Westminster did a great job on this one. Looking forward to more collabs with them. Btw, next time it would be nice if the cameraperson pan to the back a bit more to acknowledge the backup vocals and strings. Wish we could have seen more of them. But overall an awesome performance. Thanks for making our days a bit brighter what with horrible pandemic wreaking havoc everywhere.

what is the job of the singer...to sing on pitch? to know all the words? to have stage presence? to have vocal range??..yeah..really good singers have all of that in the tool box...but what separates the good from the great is the ability to communicate..in other words as a listener, I have to be convinced that the singer is telling me something that comes from personal experience, or that they are speaking directly to me...genuine character...Sarah Lloyde just did that on this song...she just showed the difference..When I listen to her sing this song, its as if we had a fight and she is pleading with me to not leave.. let me give you all an example..at 2:35 she is singing and using her hand and sings about a love that is so great and unique that it's hard to find, and are we gonna just let it slip away (like its nothing?)..in this phrase Sarah absolutely convinces me she is speaking from the heart...you can't fake stuff like this, this is true artistry at its finest...this song is an example of stellar singing...world class...since I've been in music for over 40 years I kind of know what I'm talking about too...

From Central California, I have to say, "HSCC is a tight group of vocalists and musicians." I enjoy their musical range of rock, soul and funk. The addition of brass and horns is off the hook and elevates them to a higher level of musical sounds. This addition of is no doubt going to put this band on the face of the musical global map.
I am looking forward to hearing more wonderful tunes from HSCC.

Chicago in its prime was a group of top musicians (and naturally, they're still amazing), but covering Chicago in a way that doesn't make people cringe is very difficult to do. Chicago's performance of this song has countless nuances and fine points of technique, often understated but highly refined. It's very difficult to perform their songs, and only one other cover comes to my mind that truly does it justice and is enjoyable in its own right. This cover is the second, but there's a difference: HSCC has given an opportunity to very talented high-school students to participate, and this is a serious challenge, considering the source material. But this rendition joins the very, very select group of great performances of this song, and it has the added value that HSCC is investing in music education. How fortunate that these young people can work with you. A wonderful performance, a wonderful example.

I’m almost 60 so regrettably my opportunity has long passed, but had a group such as this been known to me when I was younger, I surely would have done anything I could have just to study with them, if not sing with them. However, Wisconsin, USA doesn’t offer much exposure to this type of world, and I was working on raising a family. I’ve already seen most of my favorite artists, but if there was one more group on my bucket list I’d like to see, it would be these guys. I’m just not sure if a trip abroad is doable….lol. HSCC, you ALL are amazing and talented experts from stage, lights, sound, costumes, arrangements, vocals (and who is chosen for each song), instruments, the entire production. I have always been a harsh critic of cover bands, but I have listened to more of your arrangements than I can count (and continue to discover new ones) and can say unequivocally that I haven’t found one yet that I didn’t think was amazing or great. Please keep doing what you do so very well! Thank you!
