Why the negativity - I have a 2017 impala - the V6 has 310 HP plenty of power to pass - really enjoy the car - drives super smooth - responsive - apple car play built in - comfortable with plenty of room and a phenomenal trunk. Great Car
I love my 2017 Impala premier. Most powerful smooth quiet responsive V6 I've ever driven. The premier has a lot of luxury options and touches that aren't always noticeable with a quick glance. Chrome strip on the premier dash slowly glows an ambient blue light when the interior is dark and then fades when the interior is brighter. Passengers marvel at rhe many extras like the heated steering wheel air-cooled leather seats, motorized parking brake, motorized tilt telescopic steering wheel. Electric sun shade. Lane departure and blind spot warning, Collision warning and automatic braking, fully adaptive cruise control which automatically accelerates and brakes on its own. Memory seats and steering for two. This vehicle is a lot of bang for the buck
RWD cars are dead except sports cars. Take a look at the Charger. Smaller inside, heavier, and slower than the Impala thanks to the poor packaging of RWD. For all of those who talk about V8s... less than 10% buy a V8 Charger.
I own a 2017 Impala Midnight Edition Premier model, no changes in overall design as this model for 2018, hoping to see more color options in the future, overall I give it a rating of 9 out of 10. The wheel design looks great, however, leans to damage, examples, dings and scratches when riding the rails in a car wash, roads uneven hit lower rim causing pits, dings, scratches. Rims need to be made of a stronger material to hold up better (Rims go from @ $500 - $650 dealers cost, gets expensive to replace). Individual failed to show roof options in his video. I choose the Impala over the SS model, for what one pays for it lacks in the interior comfort format.
I've never liked the Chevy impala not even a car guy....but I rented the 2018 impala model last month...I loved it ...I'm definitely going to purchase one .
I have the 2017 1LT v6 right now as a rental car. For how big the car is it’s pretty quick, has a lot of technology and the steering is really light. No real negatives I can point out about the car. I do think it’s kind of weird that the volume up button is behind the steering wheel but it’s not a big deal. Would still rather have my 335i than this but overall this car is pretty good. I’ve always been a GM fan and this car confirms that they still make a quality vehicle
Would be interesting to see this car in rwd with more motor choices and possible AWD, it would sell alot better if it offered a turbo 4 cylinder, the 3.6l vvt v6 as shown, the ecotec 5.3 v8 and the 6.2l as the SS, mated to the new 10 speed auto, it would be cool to see.
Well it does offer a 2.3L 4cyl but other than 3.6L that’s the only available engines on the Impala but if you want a 6.2L you can get the Chevrolet SS it’s basically a Impala but in different body style.
No way. After owning an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and the wife having a Chevy Lumina Z34.. I’ll never own a mid size or full size 2 door car again. The doors are very long and heavy and a pain on hills or in tight parking lots. Today’s cars look great as four doors. Unless you’re getting a sports car where the doors are smaller and the rear seats rarely occupied.. 4 is the way to go.
I will point out, if nobody else has...that on the steering wheel you said heated seats..but it's a heated steering wheel. That made me super excited and actually glad I caught that lol
Tiny Rick Premier gets you almost everything. Blind spot, Lane departure, forward collision, leather, push button, LED DRLs, HID headlights with LED halo ring, heated & cooled seats, memory seats, and since MY2016 a CD player. You will never see one on the lots sithout those options so I don't see why they don't just make it standard.
Ricky Bobby I know, but what I was saying is that EVERY single Premier/LTZ I've seen has had all of those options. I think it's just a way of advertising a lower entry price.
And what I'm trying to say is. My 1LT/LT '17 Impala has: parking sensors, rear view camera, leather interior, moon roof and remote start. The only other notable features a premier impala has over mine is the lane departure and blind spot detection... and they're asking for like 9k more than mine?...... seriously.... oh and some extra pieces of trim on the exterior of the car.... fuck that. Tiny rick has spoken!
Nice car and great for a road warrior. Too bad it is being discontinued. I guess everyone is pushing for smaller cars, and the ones who aren't are driving SUVs.
@ David Klimmek No rebates will ever equal the savings of depreciation. Here on the cusp of October, 2020 Impalas with a sticker of $41,000CAD are only being advertised at $35,900CAD. Thanks to COVID-19 and a collapsed rental car industry, I got a 2019 Impala LT with an MSRP of over $42,000CAD for $23,000CAD and only 12,000 km on it. I probably could have saved another couple thousand if I had only waited another month, but I needed a new car. What risk from 12,000 km? Only 7,000 miles? Full factory warranty. All maintenance done. Clean title. And even if something does go wrong (that is just as likely to do so on even a new vehicle anyways) best to not have spent all that money on nothing but new car smell.
I was always a Chevy person my whole life but I can't get over the fact that they took taxpayer money for a bail out when they knew and was covering up about the ignition was faulty on certain models when innocent people were dying how can I ever be a Chevy person again how could anyone be?? With that being said good video..!
I am waiting for it to have that automatic parallel Parking. When you stop beside a car and it parks for you. Then I am on board, I will definitely by a new one. I love my Chevy Impala that's what it would take for me to buy a new one.
And what they don’t tell you, is that if you’re 2018 impala a/c composer fail and if your car takes R-1234yf refrigerant it will cost $2500.00 to repair the system and that’s not even dealership prices. Hell... the refrigerant alone cost over $200 to refill the system
We own a 2015 Impala 2LT and love it all the way around. The LTZ which has since become the Premier offering is a satisfying full size car. My biggest complaint is found in pretty much every car I've tested across the panoply of offered vehicles (including Audi and other true luxury vehicles): why is it that you can spend $30-50K on a vehicle these days and still get a GPS that is frustratingly difficult to use, even impossibly slow in its response time to the point as to be useless? If you purchase a Garmin or other GPS or even bring up directions on your smart phone, the program is responsive accurate and fast. On the dedicated GPS modules, there are many features that offer information useful to your trip and even include lifetime maps! Try that at your local Chevy dealer--it will cost you multiple bucks to get what is offered free elsewhere!!! The car manufacturers should simply license Garmin or other GPS dealers to do it right in their vehicles. Hopefully they will come to this and make distance travelers happy.
