  • Electrical short , GM Buick LeSabre, Pontiac, Chevy, Cadillac etc. solve electrical issues due to a BAD GROUND , Ignition Failure no Spark, Cam sensor , crank sensor.
Cigarette lighter not working. Fuses good.
    --------------------
    What you need to know:
The Fuse block screws hold it down tightly to a grounded plate underneath. If corrosion is under there, or the bolts holding down become loose over time, ...you’ll have AMAZING intermittent electrical problems/issues and eventually they will become so bad you’ll say BAD WORDS!!! Issues stemming from this problem can be near IMPOSSIBLE to diagnose.... Fuses will test GOOD but in fact there will be no power where you need it to go. All other grounds might be cleaned and working, but your problem will remain.
You’ll even start doing CRAZY things... like replacing parts you know aren’t bad... just so you’ll have something to tell your friends.
Eventually, your dignity will be left in shreds and you’ll still have no solution. Your friends will leave you... your spirit ancestors will be crying out to you with the answer... listen to them! And if they can’t fix cars... good thing you found this RUclips video.
THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. ANYONE CAN TIGHTEN THESE.
note: some comments are saying their bolts are completely gone... keep this in mind:
there is a gap and flat contact of metal between the top and bottom halves of these GM fuse blocks just like the on the Ignition modules. If yours have been loose a long time and/or you live is a wet nasty place, there is probably a ton of dirt and bad stuff in between the top and bottom halves on the flat electrical contact area. Be sure to inspect and clean anything that could interfere with the electrical ground. I'm not a real mechanic but I believe there is even a dielectric grease that should go in between the 2 metal halves to protect from that happening. good luck
PS. As pointed out in the comments.. .many GM cars have more than one fuse block... those cars with battery under the back seat, also have +Pos and -Neg connections and fuse boxes there... if they are corroded, and/or not grounding well = same problem.

watching this I checked my fuse box, and it was barely on the fender! Wow. I tightened the 3 bolts down and Problem solved! It has caused a lot of other electrical problems over the years. Thanks a million! I was changing all kinds of parts and nothing worked until now!!!!!!

I have a 2006 Buick Lucerne V6. Needed a new battery changed it & then would not crank. All accessories working but when I engaged the ignition switch console went dead. Checked all fuses & relays in both fuse boxes, all good. Checked starter by jump 30 to 87 terminals on crank relay terminals, it is good. Finally found this video so checked the three bolts, tightened them and it cranked right up!!! Thank you!!!! Have not found any other video or resolution informing about this. Grateful!

I've got a '92 Regal. After having a mechanic replace the steering column for me, as well as the ECU, a crank sensor, some control modules (all of this over a few years), and after having removed the factory stereo for aftermarket install, then reinstalling original stereo for periods of time and going back to aftermarket units a handful of times:
I suddenly started having no power to the radio circuit, my dash lights stopped working 99% of the time, but they cut back in here and there, my tach started acting up and pinning itself to the bottom (it once even wiggled itself over the stopper and got stuck under there for a few days), my headlights would cut out on me on very hot summer nights, then come back to life after the engine sat and cooled off a little.
I'm going through all of the grounds, cleaning and reseating. I can't find any real info on all 3800TPI ground points for a '92 Limited, especially for interior.
But I can guarantee that many of these issues ARE related to corroded contact points in some way.
I've had several older rusty GMs with bouncy fuel gauges, turning signals speeding up and slowing down with engine RPM. I've had a rust-bucket Venture that suddenly stopped charging its battery altogether, and I could never find the specific problem. I had a Fiero that would only start cold, but would no-start crank while hot, I sold it to a dude who simply cleaned up the battery tray and it started on a 1/4 turn each time. I replaced the coils, wires, bought expensive-ass plugs, before learning that it was all because of one bad ground.
All that to say: GMs are exceptionally unforgiving for electrical resistance; sometimes a seemingly unrelated circuit screws with the one you're actually having an issue with.
It WILL screw with your head sometimes. Don't pull your hair out, don't dump your money into replacing major sensors and modules. Take a step back and try probing elsewhere, first.
