Another great use for the Dewalt power station. I have one but I never thought about that. I am definitely going to keep that trick in my arsenal. Thanks for the great video.🇺🇸
Nice! Was hoping for a Milwaukee power bank this year. No joy. Everybody was disappointed about no lawnmower. Pfffft. Everybody already has a lawnmower..... I'm hoping that they bring out the power bank and a welder next year. I like DeWalt just fine, I'm just not in that platform. It's always those one or two tools that make the grass greener on the other side of the fence, I suppose..... I try not to be covetous but you're making it hard Mr. Farmer. You're making it hard. I can sleep at night since I don't want yours or anyone elses. I just want one! Ha!! Keep up the good work.
Well I always said one battery platform was all I was going to have but Dewalt will have a great tool then Milwaukee will have a great tool so that’s why I took on another battery platform but 2 platforms is all I’m going to have well I’m going to have the Milwaukee 12v platform also!!! Lol thanks for watching and commenting you have a blessed day
@@DavidFDay Hi David, watched the video again. Man really impressed with this power station. That was also a great tip on feeding the house with this unit. A few questions. The plug you used from the dewalt power station to the wall outlet. Did you make that or can we buy one at a local store? Only asking because two male ends. Also you mention you are using (4) flexvolt battery 60v @ 4 ah each and 12 ah @ 20v. Does it run off the 20v amp or the 60v amp. Just curious
I pair mine with a 300w Solar Panels with a pure sine wave inverter to charge the power station...i like your closed system to power the house but not the grid
I just purchased a dewalt XR dcd991 drilldriver and it makes a click or thud sound when you let off the trigger. Is this normal or should I return it. Thank you. Love your videos. You do a great job !!
Hi David, Wanted to know which paint roller unit do you have on the graco sprayer. Is it the roller or the jet unit. Also do you need to purchase a special roller or any roller works. Please let me know. Thanks,
I know it’s not recommended but I have not seen anyone even try to use all to our power batteries on this set up have you tried it? And if you haven’t would you be willing to do a video?
Another way to power all the circuit is to make a cord with a male plug on one end and 2 male plugs on the other and plug into a kitchen counter split plug make sure your polarity is properly wired on all plugs or you'll short it out also use a power tester one of those 3 light plug in type is fine don't just assume that the plug is wired right should be checking all plugs in a house as I've seen tenants and homeowners replace a plug and wire it incorrectly ie hot on neutral and neutral on hot even one who hooked up a old 110 mobile home to 220 lights glowed real bright for about 5 seconds then burned out so its wise to check it out good to use a power test to check lights out as well I've seen them wired wrong too even one that was color coded wrong from the factory
Hey David, I meant to mention to you that you should keep an eye open for the new Milwaukee MX Fuel range as they have a new Site power supply in the range that is going to be a big advantage for many. Think of the dewalt power station on steroids :) I am sure you will find a use for one at some point :)
The Milwaukee biggest disadvantage is you have to buy all new batteries for their power station. I’m sure it’s going to sale for about 2500 to 4000 dollars for that price I’ll stay with Dewalt and my Honda eu2200i
If you're going to do it with a double ended male plug you might as well go whole hog and put a male plug on one end and a dryer or stove plug on the other end that way you power up all the circuits it won't power anything 220 but all your plugs and lights will work
only down side to this unit is the modified sine wave not good for things like computers and dedicate electronics you would need a pure sine wave unit for that. also its not good to have the battery's in when you plug it in all the battery's have to be out then you plug in and add the battery's 1 at a time its bad for the batteries cause of the spike in power when plugged in also there is not trickle charging after fully charged no stand by or maintaining charging on this unit so unplug when finish charged 1 luv Reema nyc
@@DavidFDay And Joss, you can also scoop the 12ah for $200 now, you have to search, 9ah are even cheaper, and if you are already on a dewalt platform , you have a lot of battiers anyway. If you cant afford the toys my friend. You are watching the wrong video. This thing is awesome with many many uses.
Well now imagine that compounded over multiple job sites. A couple days at one, then a couple days at another, then a couple days at another, then a couple days at another. That 250 turned into $1000 really quickly.
Very cool! Most people don't realize you can do this with an outlet. Great explanation and demo!
I really appreciate your kind comments all the time!!
I certainly had no idea.
Just make sure to throw the main so you don’t send power back down the lines.
That power station is very nice. It is amazing how long those batteries last.
Another great use for the Dewalt power station. I have one but I never thought about that. I am definitely going to keep that trick in my arsenal. Thanks for the great video.🇺🇸
Just make sure to throw the main because the power can travel back out the lines. Thanks for watching and commenting you have a blessed weekend

Great video. We have major power outages in my area. This would work great, as a temp power source.
Man I’m so sorry!! I have Milwaukee’s new power station ordered I’ll be reviewing it soon hopefully.
Thanks for commenting!!
Wow, that's pretty impressive that you can do that with the dewalt unit. Might look into one these units.
With me being a property owner I find uses for it all the time!! Thanks for watching and commenting you have a blessed day

Michael C I made the cord out of heavy gauge wire, and the unit is a 20v so it will run on the 20v batteries
@@DavidFDay
Did you use a 12/3 guage cord?
Got it now on the dewalt power station. Runs on the 20v.
Thank you
I just learned a new trick. Thank you 😊👍
Dewalt needs to pay you for this . I’m sold
good reliable and dependable dewalt love dewalt products just like makita there my 2 best reliable and trusted products ever wich there the best
Real pro tips here.

Awesome! Thanks for the video, enjoyed and learned something new!
Look at you Mr smarty pans! What kind of Greco you use? I just got myself an airless Wagner.

I think that’s the clutch and break that makes that sound.
Awesome trick

Thanks,
It’s the rollover kit they sell at Lowe’s, and it comes with the special roller you have to have and they sell additional rollers.

Sounds good, thanks for the info. .

Im planing to get one! The guy offer it to me for 180 just the power station, so im thinking on buying it!
GET IT! Great deal!
Most impressive!
Just cut off the main breaker off and it could back feed the whole house.

Sometimes those 220 Volt circuits are independent and they ha e their own fuse from the main , so this is not possible in most cases.

Ahahha. Overkill at its best!
Can it power a 120v tig welder?
I wouldn’t think it would
Wait. Did that power station just power the house?
Yes
Will it turn on the microwave ? Or a small microwave?
Yes it will run a microwave
Yes it will but it will damage it because it’s not a pure Sine wave inverter.
Whats the difference between the 12ah and the 9ah since they both are the same size and weight?
3ah
12 ah has more staying power!! Last longer
I’m doing the math!!! 48 amp h at 20 volt it only 8 amp h at 120volt!!! Correct?
Yes. 960 watts or 8 anps for 1 hour. Of course that is based on a steady load
Do you think it would power a dewalt demolition hammer?
I actually cant answer that, maybe someone else will see this and can answer that.
Yes it does.
What's the run time with the 12ah on all day painting
Never have run out of battery with 12ah painting
Anyone no why festool track saw doesnt run on powerbank?
I’d guess cuz this is a modified sine wave and maybe festool needs a pure sine wave 🤷♂️
@@christophercrawford2736 anyway around it?
Dave, I’m thinking of getting a 12v impact driver and have looked at the desalt def 801. Would you recommend it?
Yes I have a DeWalt 12v impact and it works great and I have the Milwaukee 12v both are excellent!!
David Farmer thanks David.
All that for a $250 hassle... how much is the retail price on one of those 12ah batteries again?
The batteries are around $250 a piece, I use this Power Station a lot, very handy for me. Thanks for watching and commenting you have a blessed day.