I checked out the Impalas and took a test drive. Very nice car, plenty of features everywhere. It has Cadillac type quiet smooth ride and handling. It is just too bad the Impala is such a poor seller. It is a nice looking car except for that horribly ugly rear end. Newer Toyota Camry has same rear design. Impala is a "Classic" badge, why can't they build a car that reflects the heritage (like Camaro)? I don't think GM will ever recover from the Holden "SS" debacle.
Forget the rest an get the Impala ...or Taurus.. as many of us large sedan lovers will before they're gone! New '19 Impala Premier pls. No midsize Japanese sedan can hold a candle .
I never see these on the road. I see loads of the older "limited" style models, I even owned a 2013 myself. No one seems to buy these for some reason, either that or I just never notice them.
Check the key fob for the Impala premier, it’s the same key to a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox LT. Why does Chevy not put a high quality for small detail, customer deserve what they pay for.
From the list of features it seems have the: (WPW) Driver Confidence Package II, available only on the Premier (1LZ) trim level and requires the (ACZ) Premier Convenience Package, includes: (UEU) Forward Collision Alert (UFL) Lane Departure Warning (KSG) Adaptive Cruise Control (RQ9) 20″ aluminum wheels (RAL) P245/40R20 all-season, blackwall tires The package is not available with accessory/LPO-level (VAT) body-color/blacked out grille Read more: gmauthority.com/blog/gm/chevrolet/impala/2018-chevrolet-impala/2018-chevrolet-impala-changes-updates-new-features/#ixzz4sH0FuGQs
Nice Impala, looks like mine. I have 2015, 4 cylinder, moonroof, the works, love it, and has nice power for a 4 cylinder, fast. Dark tinted windows, bad lookin car. Only difference is the grill, and slight rearend difference, like mine better tho,lol
The Good thing why I love American cars is they offer more for their value all the gadgets and everything at low price affordable most things come as standard and offer more technology and safety unlike the foreign cars they just want more money for everything and not the safety and just cause its foreign doesn't mean its good ive seen some foreign cars have more problem than American made but its all in the maintenance and proper car
Dude at that price range we are talking Tesla Model 3 territory or a lightly used Audi Q5. I would never pay $40,000 for a GM car. That's insane. It's actually a nice car but worth absolute max maybe $26k
It's a nice car, but the Impala is dying. No coupe or convertible variants, no V8 option and no switch to RWD will get Impala off life support. The so-called "crossover" has won the battle, unfortunately. That's a shame, since the current (and probably final) generation is the best Impala in decades.
Everyone wants SUVs now, sedans and coupes, and convertibles are not particularly popular. A switch to RWD is pointless because a FWD layout is far more efficient and provides better traction during bad weather. BTW, Chevy did have a RWD sedan with a Corvette engine no less and a 6 speed manual transmission. It was called the SS. Guess what? It has now been discontinued. Low sales and the lack of advertisement killed it.
stvkrenim it would help if you knew what your talking about. Every one that has rode in mine and that's a lot because I drive for lyft say they love mine. This car is just as good as any BMW. You Don't see a lot of the three and four year old ones up for sale yet. Take a ride very solid and rides grate.
Everyone says put a V8 in it and make it RWD. I might be going out on a limb and guess most of them are currently making payments on a 5 year old car at a high interest rate with a 565 credit score. You would think the Dodge Charger and 300 Chrysler would be the best selling car of all time if that was the market. FWD is all about packaging and price it would make the Impala about 3,000 more plus the V8 so you would be paying about 100.00 per month more in payment for RWD and V8. AWD and turbo 6 on a high preformance model would be more realistic. V8 RWD mass market is dead!!! 50k and up is luxury market not mass market.
Everyone saying they would buy it if it had a v8 is lying. Chevy had the 6.2 the the chevy ss for 2014-2016 no one bought them. and sadle there probably wont be a v8 in a 4 door sedan anytime soon
Want a 6.2 rear drive Chevy Impala? Do what I did and buy a 2017 Chevy SS if you can find one. They have 415 HP and 415 foot pounds of torque and other a Corvette drive train components.
No. I like my comfortable, roomy, and refined V6 FWD Impala, thanks. It already has way more power than I need. This is a boulevard cruiser and a freeway mile eater.. not a wannabe sports car that will get spanked by the first Mustang GT that shows interest.
OFFER THE CAR IN AWD FOR FUCKS SAKE. I would of easily chose a 2017 Chevrolet Impala with AWD over my 2017 2.0 ecoboost AWD Fusion (which i still enjoy). I live in Syracuse NY, AWD is important.
Lol... if AWD isn’t important in the Canadian Rockies.. it isn’t important in Syracuse NY. I’ve never owned an AWD vehicle and the one 4x4 truck I had was deadly in snow. Buy some Nokian tires and spend some time in an empty snow covered parking lot... lest you wind up like so many AWD drivers I see in the ditch who thought their car could change the laws of physics.
if the driving public drove sane not pedal to the metal used synthetic oil & transmission fluids the vehicles last way longer get better fuel economy! been in the industry for 32 years
we have a 2016 LTZ V6, fully optioned like this one plus the sunroof in dark blue and the charcoal/mojave interior.. The fact they make you buy those god-awful 20" wheel package is beyond me. We rented an LTZ before we ordered our car and loved it. We were in an accident with our Kia Optima so wanted all the new safety features and the only way you can get them, is with the 20" wheels. They RUIN the ride of the car. The car had so much road noise we pulled everything from the back seat to the rear bumper and put sound deadening material in. Helped a bit but still noisy and harsh. We just replaced the wheels with a set of the 19" LTZ wheels that have been chromed (Detroit wheel) It's like a completely different car. Shame on you GM for making people buy these ugly giant wheels which ruins an otherwise fantastic car. I am disappointed that the 2018 is not using the 8 speed transmission the LaCrosse has. If my Impala hadn't depreciated so badly I would likely have traded it in on the new LaCrosse. Our Impala is worth exactly half what we paid for it and it only has 25K. Our Optima hold it's value better.
That’s why I bought mine used. A 2019 LT with the V6, leather, sunroof. One year old, 7500 miles for barely over half the sticker price.. and that was from a dealer. 18 inch wheels.. I wanted the ride rather than ridiculously large rims. I don’t care about depreciation going the other way because I’m keeping it until it dies.
Malibu rear end. Fwd. V6 .200hp no passing power Do you hear the motor sputter right after he started it. On star to track your movements. Impala was announced as on chopping.block It may be discontinued .

