Hey y'all!
In this video, I'll show you how I make my delicious, creamy, cheesy potato soup!! It's sooo gooood y'all; best of all it's quick and easy! I know you're gonna like this one...it has BACON AND POTATOES!!🤣😂 Enjoy💋
Here's what you'll need:
*At least 4 large russet potatoes
*At least 1cup of chopped bacon (save some for topping)
*1cup green onions (save some for topping)
*1/2 to 1 stick of butter
*2tbsp of bacon grease drippings
*1cup of finely chopped onions
*2tbsp of minced garlic
*3cups chicken broth
*2cups heavy whipping cream or whole milk
*1cup sour cream
*At least 1cup shredded cheese
*Salt & pepper to taste (I liberally salted the potato water and didn't need additional seasoning)

This is not only the best potatoe soup texture I have ever seen, it it also the most DELICIOUS tasting potatoe soup I have ever had, and considering I'm 61yrs young I had my share of potatoe soups. It was more than enough, I was raised, you eat leftovers, fine with me cause leftovers was just as good if not better after all that flavor blending together. Just watched your video on potato soup . It looks fantastic but this is not a soup. It is considered a potato chowder. Restaurants charge $10 Dollars for a bowl of that with a couple small pieces of bread. You did a great job.

I just made your cheesy pot soup with bacon - oh my goodness as we Texans say! ‘Cept you know I’m in Houston where the Texans make it happen! Your soup cooks up exactly as you demonstrated. I only had two strips of cooked bacon dang it but I chopped up ham and let it broil until edges were crisp and tossed the ham in. Perfection, still. You are my fav new U Tube cook!

When making the sauce, add the most of the liquid to the roux all at once and keep stirring to get a smooth, free of lumps gravy. For me, potato soup could also be called onion soup because I put a lot of onions in it!

So,you don't use S-P or any seasons?? Never cooked b4.
I didn't use any @Vanessa but of course you can salt and pepper to your taste. I liberally salted the water my potatoes were in. When I tested the base after everything was in there it didn't need anything; the taste was perfect.
