To me throwing is about water, not clay. Clay is like other minerals, that is to say rocks. They're very good a staying in place, holding the pot up. Water is fluid is easy to work with. Like the tide you can't fight against. You need to work with it. Use fluid movements and clay flows into center. Trying to force the clay into center and you're sure to lose the battle.

私が通う工房では全て個びき(?)なので、ばいびきの経験がありません。150gも１ｋ同じ様に土ゴロシをします。ロクロの中心に土を置きますが、いつも芯が取れません。土を上げる時は良いのですが、下げる時に螺旋状になります。そうなると土はグワングワンで本当に大変です。芯を取るコツと螺旋状にならない土の下げ方を教えて頂きたいと思います。よろしくお願いいたします。