It looks very nice and is not a bad car. However, when we test drove it, it's interior seemed really cheaply built and it did not have nearly as much room as the Kia Cadenza or Toyota Avalon that we test drove.
They've got the rear bumper styling wrong & the styling around the trailing edge of the rear door & rear three quarter panel is up to personal taste I guess.
Been renting the LT V6 for over a week. I love it. Will more than likely be the next car I purchase.
Why the negativity - I have a 2017 impala - the V6 has 310 HP plenty of power to pass - really enjoy the car - drives super smooth - responsive - apple car play built in - comfortable with plenty of room and a phenomenal trunk. Great Car
I bought one and it's fantastic. What's not to like?
I love my 2017 Impala premier.

correction its 305 horsepower.
Lol you must be an older gentleman.
Lamon Lites most commuters don’t want to run you lol
GM is making a big mistake ending the Impala production . Mary Barra should rethink herself before it's too late .
Tom Rubino 18 will be the last year?
2020 is the last year
I agree
Tom Rubino They’re probably discontinuing the Impala to bring it back on a RWD platform.
RWD cars are dead except sports cars.
Take a look at the Charger. Smaller inside, heavier, and slower than the Impala thanks to the poor packaging of RWD. For all of those who talk about V8s... less than 10% buy a V8 Charger.
Looks like the inside of my 2017 Impala. I'm quite happy with it. Everyone who rides in it loves it too.
I remembered why I love this car so much
I own a 2017 Impala Midnight Edition Premier model, no changes in overall design as this model for 2018, hoping to see more color options in the future, overall I give it a rating of 9 out of 10. They are nice, my 15 has to be one of my most favorite vehicles. I get a ton of compliments on it too with a few changes
I have the 2017 1LT v6 right now as a rental car. For how big the car is it’s pretty quick, has a lot of technology and the steering is really light. No real negatives I can point out about the car. Renting one now. Great car. Very impressed GM.
I was so impressed im buying a '19 Impala Premier b4 they are gone! Excellent luxurious safe & very well built sedan.

