the fact that she is confident speaking English and even if she thinks she messed up she pushes through, she inspires me and im subscribing so when I am far down my Japanese learning journey I will be happy to say she helped !
This guide is extremely helpful for people who wants to learn Japanese. ありがとう先生! I've been doing almost all of the steps mentioned except for writing (I will definitely work on it). I started speaking Japanese last year because I made a Japanese friend and wanted to be able to communicate with them. Prior to that I already had a lot of input (phrases, vocabulary, expressions) so I can understand simple Japanese but the problem was I couldn't put my thoughts well into words. That made me struggle keeping the flow of conversation. The more you speak the more you will improve and I have to give the credit to my Japanese friends cause they helped me improve a lot and even motivated me to learn how to read and type in japanese. Also, talking to myrself in Japanese helped me practice and get used to saying words so when I speak in a conversation it comes out more naturally. Even the internal voice in my head is in Japanese. Do your best everyone! 僕ももっと上手く話せる様に努力します! 日本語の勉強頑張りましょうー!
I spend hours every day practicing *shadowing* and my favourite podcast for doing this is 'Japanese With Shun'; Shun speaks slow enough for a beginner like me, but I sometimes play the videos at a slower speed. Comprehensible Japanese is another good channel for short videos, and slowly spoken Japanese. I love Ninjapanese too, of course. You're great. 🙏🙏🙏
You listen to what is being said and then try to say the thing they are saying as they say it. Shadowing is very difficult to do in my opinion but very worth it! It helps with pronunciation, and pacing of your speech to sound more comfortable with the language. Its also good because you are repeating the same thing over and over and over so you learn some useful phrases and put them to memory faster@@crazygamingbvr9260
@@crazygamingbvr9260 shadowing is basically listening to someone speak and copying it as close as you can, its supposed to be good for you brain for acquisition of language as well as obviously helping your pronunciation
Finally someone who really breaks it down step by step. Learning hiragana and katakana first will help you in a long way followed by the vocabulary, then the basic grammar sentence structure. Thanks for breaking the video down into different categories! I am interested in the lessons!
Hello, I'm an older person and still learning about internet. I've relized that I have to make an commitment to learn language, so at moment, I'm like just watching and listening. You are doing a fantastic job. You will go along way. Arigato
You are an absolute hero! I've been learning aimlessly for the past 3 weeks. I've listened to childrens songs; I've aimlessly watched N5 videos, as well as shorts and just tried to collate and absorb information from different sources. Sadly, it's not working so well. Hopefully, if I have some sort of structure, it'll stick. Also, the comments below are super helpful! Thank you all!
now i feel motivated to learn japanese, and the cooler part for me is that i can improve my english at the same time with this channel, you'll help me a lot, thank you !!
This is, honestly, an incredibly brilliant idea! Having the path you need to take laid out like this makes it seem not as insurmountable as you first think. 本当にありがとうございます😁!
This is an excellent roadmap! I just finished my first semester of Japanese and I've been trying to motivate myself to self-study before the next semester. This video really helped me set some realistic and achievable goals. Arigatou gozaimasu!
That'll help when you learn Chinese. I have the opposite problem. I learnt some 300 kanji. Now I'm learning hanzi (Chinese characters) I look at them and think the Japanese word.
Hi Ninja, thank you for this introduction video, I searched long time to find a learning chanel like yours. It looks exactly like what I need, so I will start and follow your recommendations, and will give feedback. Really: Thank you so much, Arigato
I see many RUclips to know about japnese and my friend suggested to see your video and now I don't believe you solve my problem so easily and helpful. You are best japnese learning teacher ❤😊 Thanks!
Thank you! I am actually planning to start very soon and I am in the "gathering resources" phase. Your videos will be a massive help. I will definitely check out your lessons.
Working with a lot of Japanese you learn how to say the words and their meaning but not how to read them thank you for the guide. Your English is great by the way way
Sugoi desune!!!!, arigatou gozaimasu! watashiwa gambarimasu, i really appreciate this, this is the way someone have to help us!!, many people just show the lessons but never write a roadmap for people, i really appreciate!
Sensei, first, I Would like to thank you for your remarkable teaching technique . Sensei , if you can , please present a series of irodori videos . It will be a grade help for those who hope to sit for the jft exam. Thomo arigathow gozimasu .. sensei !
