have the below queries about the Elective Data Structures & Algorithm Design in M.Tech:
1.Which programming language this course is taught in like (C, C++,Java or Python) ?
2. Does this course have any pre-requisite like knowledge of a specific programming ?
3. Can we submit assignments in the programming language of our choice ?
1. In this course they don't teach you any languages. You need to know either one of the languages you mentioned above to complete the course.
2. Yeah, there will be some assignments for you in each semester. To complete them without fail you need to know a programming language either it's python or Java or c..it's your choice...professor will ask you to do in your flexible language
3. Yeah as mentioned earlier you can solve the assignment case in any of your flexible language
what if my organization does not participate in the program, they would just provide No Objection Certificate. Can I still apply for BITS Pilani WILP program ?? How to go about dissertation/project work in such case ?
I couldn’t understand what do you mean regarding Organisation participation?
If you are interested in a WILP COURSE you can apply for it along with your organisation acceptance letter. This is must for sure!
For dissertation the process remains the same only the mentor will be the deciding factor along with the BITS PILANI external examiner

I am working @WEST BENGAL... CAN I DO B TECH WILP BIITS PILANI RAJASTAN WHICH IS A FAR DISTANCE.. AROUND 1800-2000 KM FROM WEST BENGAL
There are many people who are studying in BITS PILANI WILP programs but working Abroad! Therefore no issues go for anyone of the WILP programme

Sir i just wanted to know if wilp bita plani btech final year final semester if any person score 10marks in only 1subject then what will happen wheather he will fail and i have to repeat same semester.
Yes if someone fails in semester 6 the one subject will carry over to next semester and 7th semester normally project alone we have to do it.but if in case he failed to clear even subject that will carry over to 7th semester and the project will move to 8th semester .
Is that project required to be unique i.e. similar solution has not been done by anyone when searched on internet? Can we follow similar solution from internet and apply to our company use case?
Yes you can choose a similar one but acceptance depends on your BITS FACULTY who evaluates your title. You can give a try

What will happen if i get RRA for my final year project in BITS WILP?.I prepared the final report in O365 security and submited the final ppt for outlook SPAM analysis automation.Ao the professir rejected my project because if the difference in report and ppt and recommended RRA grade.
1. Will they allow me to do the project again?
2.Or Should i need to repay the exam fees for the 4th sem again?
3. Is this grade affect my degree?
Please help me to know how i can proceed this. I am really worried about this sir
They will allow us to redo the entire project.

1. Can we use our personal laptop for doing the dissertation with the software installed on our machine/cloud-based personal account? Or otherwise, is it mandatory to use Company's laptop/corporate account to do the dissertation?
2. Will HR be involved anywhere post-dissertation work while achieving the degree or is it only the Mentor who will be involved during the dissertation process?
1. We can use our personal laptop. No restrictions on this.
2. There will be no involvement of Hr in dissertation process.

Sorry I would definitely not suggest a course it’s upto your choice. Just go with what you are interested in just browse through the subjects you will get a clear understanding.
Don’t stress too much just choose a course inline with your current work.
If I give my manager as mentor and started this course. Then I moved to another company what happens ??? For project dissertation whether can I give my old company manager as mentor?
Usually people will change their Mentor when they switch companies so it’s a easy process which can be done anytime.
My personal advice is to select a mentor who is friendly to you to score high marks during evaluations.

Can we designate Mentor as Supervisor and some other qualified person from outside the organisation as additional examiner??
Yes Vivesh possibilities are there. BITS PILANI is now flexible when it comes to allocation of Mentor and External Examiner. Please proceed as per your requirement.
Hey, At the end of the project, during VIVA ( after final report submission ), do we face any external staff during the video call to ask us questions on the spot / to evaluate our work other than the the BITS mentor assigned to us ? totally how many staffs will be present during the viva video call ?
Yes you will be facing an examiner from BITS for the final VIVA before that you will have alignment with your mentor. Simple as that

Hello Vivesh it’s nice to hear from you. You can ask any of your Seniors to apply as Supervisor and BITS PILANI is flexible when it comes to accepting their qualification.

Getting a mentor relevant to AI&ML not must BITS PILANI knows that is tough!
Regarding choosing of mentor select one either from inside or outside of the organization who has 5-8 years experience on your current area of work

For final semester project is it compulsory to have a supervisor and additional examiner from within the organization? If i dont get both of them then what is the procedure?
Supervisor and Additional examiners are MUST, try to catch any of your seniors who are friendly. They can be within or outside your organisation
Do you know which software did they using for plagiarism check??
BITS PILANI developed their own tool for plagiarism check.
Plenty of similar tools available online make sure you scan your report in 2-3 tools before submitting