P&M Productions id like to see the new gen of the ecotecs, also with the rumored twin turbo v8!
I wish they had a 2 Door Impala coupe as a personal car like they did then.
I would run out and buy it today if they did. I used to have an Impala SS coupe
I agree that would be great , I would like to see the monte Carlo come back .
No way.
After owning an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and the wife having a Chevy Lumina Z34.. I’ll never own a mid size or full size 2 door car again. The doors are very long and heavy and a pain on hills or in tight parking lots.

I rented one of these and thought it was excellent. Its ride is as quiet as my '15 ES350 and its has plenty of power if needed.
I will point out, if nobody else has...that on the steering wheel you said heated seats..but it's a heated steering wheel. That made me super excited and actually glad I caught that lol
+Erica Lucas Thanks for pointing it out
Erica Lucas I caught that too
IMA HAVE THIS CAR BY OCTOBER👌🙏💪🚶🏃🏃🏃🎩💤
Feel sorry for you best regards though
Luis M your name is Luis I feel bad for you
Castle v I agree but that’s not my name it’s just an alias haha
Amazing car. I prefer this for this money rather than BMW or Merc unreliable for crazy money
We want a 6.2 engine on the impala
So it can compete with the scatpack
Well Chevy still offer the "SS" which is pretty much impala SS but without the Logo. its still sedan with 6.2L and it can haul ass
P&M Productions true but let's be honest the Impala looks way better than the SS .A 6.2 on the Impala won't be a bad idea
They had a 5.3 that would fit
@@erich84502ify the 2012 caprice had a quite big engine i believe it was 6.2 supercharged big car to
I would never pay for a premier. I have a 2017 Impala LT/1LT... my only question is, how does a premier not have a moon roof??
+Criosphinx 101 Its a $375 Option. It doesn't come standard
Ricky Bobby exactly my point
Tiny Rick Premier gets you almost everything. Blind spot, Lane departure, forward collision, leather, push button, LED DRLs, HID headlights with LED halo ring, heated & cooled seats, memory seats, and since MY2016 a CD player. Getting a new '19 Impala Premier next wk. Forget the Crossover crowd. Big station wagons they are. Large American sedans ya still cant go wrong !
I am about to buy a 2017-2018 premier , looking for used with less than 25 k on the odometer.
May be better off getting new. Rebates etc. Plus no used car surprises! Impala or Taurus only way to go.
Congrats I love my 15 LTZ
@ David Klimmek
No rebates will ever equal the savings of depreciation.
Here on the cusp of October, 2020 Impalas with a sticker of $41,000CAD are only being advertised at $35,900CAD.

