Hey Kris, I gave you a shoutout about your bush hook / gripper thing in my live feed last night. That looks pretty cool. I don't know if you sell those things or not, but that looks pretty cool. Thanks for the mention in the video buddy, and welcome to all the folks from Muddy River Catfishing that stopped by my channel. If you watch long enough you will see me give Kris a hard time about them rattlesnakes he dodges out there....LOL!!
Awesome fishing! I've lived in El Paso all my life, always spent the summers looking for reptiles. Kids got into fishing a few months ago and we've been at the river 3 or 4 nights a week and have yet to catch anything! The way you treat the environment and animals within it puts a smile on my face, you're an awesome person.
thank you Chris! Keep trying. Those big ones are out there. I have videos that explain where to find catfish on smaller rivers like the Rio Grande. Good luck!
Thanks for the reply that makes good sense on how the fish stack up. Here in AZ next door to you all our fishing is done at reservoirs. I will give this bobber set up a try and target suspended flatheads. Thanks again for another insightful video.
MY FAVORITE FISHING CHANNEL! Mainly because I feel like Dryw and yourself are so down to earth and you do a lot with a little. I can relate to you guys' style. I seem to miss a lot of fish close to the bank or while dragging them in. Can you please do an in depth video on basic fundamentals from recognizing a bite to scooping the fish out with a net. THANKS
Good catch around the 8:00 time.....but your reel sounds like it's hurting according to the drag sounds...I could be wrong...Good Catch....Thanks for the vid.
It's all good I've been fishing for 30+ years here on the west coast and I know when a reel sounds like it's hurting.....spinning reels have advanced greatly the last 10yrs. ,but still need a lot more maintenance since the frame body is not as protected as the conventional reels. If you are paying $30 for a spinning reel you will be going through 3 of them before a single conventional reel reaches its questionability. Get Avet SX Models...according to the fishing based upon what you do do...it will never be a problem ....Thanks Again
wow bad wind but if it's hot that's a great sound lol. hope all's good keep catching them big ones love your channel hope one day I get to see you and shake your hand for all your nice comments and kindness to me and others. thanks for this vidoe god bless.

Nice job for sure how about an in depth video on the bobber rig. How, when. why and the type of rig. I've normally fished for flathead on or near the bottom now I see that may not be the best way. Thanks for another awesome video
Here in New Mexico, the water to the river is shut off during the winter. As the water slowly dries up, it creates holes where the fish are trapped. The water becomes clear because it is no longer moving and stirring up the sand and clay bottom. It's this time of year that I like to put on goggles and go swim in these holes. One thing I saw while I was swimming under a fallen tree was a school of flathead catfish nestled in the branches. The hole was about 6ft deep, but the flatheads were stacked at various depths, some just inches below the surface. This made me realize that the fish aren't just on the bottom. They can be anywhere in the water column. Since I started using the bobber, I can target these flatheads at the different depths.
I don't know Kris..Drew might be right..It has the same hump on the head...Looks like a twin to me....Yes I subscribe to Dieter he is a good dude for sure...I might have to go fishing with him in the near future he is not that far away from me...
Purchase at the XL Muddy River catfish bobber was curious if it would stay afloat with a 10 oz egg weight. Use it for Oz egg weight sticker on the water type fish and it drifted around more than I like
Use a pop bottle of the appropriate size for what you need to float. I like using the 8oz. Mini bottles. Run a ring eye screw through the top of the bottle and throw a light stick inside for night fishing. Works great and is very cheap. Toy can add water to bottle for less bouncy or more weight to toss it further. I usually drift them or troll them myself but I have caught a few blues and flats casting them as well.
When you use these bobbers in current dont they swerve to the banks? And if not when its out there and you have your bell close once the lines gets tight from the current wouldn't the bait come towards the top of the water? Deciding to buy these or not thanks bud
When fishing current I like to float these bobbers right up against a log jam or brush pile. Depending on how fast the current is, I'll use 3 ounces of lead or more to keep the bait from floating to the surface. If you are bank fishing look for fallen trees or eddies.
Nice kris keep it up sir. I have a request for you kindly made some carp fishing videos, some snakehead fishing videos and some lure fishing videos and tech us how to made lures at home... Thank you for making these great videos for us i always likes you videos... ☺☺💙💙💙👍👍👍

I haven't caught a catfish in so long, I think I forgot what it feels like to catch a hawg cat. I had been living in Wyoming for the past 4 years and all I could catch regular was trout and yellow perch. I am back in Texas now so l think I will hit up lake Texoma this weekend and see if the Blue cats are biting. Great video.
Hay i think u should get little. Ear rings set. pierce the lip or the fin From a dollar store so u know if u cought the fish more then once. then u can do some study on them like size and wight too for your channel.
