When we are stressed we breathe shallowly. Why? It is the opposite of what the body needs. My theory: the body says “Pay attention to your breath”. That is meditation. Meditation reduces stress and....increases energy, chi. Increased chi leads to increased wellness and understanding. In other words spiritual growth.

I love it. I plan to buy this book today. The yogic science of breathing has been around for thousands of years. It works. Believe it. Just try taking 5 deep cleansing breaths for relaxation. I struggle with sinus problems so this is near and dear to my heart. Thank you

There no way to measure 5.5 seconds. I can measure 5 seconds but how do you measure the .5 after the five seconds? Nestor didn’t give us the best technique to breathe when talking, I guess that’s why I am going to have to get that book. Thanks

You can measure fractions of a second with a stopwatch or on a mobile phone

Pilates, Yoga, and Transformational Breathing all excellent ways to to discover and improve breathing with movement. Massage, NKT and myofascial work to help you release the diaphragm to improve the breath., as well as other accessory breathing muscles.

Oh wow. breathing properly can improve health? What? That has to be crazytalk. Next you will tell me eating right, drinking water and exercising will be beneficial. By the way, fast food consumption by kids has risen since 2011, but wear your mask because were concerned about your health.
