@@normajean7332 Yeah. Nearly every body of inland Florida has gators. Everglades are well populated. Still some salt water crocks around Key Largo, FL also.
I think you'll form a good following if you make camping videos. (Kind of like these camper channels popping up) Do 3day-7day trips to beautiful locations and spice it up by showing bushcraft skills and craftsmanship.. but making it comfortable for yourself so its enjoyable, food, cookware, tarp, etc... luxuries haha.
I owned my Grumman 15' canoe for over a decade, and used it infrequently due to the weight/ trouble getting it on my truck roof. I modified an old boat trailer to carry it and started using it all the time 😊 this summer I (finally!) Found a used 10' Sportspal (34#'s?) And now i can load it on my Jeep easily if I don't want to use the trailer.. or throw it in the bed of my truck (that has a topper)
Most people can not afford a Kevlar canoe, roof racks are pretty cheap in comparison. I am sure Les can afford a Thule. I am pricing Nova Crafts right now and experiencing sticker shock. Prices have gone up since I bought my Mohawk 20 years ago ( a tree fell on it this winter.)
I stumbled onto a used sportspal model and color I wanted on facebook market place (S13/olive/57lbs on paper) for $300... very happy with it. Mostly crappie and duck hunting... took it on the sound side at Nags Head without any issues. When he said 30 lbs my jaw dropped.
Les, I love all your videos. But I have to say this one is very disappointing, due to the fact that YOUR EDITOR - camera cut out ALL OF YOUR KNOT TIEING! You describe the knot then your editor cut it out every time. I know this is not your style and you may want a word with those people about what your trying to show and how they are not showing it... I know it's them, not you.
gorgeous canoe. It used to be my dream to canoe camp the Everglades. Then I started reading more about the Everglades. ;-)
So useful! I can't wait for the tie it up part.
Ahhhhh.... memories from 1978 to 1980. Lots of canoe trips on the Myaka River in Florida.
really? do you have gators Robert?

Absolutely, he's earned the 'easy life'. I would pay to see this too.

Cool video Les!
cool Les
*Surviorman* part cracked me loughing good
PERFECT!!!
Foam is better than a rack if you plan on taking any rough roads at all. I actually prefer to load the boat sideways and spin it onto the roof.
Time to tie her up... hell of a cliffhanger Les
Will you be doing more director commentary?
Survivor man. You should go on the show alone next season
That show is staged he doesn’t roll that way
The 100 artic one seemed legit be cool to see how u fair out plus a million dollar prise
What's the specs and make of your canoe?

Man i can't even afford one of those blue barrels, i will be using 5 gallon buckets.
My Kayak stays loaded on my Blazer ready for the next storm when I head to the river and pick up Arrowheads..
I bet nobody has ever tied a canoe to their car and then driven into the ocean except me. It’s like having a v8 on your canoe
The worlds greatest survivor has to rent a canoe from Algonquin outfitters? 😂
Guess he didnt have time too fashion one out of willows and a rain coat
?
🤣
