Small correction (I think): it probably will not work with Xbox because of their proprietary audio chip. Should work great with PS and Switch though.

Just got one these from your recommendation, they have such a great pairing with the Truthear Hexa, I use the XO for my over ear 560s. Both do an amazing job when you pair with the right iem or cans, Great review.

It was reassuring to watch your review tonight here in the UK. I have one on order to replace a Moondrop Dawn pro which only lasted 3 months. As Moondrop wanted a video of the fault which was actually crackling on the left channel, I just gave up. Hopefully QC on the dongle is better than the Moondrop. Thanks for the video.
Mine arrived today and I'm very pleased with the sound quality. I've only had the chance to listen for an hour or so using my S23 phone but so far so good. The only slight issue is that the volume buttons don't seem to work, or if they do the change is minimum. However I can't push it past 25% on my phone with the IEMS I use the most. I'll try the volume buttons again later or just as Amazon to replace it.

The volume buttons on the DEW4X have pretty small steps and they won't trigger the volume display on your phone. If you're struggling to get enough volume range on your phone, try pressing and holding the down volume on the DEW4X (once it's plugged in) and see if that gives you more range.
Did you ask moondrop how ro put crackling sounds on tape? I guess they ask everyone with issues for a video in their standard process wirhiut reading details you might have already written. I think its worth it, cs otherwise they will think there arent any issues and others might not participate from a solution Moondrop has to figure out

@PassionforSound I tried several IEMs and it was only the Linsoul Tripowin x HBB Olina's that had an issue. Maybe I connected things in the wrong order.
Even if it doesn’t work with consoles fully, still sounds like it could be a buy. But in a world where I own probably 5 or 6 dongle dacs, do I really need another one?
You can never have too many dongles! 😂😂

I don't have a 5k to compare with. I've tried one once and it was excellent, but I can't give you more clarity than that (which is none). Sorry.
owning the qudelix i wouldnt get it for soundquality. while its not bad you only should get it, if you are into tinkering with settings and specially EQ. Otherwise there are better sounding bt dongles out there. I also own the Fiio BTR15 and the Shanling UP4 22 for example and both easily surpass the Qudelix in soundquality. They sound less wooly and specially the shanling has a much deeper soundstage and better imaging. The Fiio on the other hand still has many software quirks that might or might not be adressed in future software updates. For its around 70 EUR at amazon atm the Shanling is the best small bt dongle i came across. Probably the ifi go blue still sounds slightly better, but i didnt have a chance to hear it yet. If i were in the market again i would most likely get the Shanling M0 pro which offers all the same bt functionalities, comparable if not better sound, same chips, size and weight but also is a full blown dap for the same price as most of the dongles. I dont use any eqs with my headphones tho.

Just wanted to make sure I understood correctly, but the volume on the Simgot DEW4X is separate from the volume on your physical device the dongle would be plugged into? Meaning I could have my phone at full volume, and the volume buttons on this dongle are only changing its own volume level, while the phone would be left at full volume as I had set it?
That's correct. You can use each control separately either for convenience (whatever's easier to reach) or to help get the sweet spot for just the right volume level.

Take a look at Fiio KA17 ...Sweet spot
sweet spot for what? Heat if you need a hand warmer? power consumption if you want to drain your phones battery as fast as possible? If you want to use desktop mode you might need an external powerpack which makes it even more bulky and heavy and only than it has the most power output. depending on the headphones or iem you want to use you wont even need this much power. When not using in desktop mode power output is as much as many others but its still bulkier and gets warm. Last not least it uses THX amps which are notorious for not offering a great soundstage depth and good layering at all. sweet spot might be an Aune Yuki with its descrete amp stage, the ibasso dc04 pro still might be king in the lower price range or if you want to pay more there are the Cayin RU7 and the ibasso DC Elite all of these will sound more natural and holographic than the Fiio which on top of that still has quite a few software quirks. the times where Fiio offered an exceptional price performance ratio are long gone. These days they try to impress with sheer numbers on paper. Soundquality is still decent but not best in class and software when products go live is in beta status at best.
Do you like Hype 4? I m looking for the two or three BEST opcions for music under 800€.

I'm not a huge fan of the Hype 4. I'd be looking at the Xenns Top, Dita Project M, or Yanyin Canon II