They do not miss you no worries, i stick to chevy i just bought a 2018 Camaro, could not be more happier with it.
Great video. Thanks. This is exactly how I would check this car out!
Was hoping they would redesign the ugly brake lights.
Beautiful
I can’t wait to own one 😊
What a grill
Why can't they make one with all the bells and whistles with the original grill
Dream car😍
I think it's a great looking car. I'm just not a FWD kind of car person. Otherwise I think Chevy hit it out of the park with this one.
I am waiting for it to have that automatic parallel Parking. When you stop beside a car and it parks for you. Then I am on board, I will definitely by a new one. I love my Chevy Impala that's what it would take for me to buy a new one.
Great walk through just left out how to access the release to refuel the vehicle
Why my 2018 premier doesn’t have heated steering wheel, adapted cruise control, memory seat buttons, gap cruise, cool seats, sunroof, 20inch wheels?
No cassette player?! That's the deal breaker for me! No dice Chevy no dice!
What's a cassette? Just kidding, I remember having cases of them in my car back in the day ha ha
😆
You can buy a USB cassette deck.
I never see these on the road. I see loads of the older "limited" style models, I even owned a 2013 myself. No one seems to buy these for some reason, either that or I just never notice them.
I see them everywere in the Chicagoland area. Your location may just not be to big with Chevy.
Check the key fob for the Impala premier, it’s the same key to a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox LT. Why does Chevy not put a high quality for small detail, customer deserve what they pay for.
I honestly agree. Atleast for the premier trim get a better key fob
Kenny Shi u see cheap BMW keyfobs
I’m really thinking of this as my next car, I don’t need a v8 rn, trynna cut down on gas cause over here it’s starting to get to $4 a gallon again 😩
I get around 29 in my 2015 LTZ. One reason why I like traveling in it
Are those the optional wheels for the ltz trim??
i saw a new malibu with LED taillights. why doesnt this have them?
Good review but you didn't drive it? Lol I was hoping for a highway test to see how it handles, noise, etc.
From the list of features it seems have the:
(WPW) Driver Confidence Package II, available only on the Premier (1LZ) trim level and requires the (ACZ) Premier Convenience Package, includes:
(UEU) Forward Collision Alert

(RAL) P245/40R20 all-season, blackwall tires

Que carro lindo, se viesse pro Brasil IA vender muito
Do we have it in South Africa?
Two things Chevy needs to do is bring back the Impala SS but, make it RWD & Impalas should have AWD fwd sucks
William Davis try driving in the snow without frontdrive or no winter tires
Looks just like my 2015 ..... ( mine is dark grey ) I may just upgrade to the '18 ......
Any chance of their being a V8 powered SS ???
She is a sexy thing. Why are there so many dislikes?

Love it
Does it take regular gas? Or premium gas?
Pretty sure reg, I have a 2015 LTZ
You hafe in.4 cl. ?
But I'm from India where Chevy stopped manufacturing all its cars. I miss Chevy cars.

no CD player?
Would get one if it didn't have that pos 3.6 vvt we own a traverse with the same engine and keep running into problems
Is this car good?

I heard 2019 will be the last model year for the Impala. Chevrolet is going to kill it off.
stvkrenim it would help if you knew what your talking about.
This is the exact same car as a 2017
+Drvinnieboombatts Exactly.
I see some minor trim changes - but, yeah, essentially the same car.
+JuniorFan08 Well GM made a decision to kill the Impala in 2019 so 2018 is last year for it
Is the decision final? Any way, there will be a 2019 model that could still continue to sell just as Ford did with the Grand Marquis.
Thanks for posting the video, but unfortunately video starts by mentioning "all new" when it isn't. Great car though, I have the 2017 Premier.
Impala is better designed than the camaro
Nice video....