I have been studying Japanese for one year. I spent about 30 minutes each day learning Japanese. I found your video is interesting, thank you for sharing.
Hello! I plan to start learning Japanese in March 2024. I have watched several videos about how people learn Japanese on their own, but yours is the most developed. I already purchased a book about Katakana and Hiragana, and my goal for March is to learn those. After that, I was a bit lost. I will definitely use this roadmap. I just hope I don't spend too much time and neglect Spanish!
Sensei: you have made an extraordinary work with the roadmap in pdf and all the links related to the roadmap. You are excellent, congratulations and thanks for your kindness. Dohmoo arigatoo gozaimasu.
Arigatooo 😭🙏❤️❤️ I’m so happy!!! I studied English 6years ago in the Philippines. ( for 6months) Making RUclips video in English made me improve my speaking skill😌🙏💕
Thank you for this. You are right, after I learned hiragana and katakana, I went straight to kanji which makes me feel sleepy. I'll do your roadmap, thank you again!
Great topic! I live in Tokyo right now. I would go parallel. Phrase One: Hiragana + Simple & Easy phrases + Self-introduction, real like Japanese Shopping and 7 eleven. 7-Eleven is a great place to start a conversation. You have to do all this at the same time because each part help each other. Phrase Two: Boost vocabulary, verbs, adjectives, and grammar. I think this is the hardest part.
4:08 I actually started trying to learn the language years ago. Took me about a month or so to master the Kana. Immediately moved on to Kanji as I though that was the "correct" path. It almost instantly killed my hype for the language.
I love how you have laid out this recommended plan. It fits very well with how I've learned over time (mistakes and all!) to teach myself Japanese. Although, since I'm learning alone it is very difficult and I'm not very far yet. But I will persist! Thank you! I will start watching many of your videos and lessons! It is a dream of mine to visit Japan. ☺
I am so happy I found your videos recently, I’m taking this year to improve my Japanese before going to Japan, the plan is to eventually live in Japan for a good while to really immerse myself in the culture.
Cool I'll give it a try. My approach to learning the Japanese language will be a slow to medium pace. The plan is to incorporate it into daily living. One step at a time 😊
I studied Japanese between about 2005 and 2008 with books. Today, with the Internet and youtube it is easier to learn this language. Especially since Japanese is fashionable today, which was not the case 15 years ago
Thank you for all your video Ms. Nin, I have a lot of learnings about Japanese Language.. Now i'm selected & going to work in Japan soon, どぅも ありがとぅ御座いました!
This is super helpful! I already know some Japanese although of course I'm still learning. I will watch the videos mentioned in this video, thank you! ありがとうございます!
Thank you for the roadmap I finished Learning Heragana & Katakana and I lost my motivation to continue because I felt lost. I’m planning to reach JLPT N4 and speak confidently before I go to Japan to study.
You can do it! がんばってください!🤩 Don’t focus on studying too much! Try to find a place you can USE what you’ve learned 😌 so that you can enjoy learning Japanese 🥷❤️🔥
You are incredible educator 💞💞💞 Happy Thanksgiving from MD. You inspire me to learn more since I first studied Japanese in college…25 years back 💞💞💞🙏🙏🙏
this was very very helpful. I mastered hiragana and katakana and made the mistake to already try to learn kanji. I felt kinda lost but after your tips i got motivaded again thank you
Thank you so much for this information! I will be visiting Tokyo in a year or two, and this will really help a lot. Will definitely book some lessons, as soon as I'm done with my current Medical Assisting classes.
1. Hiragana & Katakana 1:00
2. Practice simple & easy phrases 4:00
3. Self introduction 7:27
4. Boost your vocabulary 7:37
5. Learn grammar 8:04
6. Numbers & Counters 9:51
7. Real like Japanese 11:12
8. Learn more grammar 12:11
9. Learn some Kanji 12:28

Greetings from Venezuela, South America. 🇻🇪
Wow, thank you!! The road map is so well laid out and easy to follow. I really look forward to using it!
My problem seems to be, when I learn a kanji, I translate it to English. I see 何 and think “what” rather than “なに”. That is frustrating for me
Kinishinide
Same! It’s hard 😢

I do that too 😭. I don't know how to stop translating to English
