To all you "big brains" out there saying it should be "Gokhan" or "Gokan" you should really study Japanese (like I spent two years of my life doing) before commenting. The name Goku is made of TWO characters Go + Ku - not four like English. You can't use the "K" without "U" because the are attached. Same goes for Gohan whose name is 5 characters Go + Ha + N. The "N" sound is the only consonant NOT attached to any vowels, meaning the "A" can't be used without the "H". So what does that leave us with? Go + Ku + Ha + N = Gokuhan! (I almost added a section for this at the end of the video and now I really wish I did lol)

Gohan was effortlessly stronger than even SSJ3, while Vegeta's max was only SSJ2. To me it would seem like their power difference alone more than makes up for the rivalry boost, making it hard to believe Vegito would've been above or equal to Gohkan.

I would actually have to disagree I would say that Goku Gohan would be far more powerful than Goku and Vegeta fusion because Goku and gohan trained in the room of spirit and time so they both know the same flighting style so I would say it would be more like merged zamasu and Goku black they would know how to fight to a better advantage

Goku at ssj3 fought fat buu and he even said he could have beaten fat buu but the ssj3 stamina drain was too much for him in that state(N.B. goku had to go ssj3 to fight buu). Super buu who was obviously stronger than fat buu, fought gotenks who was stronger. After super buu absorbed gotenks AND piccolo, gohan was not only able to fight him, but go toe to toe with him for the beginning of the fight. To simplify the explanation, if ssj3 goku was to fight buu+piccolo he would lose. And vegeta was even weaker than goku. Rivalry boost sounds like crap to me.

Kakkarot Black & Zamasu fused is powerful but the thing is it’s just an A x B thing still as opposed to A x B x with Rival-Boost. Even Kakkarot Blue in the anime manage to land a kick on Fised Zamasu, in just Kaio-Ken, not x by 3-10, just a x2 power-boost. I believe in the manga Kakkarot in mastered Blue was keeping up with Fused Zamasu (I think). Also I believe Zamasu may be near SSjGrade5 Kakkarot or weaker while Kakkarot Black was above Super Sayia-Jin 3 Kakkarot. Kefla is also just an A x B like most of the other Fusions. Again Rival-Boost is both pushing each-other making them stronger which pushes the Fusion to be stronger. There’s no Family-Boost it doesn’t exactly push each-other like Rival’s due, it’s more of a fun relationship between family and same with friend-ship, they don’t push each-other, it’s more of a caring relationship pr companionship. If it was competeitve (misspelling) then it’d be a rivalry just like with Kakkarot & Vegeta so they’d out-do each-other in a compitionion (another misspelling) so there. Even in the manga, Vegerot/Vegetto mopped the floor with Fused Zamasu and blasted his arm in Base by surprise. Great storytelling man. Was really captivated, was imagining the whole thing playing out in my head. As much as I enjoyed your alternate storyline, it made me appreciate the main storyline even more - it gave us the weird kid Buu, the strangeness of fat Buu being expelled and fighting for good, and Uub of course. And I for one am glad Vegeta got his life back and was able to continue living, he deserved that given his final act. Thanks for the video!
I don't believe the rival boost myself. Couldn't the Elder Kai's comment be referring to how their rivalry pushed themselves to become so strong? Without that rivalry, they wouldn't have trained so hard, making them individually weaker, and thus making a weaker fusion? I feel he was more referring to that. Other mentions of their rivalry don't really give any sings of strength. A lot of them imply they are talking about a personality clash and how he might behave rather than explain a boost

I do believe A Goku and Gohan fusion would be at least equal to Vegito because I think that there would be a father son compatibility in the fusion, but still a great video as always!
The only problem I have with Vegetto being stronger, is that the Boo arc itself shows us there's a boost in both Fusions, not just person times person. Also Elder Kaioshin talks about the Rival Boost as more of an icing on the cake more than anything else. I also find it hard to buy the Rival Boost makes up for Ultimate Gohan. Especially if you want to break down Ultimate Gohan's power into Base and Super Saiyajin forms. Pre Room of Spirit and Time SSJ Gotenks is at least equal to SSJ3 Goku, and Post ROSAT Base Gotenks is at least x 1.5 Pre SSJ Gotenks, and if we're putting Gohan's power into regular SSJ3 forms, This Base Gohan is also at least x 1.5 Gotents. When we see Vegetto stomp Ultimate Boo, you can see he's not even using his full power, this does fit nicely with most of the community putting Base Vegetto at Ultimate Gohan's power. This means a boost that's talked about as something that "doesn't hurt" which implies that it isn't something huge has to make up for the following... x 50, x 2, x 4, x 1.5, x 50, x 2, x 4, x 1.5 and that's low-balling it. Which means something that's referred to as something that "doesn't hurt" would have to at the very least be Times 360,000. If the Rival Boost was that massive, then Elder Kaioshin and Kibitoshin would've been going on about that, instead of talking about it as more of an afterthought.
Still want to see a series to this. The new generation could be so much more determined to getting stronger and fighting. It's be great to see them motivate each other.
What if everyone went super saiyan when it made sense? Goku- krillin died dragonball. Gohan- piccolo died saiyan saga. Vegeta- finding out frieza destroyed planet vegeta.

