That's absolutely fine. You want to use whatever weights feel right for you. My weights were in kilos. And I used a light weight for the shoulder rotation as this tends to be a weaker area in muscle strength for many people and myself. When you use light weights you can always add resistance yourself by resisting the move and feel like you are pressing through mud.
Yes also called Thera-bands. There are are difference strengths. There's usually very light, light, medium, strong, extra strong. For a beginner, start with one of the light ones, as you can always pull it tighter to make it more difficult.

I love this video! But can I ask why you recommend such a light weight for the last move? (before the plank)
I can do it fine with a 5lb dumbbell. Am I doing it wrong? I use 5lbs for the other moves too.
Hi, are there different strengths in these resisiance bands? because I live in Germany and they are calle Thera-bands, there are different strengths. Which strength is the best to use for the beginning? Thanx. Great vid. I really need to work on my posture. (I had a burst disc with some paralysis in one leg :( (my spine is hypermobile)
