@@AnglingUploaded I know right 😅 yes sir nothing like it I can't wait to get home moving back after 28 years headed back to my hometown be with my father and family I live around lake Okeechobee so you already know good fishing fish everywhere and my dream fish we have it down there now that peacock bass I want one bad once I get settled in I got to get on that water
I started out fishing small streams just like that , and , the simple hook , split shot and float rig is still a favorite , even on big water . If I am fishing deeper than 3-4' I use a slip float , but , this basic rig scales very well and is very versatile . One creek in particular was an absolute gem , you NEVER knew what you would catch on any given cast . You had small mouth and large mouth bass , rainbow trout , a dozen species of sun fish , channel and blue cat also . And every one would knock the living shite out of anything it encountered , live bait or artificial . Low water can be a challenge, but , one suggestion is to find a stretch of creek where cattle have access to the water . In these scenarios , fish quickly become accustomed to disturbances in the water , especially since it stirs up the bottom and it will cause a feeding frenzy . I have used this tactic many times with great success . The minnows in this creek were even voracious . If you stood still they would try to nibble the hairs on your leg . I often took new people here swimming , fishing or canoeing, and would usually set them up by talking about the couple of piranha caught there in the last couple of days . Pretty soon , one of the newbs would let out a blood curdling scream and do their Jesus impression , some of which were fairly convincing except for the words they were using .
Bobbers are often over looked for catfishing. I love using slip bobbers so I can find the strike zone quickly and use any current to my advantage. Cool video and great job with the editing as well.
My NuCanoe Frontier 12 was around $1,200, if I remember correctly. This video will give you the full rundown on my setup: ruclips.net/video/fPRJQfEvWdk/видео.html
I met Mick Thill once when he was still alive. He got ripped off pretty good to get his name put on bobbers. He used floats like porcupine quills for fishing
Thanks, Pete. I like using a bobber with a spring in shallow situations because it’s easy to take the bobber off and bottom fish. Bobber fishing can be a great option for presenting a bait through a wider area where fish could be scattered as opposed to packed into a tight snag.
I hear ya, brother. Under normal circumstances, that wood would be on fire, but we’ve been in a drought for two summers and there’s just not enough water to hold ‘em.
only true Christians in america know these techniques to get fish on worms and thills, i been using this method for years and caught my personal best bass at 7 pounds

Bobber fishing is how a lot of us got started fishing. I still feel like a kid whenever I see that bobber start to quiver.

I still bobber fish for catfish! You just have to set the bait a lot lower so it is closer to the bottom.

I’m pretty lucky. Fishing gas stations are the norm in these parts.
Common in the South.
Nice video Greg. Never used bobbers for catfish. Guessing this is mostly for shallow water catfishing?