I feel like the rival boost isn’t really that big of a thing now that we have Kefla and merged zamasu proving that having a close relationship with your fusion partner ,or literally being your own partner gives you a significant more power boost . Kefla was able to go toe to toe with ultra instinct omen goku . So I feel Gokhan or Ganku would be stronger than vegito
I'm glad most coments are adressing the "rival-boost" stuff, because it's non-sense. At best what Elder kai is saying is that: They know each other's fighting styles very well so they will be able to drown out all the power Vegito can output. At worse it just means they have been pushing each other's to the most of their abilities: But lets expand to something even further. Goku DOES NOT consider Vegeta his rival. Yes Vegeta considers Goku his rival. But not once in the original cannon does Goku consider Vegeta his rival. He's like Piccolo in his eyes a friend. He dismisses Vegeta multiples times after getting a power up during the Cell Saga, and during the Freeza saga, Goku is basically outclassing me for the whole thing. It's something really easy to miss the original cannon, especially since Dragon Ball Super is the Goku/Vegeta show. Goku doesn't even fight him full force during the Buu Saga. Yes there's a reason why he does that, but you would think with Goku's obsession for fighting if he truly considered Vegeta a rival he would have gone SSJ3 during their fight. Now you can argue that "rival-boost" CAN be a one-sided thing. However by this logic a Goku-Piccolo fusion would fall under this logic of "rival-boost" as well. Furthermore, Gohan is so unbelievably stronger than Goku and Vegeta at the end of the Cell Saga, to the point Vegeta focuses more on surpassing Gohan, which is why he gets so frustated that Gohan is wasting his potential, but this rival-boost "logic" Goku and Vegeta are also Gohan's rivals, since for a good part of those 7 years spent training are focused on surpassing Gohan. This is the perfect example of Dragon Ball fans over-analyzing everything, when what Toriyama means is fairly surface level. I hate that all this stems from the "Goku and Vegeta see eachother as rivals", which when you consider Super and Super related movies might be true. But a lot of these ideas are easy pandering for the fans that always wanted that rivalry. Go rewatch the entirety of DBZ and tell me Goku considers Vegeta a rival.
If there's a rivalry boost, it stands to reason that there would also be a father and son boost, therefore making it a stronger fusion. Plus, you also have the human/saiyan hybrid boost to consider aswell.

Literally watching buu arc right now goku and vegeta just got absorbed by buu, lost their fusion, and your video popped up lol. Cool concept always wondered what the outcome would have been
I personally think the bond between father and son would be far greater than rivals. Gohan lacked the warrior spirit his father had, but he had the brains, combat skills and potential that his father didn't have. Gohan would have tamed Goku and Goku would have given confidence to Gohan. Vegeta's complex personality always lead to Vegito being to aggressive, cocky and violent. Gogeta on the other hand was much more like "Goku" and more calm, direct and focused. Gohan fusing with Goku would have been the strongest possible outcome and it would have been one of the greatest things we could ever have seen.
I think Gokhan would be stronger than Vegeto. I say this because of what we've learned of potara fusion in DBS. If we focus on fused Zemasu specifically during his fight with Goku Blue. During that fight Goku hit fused Zemasu with a full powered Kamehameha which made him turn into his half corrupt form. (Half purple fused Zemasu.) This is because the Zemasu half of fused Zemasu is immortal while the Goku Black half was still mortal. Now if we apply this to Goku and Gohan fusing Gohan had his max potential unlocked Goku did not. So we know that Gohan had 100% of his potential unlocked while Goku had 0% of his potential unlocked. So Gokhan in this instance would have access to 50% of his maximum potential on top of fusion multiplier. In other words Gokhan,s power would be Goku X Gohan + 50% of how strong he could possibly get at that time if Goku also had his potential unlocked.
The “rival boost” was filler bullshit to make fans believe we were getting the best fusion possible. It’s mindless and makes no sense. Gohan was so much stronger than Vegeta that any “boost” was negligible.

I don't believe the rival boost myself. Couldn't the Elder Kai's comment be referring to how their rivalry pushed themselves to become so strong? Without that rivalry, they wouldn't have trained so hard, making them individually weaker, and thus making a weaker fusion? I feel he was more referring to that.
Other mentions of their rivalry don't really give any sings of strength. A lot of them imply they are talking about a personality clash and how he might behave rather than explain a boost

