Great job Steve. Excellent tips...at least on Pt. B of your rear diff repair (haven't seen part A yet). I'm dealing with an intermittent clinging noise coming from the rear diff on an old Prairie 300. Don't have a dedicated shop so I'm trying to do it in the garage without occupying it too long. I've heard it's possible to use a large nut to remove the bearing stop you improvised a tool for with the help of your neighbor but not sure if it'll work. Guess I'll be finding out soon. Thanks.
If you open up the rear end and it looks real bad, I still have the rear end off the Prairie 400 I'm parting out, and I bet the 300 and 400 share the same rear end.

How much is the rear differential for that
Did the new rear diff come with the drive shaft as well?
I do not remember. It's been several years.
@@stevewatr I was just curious. My 2002 arctic cat busted the bearings in the rear diff drive shaft
Why did you rebuild it?
407ForRent For the love of it. Thanks for watching.
