with this unit SM’s goal wasn’t to put the most popular members of their groups but the most versatile and talented, with no disrespect for other members of ggs who aren’t in GOT the beat, but this particular unit is based on intense performances and vocals and it’s very obvious why all of these members were chosen. If GOT the beat wasn’t a project group and was considered a regular group they’d be the most vocally powerful group out there with Boa, Taeyeon and Wendy, also Boa Hyo and Seulgi are one of the best dancers in the industry so if the think about it this group is for the mains of their own groups
Yeah, got the beat is quite strong, step back charted well and got nominated on Golden disc award even when SM didn't give them an actual MV or proper promotion
very right about all the work outside of the group. BoA probably having the most: She had like 6 performances at this Event, Writing her new songs, her new album, her new vid for Forgive Me, the choreo, doing Time after Time, Stamp on it, Get back, Better, touring, etc. etc. etc...
We actually see her forget a small part of this choreo near the end. Which NEVER happens with BoA (and regularly does way harder dancing/choreo than this). But you can tell that's a schedule problem. When you're at the level she is at now there's just so many things on her plate. And she tends to have more choreo/vocals to do in this group already as well

by the way, about the controversy, Irene is only human. The stylist had literally been giving red velvet super uncomfortable clothes for so many years, and that day the outfit she gave Irene was literally shocking/electrocuting her on stage! Of course, Irene had every right to express how upset she was, so she screamed at the stylist and the stylist literally instead of doing better as NEEDED, went and tried to ruin Irene's career by posting about it to ruin her image. Irene's literally the nicest person ever, she even cooked and delivered lunch boxes once to nct while they were performing! No one ever talks about anything nice she's done though/praises her for being nice, they only want to blame her for a very human reaction to pure frustration built up for YEARS. Please place human standards on idols, and don't expect them to be some superhuman that never has any complaints. Maybe she shouldn't have yelled at the stylist, but it was a very understandable reaction that deserves much less blame than she got. Please clarify to the rest of the panel about the image of Irene you've portrayed to them, thank you.

This stage video is part of SMCU PALACE online concert. They will have a MUSIC VIDEO and a MINI ALBUM which will be release on the 16th of January 2023 😊. They also have the schedule of releasing the teaser photos, it’s already started.

7:00 I like that point. They have more of an appeal than SuperM imo. SuperM doesn't have 1st generation in their group. They could've easily added UKnow, Eunhyuk or Donghae from Super Junior.
Yeah I’m a major SuperM fan but GOT seems to have more potential for cohesive music as far as sound and production

There is the mini album (5 or 6 songs, I think) which was also how SuperM launched. I think if not for the Step Back controversy they'd be on a full album by this point as well.
The point with the comparison between GOT and SuperM and why/how members were chosen is interesting but misaligned. The goal of the groups are completely different. SuperM was specifically put together with an emphasis on making inroads in the west in partnership with a US record label's input where GOT is (for now and in this iteration) not concerned with ir hampered by that. Just a true cross generational all-around stacked GG.
Also, with the exception of Lucas with his popularity having been his main calling card, both GOT and SuperM were put together on cohesion and talent (particularly a HIGH dance priority with a well recognised skill position ie vocals, rap). Definitely not popularity in their groups. If popularity was the main reason for inclusion, Irene would deffo be in as well as different Exo, NCT and Girls Generation members (if Taeyeon and Hyo weren't the only ones still at SM).

Irene is not the best in dancing nor singing so not chosen. This is a super girl group. Wendy is chosen for her great vocal & Seulgi for her dancing & vocal. Same goes to Taeyeon (Vocal) & Hyoyeon (dancing & Rap). Karina (dancing & rap) & Winter (Vocal). SuperM is chosen the same way. Each member is chosen based on their skills ...not popularity.
