Dude mine is literally out for delivery right now! I am glad that this is a fun sounding dac. That is all I was after. Great review as always!
Hope you enjoy it! This is a fun one!
Great review! This seems like such a nice small dongle. Love the design!
Yeah I really like the design! Great to see you around! I just got back from my month long trip to South Africa haha
If I have the truthear shio already would this be a good buy?
`Smooth, natural with a slight tint of warmth´ reminds me of Lotoo PAW S1.
I'm curious if Allegro shares nearly the same sound signature with Lotoo.
I'm currently using PAW S1. 😃
May I know the difference in sound signture between these two?
The Allegro is slightly warmer than the S1. Technically the S1 is still very good today! If you are looking to upgrade do consider the Luxury and Precision W2 (it isn't super new so might be able to get it cheaper)
I have one small question, does this allow microphone access?
Hi, which one would you suggest between this and the cda m1p? I use mainly mangrid tea mk1, simgot em6l and sennheiser hd600, i ve read that the colorfly became warm soon and it seems to be bulky
Most dongles become warm after a while. The M1p is built better. Both these dongles have no problem with your iems but the HD600 deserves something that can make them shine.
I think the choice between the 2 would be if you wanted more details get the M1P, if you want a more analog sound get the Allegro.
@@SuperChonk thanks, what do you suggest for the hd600? I have the shanling up4 22 and tried the ua4 but both seem to be not powerful enough. Maybe the hip dac 2/3? It's a bit bulky but still portable
Sounds perfect for out and about :)
It is a great entry point to the world of dongles!
Dawn pro or this ? I know different chips. Sounds ...
Por que dices que colorfly es mas detallado que allegro? La mayoria coinciden en que no tiene tanto detalle en el agudo y que simgot dew 4x y tanchjim space le ganan y son similares a allegro.
Shanling ua1s better?)
I want to use this to Kiwi Ears Forteza. Any thoughts?
Good match. Can give the Forteza some warmth which will benefit it
Which one in your experience is more analog sounding, the Colorfly CDA M1P or this Kiwi dongle? Surprised that an ESS could sound smoother than an AKM dac chip.
The Kiwiears Allegro is more analog sounding while the Colorfly CDA M1P is more modern sounding!
@@SuperChonk Thanks for the confirmation, the days when ESS sounds etched and the AKM velvety is no longer always true. I can confirm that the Colorfly doesn't sound like a typical AKM based dac, but I still love it.
@@LibericaBorneo Yeah, these days manufacturers are doing more to dongles. A large part of the sound can be attributed to the analog stage which can change the innate charecter of the DAC used.
Hello. What kind of ear pads are you wearing on SIMGOT EA500 LM ?
Es mas detallado que colorfly M1P?
I think the Colourfly CDA M1P has slightly better resolution/detail.
Interesting
I like how it looks!
It has so much analog flavor even gameboy advanced pales in comparison
Even the original game boy pales by comparison! hahahahaha
@@SuperChonk no way! You can’t beat the og loooool
It will be a perfect match for bright-sounding IEMs such as the Simgot EW200.
Why do reviewers never use DAPs? You all want your music run through an android stack, and then inturrupted by WA and Text messages, etc.. Something like 0.6% THD + N, kinda cancels the good spec on your dongle..
If you are talking about me, I have a Lotoo Paw Gold Touch Titanium haha.
I do use dongles because its just convenient! haha
@@SuperChonk I was speaking in general about iem reviewers, I have not yet hear a reviewer suggesting a DAP or saying 'I reviewed this on Aune m1p' .. That's all.. It's all dongles all the time..
@@wahid-lg1kk You are right actually. Although dongles have very decent output I don't find that they give enough headroom compared to DAPS.
@@SuperChonk Exactly, plus other factors which you are familiar with.
@@wahid-lg1kk you are right actually some dongles boast incredible power…. But at what thd ? Haha
Sory but im allergic to ESS.. Peace!
up+up+down+down (you know the drill) to unlock double the power
up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A and Start!!!!
