    With legends in it's past from the 1960's, 70's and beyond, the Chevrolet Impala has quite a lot to live up to. From being the favorite of DUB'd out whips, to boulevard cruisers and luxury limos, the Impala has quite a lot riding on it. With a couple rather sad designs in the past couple decades, can the new Impala resurrect such a history nameplate in 2017? Watch our review to find out!

    • @MrTblackmon

      Because the Ford Taurus is comprehensively old, long-in-the-tooth, and merely outdated, in the full-size category, I can agree to this with the Chrysler 300 is rear-wheel drive, eight-cylinder bias, but old, as well, the American full-size sedan crown should be aimed at the Impala moderately; although the aforementioned are still decent in their own right like the Taurus offers a twin-turbo V-6 with great amenities to match or how the 300 can be equipped with all-wheel drive or comes available with an eight-cylinder or comes available in various trims.

    As much as I like Chevy, I'd only buy an Impala if it had either RWD or AWD (like the Dodge Charger and certain Ford Taurus models). FWD doesn't really belong on a full-size sedan.

    • @jeffe4297
      @jeffe4297 4 года назад

      Take a look at the Chevy SS (it is a different car from the Impala, not a special version). RWD, V8, 6 speed manual. Made from 2014-18. Can probably find a used one somewhere.

    • @jeffe4297
      @jeffe4297 4 года назад

      @@nickkankanyan9533 Very true, probably because Chevy didn't make a lot of them and people are just now starting to recognize how much of a cool car it is, which drives up the price. I've watched many videos about Impalas (I have one), and I see several comments on almost all those videos from people saying they wished it came with a V8 and in RWD. Chevy did make a car that everyone claims they want, but no one ever bought it. That's why it was cancelled. Though to be fair, Chevy/GM did next to nothing to promote the car, so I doubt very many people even knew it existed. I don't recall there ever being any kind of advertising for it. The only time I ever saw one up close and personal was at an auto show I attended a few years ago.

    I own a 2017 Impala Midnight Edition Premier model, no changes in overall design as this model for 2018, hoping to see more color options in the future, overall I give it a rating of 9 out of 10. The wheel design looks great, however, leans to damage, examples, dings and scratches when riding the rails in a car wash, roads uneven hit lower rim causing pits, dings, scratches. Rims need to be made of a stronger material to hold up better (Rims go from @ $500 - $650 dealers cost, gets expensive to replace). Individual failed to show roof options in his video. I choose the Impala over the SS model, for what one pays for it lacks in the interior comfort format.

    • @boscome
      @boscome 7 лет назад

      I was seriously planning on getting the Fusion until I read reviews on how many many owners have problems with dead battery. Something is draining the battery and the cars do not start. Ford doesn't admit there is a problem, dealers don't know how to fix it, owners cars sit for weeks at the dealer unfix and the dealership won't give em a loaner.
      Another problem I saw from owners is when putting the window up it won't stay up, drops down an inch or so. My neighbor and his wife both have fusions and they both have that problem.
      Sites such as Edmonds state that Ford cars such as the fusion do not compare well to others in its class. Poor gas mileage and reliability for Fords is lower.