الصوت يدل على سوء الجودة وهي مازالت جديدة
The sound related to bad quality in spite of it’s new!
Wind?
World beating car simplyvin need of v8 power. Superior than any Nippon or Euro junk
You get heated seats at no charge in a Civic or Corolla and the $32k Impala LS doesn't even have them. Come On !!
The wind does not let you give a clear or good show .
Wow, a turning radius of 19.3 inches.
OK OK why would you have heated seat button on the steering wheel. You meant heated steering wheel
Everyone saying they would buy it if it had a v8 is lying. Chevy had the 6.2 the the chevy ss for 2014-2016 no one bought them. and sadle there probably wont be a v8 in a 4 door sedan anytime soon
How much colander
Wish they offered awd but too late it's being discontinued
Me too thus I will prob buy the '19 Taurus SEL AWD! Maybe EcoBoost twin turbo too.
Yea that would be awesome. For some reason they put awd in the Buick LaCrosse
cuidando los detalles desde el el primer segundo ,ahi... que ese plastico aerodinamico colgando de la puerta
Want a 6.2 rear drive Chevy Impala? Do what I did and buy a 2017 Chevy SS if you can find one. They have 415 HP and 415 foot pounds of torque and other a Corvette drive train components.
Not to mention bland looking asf and overpriced
No. I like my comfortable, roomy, and refined V6 FWD Impala, thanks.
It already has way more power than I need.
This is a boulevard cruiser and a freeway mile eater.. not a wannabe sports car that will get spanked by the first Mustang GT that shows interest.
Nice car :-)
Beautiful car what about $20,000 too much
Wrong. It's a bargain.
It'll depreciate fast
Wow super onroad price plese
Put a 6.2 liter on this impala and stop selling v6 if you want profit GM. Get it together Dodge is making you look like a rookie
OFFER THE CAR IN AWD FOR FUCKS SAKE. I would of easily chose a 2017 Chevrolet Impala with AWD over my 2017 2.0 ecoboost AWD Fusion (which i still enjoy). I live in Syracuse NY, AWD is important.
Ford and Fusions suck.
Lol... if AWD isn’t important in the Canadian Rockies.. it isn’t important in Syracuse NY. I’ve never owned an AWD vehicle and the one 4x4 truck I had was deadly in snow.
Buy some Nokian tires and spend some time in an empty snow covered parking lot... lest you wind up like so many AWD drivers I see in the ditch who thought their car could change the laws of physics.
if the driving public drove sane not pedal to the metal used synthetic oil & transmission fluids the vehicles last way longer get better fuel economy! been in the industry for 32 years
It doesn't remind you of any previous impalas like the 64 95 or 00
The steering wheel is so ugly
I like it! Similar to the ones in the new Genesis line.
we have a 2016 LTZ V6, fully optioned like this one plus the sunroof in dark blue and the charcoal/mojave interior..
Why does Chevrolet keep messing up the impala. They took the block out and take away the 6.2 🤦🏾♂️....LAWD WHAT'S NEXT 🤷🏾♂️
как его купить и где
A decent American family car
Bruh! A whole power outlet?
Can you trade 2017 impala with my 2016 Camry XSE?
What's up with the rear end especially tail lights
This isn't a review, this is some guy rattling off what the car has. No mention of how it drives or what's different from the previous year's model.
it's a front wheel drive
That is a good thing!
itsmegp46 they handle great in snowy conditions
Not only that, but fwd gives more interior space and a huge trunk.
Need AWD
Better for the winter, gets through the snow better with fwd
Malibu rear end. Fwd. V6 .200hp no passing power Do you hear the motor sputter right after he started it. On star to track your movements. Impala was announced as on chopping.block
It may be discontinued .
+7thno yah GM is discontinuing it in 2019
No way they are killing the Impala name....

Base motor 200hp. 90 percent sold are base models.
ở Mỹ đẹp mê hồn
ở VN thì chán không tả nổi
Umarım Türkiye’de de satışa sunulur
The car is very similar to my 15
Mines too
I have a 2015 LTZ same color and style
Hello good looking car
It looks very nice and is not a bad car. However, when we test drove it, it's interior seemed really cheaply built and it did not have nearly as much room as the Kia Cadenza or Toyota Avalon that we test drove.
Put a sock over the microphone next time it is windy out
They've got the rear bumper styling wrong & the styling around the trailing edge of the rear door & rear three quarter panel is up to personal taste I guess.
