disabling the Update Service only works for a few days (up to a week). Check back in a week or so and it will be changed back to Manual. Microsoft has more control over your PC than you think!!
I have had to reinstall a Windows 10 OS for a customer, who suffered from a Windows 10 Home update that did not allow them to get back to their PC operations (yes, loss of Data). I have home edition and I constantly have to disable and stop "windows update" in the services. However whenever I turn off my computer it turns itself back on. I think its due to the "windows update medic service". Is there a trick to disabling that as well so it will truely not turn back on?
This does not permanent disable updates. It goes right back to updates a couple weeks later. Not only that but now in the service task manager windows updates has been removed from the the service page.

Exactly in two weeks microsoft has changed back to manual now!
And after 1 month option not open and you can't cange it to disable

On Windows 10 Pro for Workstations, Windows Update is OFF by default.

If u do task bar thingy u won't be able to install stuff from Microsoft store
