But the song itself is about a girl who is trying to get between a couple's relationship (a homewrecker). And while the lyrics themselves are not problematic, because there's nothing wrong with a woman telling another girl to back off from her relationship (since the lyrics say that both the guy and his girlfriend don't like what this girl is doing), it sparked some anger that SM would give them these kinds of lyrics in the first place, which are ambiguous, versus playing into their concept and playing something safe.
When I saw the name "Girls on Top" I assumed it was talking about the members only. Like they were handpicked among the rest of their members from their respective groups.

I think Stamp On It is very cool...I dug it from the first time I heard it. The whole thing is a vibe. Music doesn't have to 'follow the rules'...though sometimes switchups can get messy, but SM seems to get it right, from what I've heard.

It's like your first time hearing kpop guys. Kpop is like that, maybe you both entered this world with the well-known popular group that I'm not going to mention because I don't like them at all, but as a fan since 2011, this is what we kpop fans love about the genre. Surprising music, songs within songs, creativity: KPOP. Not western music sung in Korean.

yeah, I agree with you. for me I didn't enjoy SOI because the arrangement was a bit out of place? the intro instrument the baby baby part wasn't it. personally I like sticker more SOI because sticker's chorus, bridge and raps were better. sticker's only issue was the flute but now I'm used to it but SOI..there are many parts that sounded kind of out of place. I did enjoy the bsides, rose and alter ego were really good and I prefer them over SOI.

What condemns "Step Back" for me is the god awful instrumental. It's too loud. SM has some of the best singers in the industry but their vocals have to compete with the instrumental. Make it make sense? When Seulgi comes in another sound is added to the instrumental that makes the song torturous to listen to. I actually like "Stamp On It." The girls still have to compete with the instrumental but at least it isn't as crazy as "Step Back."