The only problem I have with Vegetto being stronger, is that the Boo arc itself shows us there's a boost in both Fusions, not just person times person. Also Elder Kaioshin talks about the Rival Boost as more of an icing on the cake more than anything else. I also find it hard to buy the Rival Boost makes up for Ultimate Gohan. Especially if you want to break down Ultimate Gohan's power into Base and Super Saiyajin forms. Pre Room of Spirit and Time SSJ Gotenks is at least equal to SSJ3 Goku, and Post ROSAT Base Gotenks is at least x 1.5 Pre SSJ Gotenks, and if we're putting Gohan's power into regular SSJ3 forms, This Base Gohan is also at least x 1.5 Gotents. When we see Vegetto stomp Ultimate Boo, you can see he's not even using his full power, this does fit nicely with most of the community putting Base Vegetto at Ultimate Gohan's power. This means a boost that's talked about as something that "doesn't hurt" which implies that it isn't something huge has to make up for the following...
x 50, x 2, x 4, x 1.5, x 50, x 2, x 4, x 1.5 and that's low-balling it. Which means something that's referred to as something that "doesn't hurt" would have to at the very least be Times 360,000.
If the Rival Boost was that massive, then Elder Kaioshin and Kibitoshin would've been going on about that, instead of talking about it as more of an afterthought.

I always interpreted the rival boost as just a reflection of overall synergy be it rivals or family.
What if the rival boost is just Goku and Vegeta both powering up trying to be the best contributor to the fusion?

Gohan- piccolo died saiyan saga.
Vegeta- finding out frieza destroyed planet vegeta.

I feel like the rival boost isn’t really that big of a thing now that we have Kefla and merged zamasu proving that having a close relationship with your fusion partner ,or literally being your own partner gives you a significant more power boost . Kefla was able to go toe to toe with ultra instinct omen goku . So I feel Gokhan or Ganku would be stronger than vegito

I'm glad most coments are adressing the "rival-boost" stuff, because it's non-sense. At best what Elder kai is saying is that: They know each other's fighting styles very well so they will be able to drown out all the power Vegito can output. At worse it just means they have been pushing each other's to the most of their abilities:
But lets expand to something even further. Goku DOES NOT consider Vegeta his rival. Yes Vegeta considers Goku his rival. But not once in the original cannon does Goku consider Vegeta his rival. He's like Piccolo in his eyes a friend. He dismisses Vegeta multiples times after getting a power up during the Cell Saga, and during the Freeza saga, Goku is basically outclassing me for the whole thing. It's something really easy to miss the original cannon, especially since Dragon Ball Super is the Goku/Vegeta show. Goku doesn't even fight him full force during the Buu Saga. Yes there's a reason why he does that, but you would think with Goku's obsession for fighting if he truly considered Vegeta a rival he would have gone SSJ3 during their fight. Now you can argue that "rival-boost" CAN be a one-sided thing. However by this logic a Goku-Piccolo fusion would fall under this logic of "rival-boost" as well. Furthermore, Gohan is so unbelievably stronger than Goku and Vegeta at the end of the Cell Saga, to the point Vegeta focuses more on surpassing Gohan, which is why he gets so frustated that Gohan is wasting his potential, but this rival-boost "logic" Goku and Vegeta are also Gohan's rivals, since for a good part of those 7 years spent training are focused on surpassing Gohan.
This is the perfect example of Dragon Ball fans over-analyzing everything, when what Toriyama means is fairly surface level.
I hate that all this stems from the "Goku and Vegeta see eachother as rivals", which when you consider Super and Super related movies might be true. But a lot of these ideas are easy pandering for the fans that always wanted that rivalry. Go rewatch the entirety of DBZ and tell me Goku considers Vegeta a rival.

If there's a rivalry boost, it stands to reason that there would also be a father and son boost, therefore making it a stronger fusion. Plus, you also have the human/saiyan hybrid boost to consider aswell.

I personally think the bond between father and son would be far greater than rivals.
Gohan lacked the warrior spirit his father had, but he had the brains, combat skills and potential that his father didn't have.
Gohan would have tamed Goku and Goku would have given confidence to Gohan.
Vegeta's complex personality always lead to Vegito being to aggressive, cocky and violent. Gogeta on the other hand was much more like "Goku" and more calm, direct and focused.
Gohan fusing with Goku would have been the strongest possible outcome and it would have been one of the greatest things we could ever have seen.
I think Gokhan would be stronger than Vegeto. I say this because of what we've learned of potara fusion in DBS. If we focus on fused Zemasu specifically during his fight with Goku Blue. During that fight Goku hit fused Zemasu with a full powered Kamehameha which made him turn into his half corrupt form. (Half purple fused Zemasu.) This is because the Zemasu half of fused Zemasu is immortal while the Goku Black half was still mortal. Now if we apply this to Goku and Gohan fusing Gohan had his max potential unlocked Goku did not. So we know that Gohan had 100% of his potential unlocked while Goku had 0% of his potential unlocked. So Gokhan in this instance would have access to 50% of his maximum potential on top of fusion multiplier. In other words Gokhan,s power would be Goku X Gohan + 50% of how strong he could possibly get at that time if Goku also had his potential unlocked.

It’s funny how you often hear people say Vegeta doesn’t get respected because he’s often considered weaker. And the times when his presence is respected by saying fusion with Vegeta would be stronger than fusion with Gohan cus certain plot reasoning, people don’t like the idea.
