  • For half a century, the International Energy Agency had one goal: to make sure its patrons, the world’s richest nations, had uninterrupted access to oil.
Now, it is warning the world to stop developing new oil and gas fields to avoid a catastrophic rise in temperatures.
Despite that warning, Arctic oil and gas production is expected to increase by 20 percent in the next five years. Reclaim Finance's Alix Mazounie explains which banks are backing big oil.
As Asia deepens its dependence on coal, Carbon Tracker's Catharina Hillenbrand von der Neyen discusses what can be done to reverse the trend.

Sometimes it seems as if we are delirious because if you have an electric car, you would have to recharge it one's it run down and you would need electricity to do that, but the question is where will you get the electricity needed to run those electric cars from, will it be nuclear plant, coal plants, gas plants, solar plants or wind plants these are the questions that reasonable people should ask you don't just talk about cleaner energy carbon neutrality this and that without thinking critically because when this policies fails what we see is simply blame games been dished out by people who live in a different planet.

its the unreasonable people who live in their fairytale heads that are loudest in the "fight against climate change". they complain and point fingers but offer no solutions.

There used to be the Amazon rainforest equivalent in North America. Sadly it's gone now owing to the deforestation perpetrated by the early European settlers. Can anyone guess which US state was once a rainforest?🌴

Greenlanders should be trying to figure out how to do the mining safely. Taking an absolutist stance against it is not based in science.
