In the repair manual I have for my 99 500, it says the rear differential is not user serviceable that we must replace entire unit as they do not even list the parts, or so said the manual, online parts dealers had diagrams for parts only for that housing n shaft you were working on...

There is a website called Babbittsonline parts that sells OEM Arctic cat parts and has great parts diagrams online.
