I have worked hard to build up the self awareness of my back, given I have the similar spine with the young handsome model, physically and mindfully with the termination of disciplining and letting go of the muscles. Very fine and patient practice.

    How can this create lasting change when we do schorth and put the spine in correct position and let the muscles work in that correct position for maybe 30 minutes per day. When we then have the muscles working in the wrong position the other 23 hours and 30 minutes of the day?
    How can this tiny amount of correct position counteract that the muscles are working in the wrong position for 95% of the time during a day?
    Thanks for all the videos

    • @AlignTherapyUtah
      @AlignTherapyUtah  16 дней назад

      That is a great question. You are right, the amount of time you are actively doing the exercises is minimal compared to the whole day. The reason it works is as we are doing Schroth corrections, we are retraining the muscles how to be in a better position. Then we try to integrate the correction into everyday activities. If we can integrate them more, then it happens more subconciously and changes our movement patterns. That, in turn, creates better correction during the day when you are not doing the exercises. Hope that helps!

    • @ChapsShrugged
      @ChapsShrugged 4 года назад +1

      I'd recommend a "nerve therapist"- its pretty painful, but you'll get a clear idea of problem areas. I'm thinking the most direct treatment would be "Chiropractic Biophysics", or "CBP"- basically they lock your body in a vice and force it to adjust- but its intense, my friend said its totally common for people to cry super hard- but not out of just pain- neuromuscular holding patterns from stress or emotion. Peopel laugh uncontrollably too... but I think that'd be the quickest way. I don't have funding right now, but I HAVE been to a nerve therapist.
      For self-treatment, I've been laying on the floor, trying to "feel" the backside of my body "contact evenly" and hold that position for 10-20 minutes, while continuing to breathe- full, steady- to relax. Sometimes I can FEEL foot, hip, shoulder, leg, spine muscles relax and when they do- its heaven to feel balanced for a few hours. But it only works SOMETIMES haha. But I can't just stretch normally or do yoga, because sometimes it makes things worse.
      Also-read/listen to a book called "Breath" by James Nestor- that's what led me here. There's a German gal whose name escapes me, who used breathwork and cured not only her scoliosis, but 150 or so other women back in the first half of the 20th century. Chapter 4,5, or 6 of Breath. That's what I'm looking for is "orthopedic breathing".
      Good luck to you!

      That is what makes it effective. Controlled movements to retrain the muscles. Just like any other activity, you start slow and then progress to controlling with more speed.

    Someone with S shaped scoliosis, and who got improvement?

      I did. :) I had a back brace and did schroth physiotherapy. In three years, my curve went from 26-27 degrees to 20-21 degrees.

      @@vansakutov Yes! Though, I think most of the reason why mine improved was because of the back brace. I wore it 18-21 hours per day for about 3 years. I'm not exactly sure how much of a role schroth physiotherapy had in my improvement, but I did it for 2 hours per week at a clinic + doing the exercises at home.

      @@remionno5461 Do you have trouble while doing the exercises home ?

    • @remionno5461
      @remionno5461 3 года назад +1

      @@nintendofan5978 Yes, it can be difficult to do some exercises without the right equipment, so I had to buy some things. At first, it's bit tiring to do the exercises, but after doing them for a few weeks with the guidance of a certified schroth physiotherapist for a few weeks, you get used to it and can do them easily at home. It's just important to remember how exactly to set up the equipment for each exercise though because you don't want to be doing it incorrectly.

    The problem with all these videos is they are really just an advertising deck for this physiotherapist. There are hundreds if not thousands of physiotherapists on RUclips. All claim to know the answer. So tell me, what is the point of your videos and why are you better or more effective than the others? Telling us the theory is great. Showing off your technique nice for you. But I don’t need another theoretical video. Are you ever going to tell anyone how to self help in the absence of getting paid? Nothing personal here, just business. Viewers are looking for answers. Not just another opinion on how to deal with scoliosis theoretically with thousands of other ones out there. Thank you!

      Great question! The point of my videos...to help people see that there are more things that can be done for scoliosis. The number of people who actually live in my area that see these videos is very small. As you can see, I am not rolling in money from RUclips since it takes a lot more views than what I am getting. I do hope to have some people who live in the area come and see me for treatment because I truly believe and have seen this work. That is also backed by research. There is no exercise based treatment that has more research to back it! Hands down. The rest of the people who watch this video I hope it helps them to get the best care they can. To say this is theoretical is no accurate. Please do your own homework on this and see if it is right for you. I do plenty of videos that are self help and you are welcome to watch them. Be real though, RUclips is made for marketing and to get information out there for people to learn but also to build a business. Otherwise, I can't, and others can't, continue to post things just out of the goodness of their hearts. Take the principles I talk about and find someone who can really help you get the results you want. Good Luck!