Yes you can..but the subject of approval is completely based on the professors mindset
Actually I'm doing an internship for a company.. this company providing mtech degree courses . This is my last semester we need to submit a dissertation project. And the faculty told us to do a project in any technology.
Understood the decision is with you on what technology you gonna focus.
Sir I have applied for WILP data science.. They accepted my application and last week I paid the fee for first semester. Then send me Student ID.. After thatvi have not received any communication from them. I have not received the bits email address and login credentials to use online platform. Normally hows flow of events? .. How many days it may take to get these details? 🤔
You will surely get your credentials it will take mostly 15-20 days. No worries
Hi, I had a question. If someone has internals in their mid 30s to nearing 40s after quizzes, assignment and EC2. Will it be possible for that candidate to pass the papers?
That’s a good score definitely they’ll pass. Try to score full marks in QUIZ & ASSIGNMENTS. For Mid-sem closed book getting a score about 25 is safer
Hi Prashant, if for some reason the total score for a candidate in one or more subjects is below 40 after EC2 and EC3 is the candidate in danger of failing?
I’ve never seen anyone failing throughout my course if they score full marks in Quiz and Assignments. I would suggest this approach to be on safer side

Yes that’s for sure all your batch mates will be inside a WhatsApp group with no lecturers
I'm a computer science graduate and I'm interested in M Tech in Software Systems. Being a married women and having higher responsibilities in the job, I fall in a dilemma whether to take it up or not. Could you please rate the difficulty level of this course ? And I dont have confidence in choosing a mentor or supervisor for the project since i dont have any one with Masters in my current company's team. And do we need any prrmission from the employer before taking an admission ? Could you plz reply. Thanks in advance
Difficulty level is MODERATE so you will just start and go with the flow. Batch mates will be connected on WhatsApp and they might help you during quiz and assignments.
Choose a mentor who is your close friend and just ensure he completed Masters. He can also be outside your organisation!
Permission from your current employer is must and acceptance on company letter head is mandatory for enrolling the WILP courses

Mentor can be a candidate with Masters degree in any relevant field.
Now It's Take 4years To complete M.tech Course
Never Hemanth if it’s a BTech course then it might be 4 years and for MTech mostly they are 2 years.

Definitely not Wipro might have changed the course duration. BITS PILANI WILP website contains all info MTech course is only 2 years.
After giving viva, I waited for two days. So I dropped a email to my evaluator about the viva feedback. He replied me back saying that "Examiner feedback is reviewed by the examination committee and then it is declared to the student. So please wait until December end."
However, for other students the feedback is available. Can you please tell me is there any issue with my presentation.

I got fair in both abstract and mid sem report. Also, plagiarism report result is only 7%. In viva, I was little bit confused while giving one answer.
Generally they won’t fail how much CGPA are you having till date. Fair is better than poor so no worries

If we got poor rating in final semester mid sem report ,then will consider fail
Only AVERAGE / GOOD / EXCELLENT ratings are there. So no chance of getting failed

Hi Vignesh BITS PILANI will accept your course application only if it is inclined with your area of current work.
You cannot apply for Software courses being a mechanical engineer.
If your current role needs it they might approve if you are doing coding related task in a mechanical company.
Therefore think and select the right course!

So i would like to switch my career at the beginning..
But my work is opposite to the course so Im little bit confused about dissertation..
Definitely just select a course inline with your current work or else everything will be tough

Either way you can do Saravanan.
At the end you only have to attach your results to the ppt and report. If the data is confidential you can mention it the professor will understand!

What would the minimum eligibility for wilp MTech program ?
60% aggregate marks and 1-2 years of working experience. Just Google for BITS PILANI WILP eligibility criteria you will get the direct link
How many semesters can we drop in BITS if there are any unforeseen situations ?
You can’t drop any semesters because you will be given two options in one/two weeks gap like REGULAR/MAKEUP since we are working professionals!
If both are skipped then you have to pay the semester fees again and redo the missed subjects. One semester can hold only 4 subjects.
I am getting poor in dissertation. Does that mean, i will fail in wilp bits last sem?
Might be asked to carry out a new topic.. if performance continues until mid semester

Definitely yes…. just check their eligibility criteria and secondly if the course is relevant to current working role then you will be selected for sure.

Hi Bharath They will provide some set of common and current trend topics.
If your planned project doesn't comes under those topics...you can explain them by saying the important of your topic and your company benefits from that topic!

Yes. If you have your own topic which would be beneficial to your company and relevant to any of the subjects learnt that would also be accepted

If it’s a Masters program surely it’s a 2 year course and Bachelors it’s a 4 year period. Please have a look in the BITS PILANI WILP website I don’t think so it will vary for WIPRO

Never Sumalatha. It will only boost your profile for higher job opportunities and the main plus in WILP program is that you will gain work experience in parallel which is an added advantage.
BITS PILANI is worldwide recognised so no worries and next thing is you can apply this degree as a REGULAR one in all job application portals since no where in the degree it will be mentioned as WILP. This is an advantage for sure

You can source from outside and it also depends on from where you took the project is it within the organisation or not. If external project then you can do it.

Mostly failing will not happen. Only the grades are given POOR AVERAGE GOOD EXCELLENT

If subjects are due for the candidate they will not be allowed for dissertation. 5.5CGPA is must to enter to the next stage Dissertation

No…either a Masters Degree or a Mentor/Supervisor will higher work experiences (7-8years) is accepted.
Do we get any graduation ceremony for Wilp students?
Only for the toppers above 9.0 CGPA

Allowed ones are Text books, Reference books, Lecture slides-spiral binded one and loose papers are not allowed.
Mobiles not allowed so soft copy verification not possible.

Small corrections mobile phones are allowed for online exams when taken from home but restricted when opted for examination option.
