 😍😍😍
Love youre advice❤you have helped me find my confidence again..and tuck in!!!!😂❤❤❤❤❤
Yes make the gold dress a skirt and halter! Then show us! Great idea will look fabulous
Love love love that blue twist trick🎉 ooooh make the gold one a halter dress (just tie a ribbon at the back of the neck to hold the straps) it is a good ankle moment - love that!
Love all the ideas!
Slightly shorten that gorgeous gold column dress. Wow!
You have magical ideas! So inspiring!😍
Cut the last dress and make it a skirt. Love it with boots and a black turtleneck.
Or wear a sweater over it
Thanks Trinny...I will visit my wardrobe 🤓 (perhaps keep the column dress long for the odd invitation to the Ball..)
Didn’t realise how expensive some simple alterations are ! Might learn the sewing machine 👍🏼
I think the column dress looks better shorter, more modern and practical
This may be the first time I’m not a fan of a certain look, which was the blue shirt.😅 but the rest, I love! Especially that green dress with the chunky necklace!
Love the yellow!
Keep the length in the column....so graceful and sweeping with ankles hidden 🤓
Oh that last dress!!! I wish you would wear it😁 If you separate it you can bring them back together with a bare midriff😁😁😁
Did she say 59!?!! Trinny you look INCREDIBLE!
Great inspo I will shop my closet😉🌷
This was brilliant as always 😊😊😊😊
I was screaming at the screen when you were doing the funky version of the green halter dress, "GRAB THE NEON YELLOW BIB NECKLACE!"
Column dress I would definitely shorten and possibly the sleeves also. The metallic dress I would separate into top and skirt to have more use from. The khaki dress I would wear hot pink.
Love you Trinny ❤❤❤❤
Frankly Trinny you'd look good in a bin bag. Must be nice!! X you are such a lovely person, always liked you. My daughter and I watched some of the old WNTW last night.... Absolutely blooming hilarious, so unPC nowadays and all the better for it thankyou 🥰
I quite like the last dress, for me with the right choker It is a great dress
This is awesome! I’m going to get in my closet and see what’s up!
How gorgeous the last dress was…🎼
Just fabulous as always :)
Love love the flowers dress beautiful
Very clever use of accessories
Love the khaki dress and high necklace
Trinny you look gorge in everything. ❤
Fascinating!
TRINNY you are so gorgeous you often don’t need jewelry 💞💞💞

Whatever you wear is wonderful
This was great and so interesting. How to make unsuitable clothes look suitable. Last dress would be great as separates. 😊
Great video! Was expecting neon yellow with the khaki dress 😅

I thought this colorful belt that was tried on with the flower dress would add vibrancy to the khaki green dress - love the videos! 10:03
I like the column dress shorter.
Shorter on the gold… lovely ❤
Perfect! I like to define waist, never loosen trousers or skirts😂
Omg. Mari from San Antonio Texas. I discovered you not to long ago and absolutely love your ideas. And yes as a 60 yr old woman I'm always hiding my belly

Such creative ideas! I urgently need to know what bra top you are wearing with the shoulder pads?
