  • Immunotherapy for liver cancer can enhance cancer-fighting immune system responses. As director of the Liver Tumor Program at Perlmutter Cancer Center, Dr. Theodore H. Welling, MD, has established a multidisciplinary approach to treating patients who have bile duct cancer, liver cancer, and liver metastases, which is cancer that has spread from the liver to other parts of the body.

My father has hepathocarcinoma, two tumors, and the doctor recommended TACE and immunotherapy concomitantly. Hoping for the best ❤

Immunotherapy is sometimes used as an adjunct to other treatments ie local ablative therapies or TACE so as achieve long term survival and at times as a part of down-staging protocols.

Wish ablative directed therapies were explained better. The explanation was quite vague imho. It seems to be a very important therapy, that was more or less just glossed over.
