- The Singapore Zoo animal exhibits are among the best in the world with the entire Singapore zoo campus extending 28 hectares in a jungle garden. The zoo formerly known as Singapore zoological gardens is also known to the locals as Mandai Zoo. This Zoo is one the most popular attractions in Singapore and is often considered one of the best zoos in the world. The Singapore Zoo is home to over 2,800 animals from over 300 species, including orangutans, tigers, lions, giraffes, elephants, and rhinoceroses. The animals are housed in naturalistic enclosures that recreate their natural habitats.

I love the fact they keep mutiple animals in very large enclosures, giving each species more for stimulation and places to roam and hide. It’s too bad more zoos don’t do this as opposed to keeping each species in tiny enclosures.

3:17 You said the caiman lizard had the whole enclosure to himself, but didn't you notice the big green iguana in the lower middle?
The greatest thing about the Singapore zoo is that there are 4 other zoo parks around it. Apart from the Night Safari, the rest are new. The bird park is incredible. It's just 5 or 6 of those huge aviaries. The zoo is slowly being upgraded section by section. That reptile section is one of the newest, the old one was pretty bad.
Next time I hope to have more time to check out those other places

No pandas Dav? The last time I went to a zoo they had pandas but you had to call weeks ahead to get a time slot to see em. Naturally I hadn’t done that and couldn’t get to see em. I didn’t know you had to. 😢
I didn't see any here and I always look for them at zoos

A 60 dollar fee is really extreme. Is everything as expensive there?

For price, u get quality, one of the, if not the best zoo globally. U will be amazed and its a place for everyone, kids water playground, adults and old folks.
Part of the fee is directly funding their global wildlife protection projects under Mandai Nature.
A shame you didn’t have more time to spend there.
