I feel like achievements like this get overshadowed at Sheffield! Perk still outlifts everyone on that platform by quite a big margin. Kjell being a closeish second. Everyone else doesn't even come close in terms of coefficients. Crazy.

Sorry. Should clarify I mean outlift every man. Agata is obviously in a league of her own.

@@joederbyshire_it's 10kg more total in the 66kg class, and kjell got fucked by the referees on bench and dead if you ask me

Both Russel and Emil got higher IPF score than Kjell. And all the ladies except for Tiffany, Alba, Bobbie and Jade came ahead of both Russel and Emil

I remember 6-7 years ago when Brett Gibbs was the first (I believe) to break the 10x BW barrier as a 83 kg at IPF Worlds. Now Austin is lifting more than that at 74 kg, the evolution of the sport is just wild

Kjell weighed in at 65.9 and managed a total of 770kgs
Austin weighed in at 73.9 and managed a total of 843kgs
That's 11.68kg/kg bodyweight lifted by Kjell
And 11.40kg/kg bodyweight lifted by Austin
Austin didn't maintain his position as the number one pound for pound best lifter, Kjell clearly surpassed him.

When people refer to pound for pound they don’t typically mean like a literal mathematical calculation. what they commonly mean is who’s the best relative to other people in their weight class and also the competitiveness of that given weight class. Most people would consider coefficients such as dots and GL points to be a good proxy for this, hence why the ipf uses that formula to determine the “best lifter” award.

one of the reason why IPF GLP and DOTS exist is that total is not in direct multiplication of body weight. If you are using total per kg BW, then does that mean a 93 need to total 1083 to be "as strong" as kjell

kjell is literally built for this 😆

@ if you use the definition "pound for pound", yes. If you mean "best lifter on points", then IPF formula is the way to compare
