IPF needs to start giving out reasons for failed lifts, wouldn't be so much controversy about Russ last deadlift being robbed if they gave an explaination
Wouldn't say he wiped the floor, Ade was 3/4 off a lift from beating him. Even Russ was shocked and thankful he missed. Russ is a monster though and had 880 if his grip held up.
Wait, so you telling me, Russ bests both these guys. By some margin on both the first and second lifts and the one that makes things 'close' is the last lift which they don't even pull conventionally... Damn.
They base the overall placing on how much you beat the previous overall record by. He got first place in his weight class and up to that point he was second place overall in the entire event.
Why are none of them ever testing positive if they use ? And please don't say they just stop on time or they use short esters etc. - Just come up with something good for once lol
@ lol I mean it’s a fact he be hitting PRs almost every week you can’t do that shit natural lol when you natural and you reach a certain level prs will start coming way slower than when you first started
Agree. Sumo and conventional are two different lifts. Ain't no way that Russ monsters them on squat and bench, but is HUGELY weaker than both on deadlift. No chance.
Its nice to see two fellow Brits on Russ's heels, BUT anyone saying that sumo and conventional deadlift are the same need to take their heads for a wobble. You're gonna tell me that Russ is weaker than my two Brits in the deadlift when he monsters them in squat and bench! And not just a little weaker but a whole lot weaker! Get out of here. Sumo and conventional are two different lifts and need to be treated as such. Here, you have all the evidence you need.
I am convinced you people who say this do not know how powerlifting works. if russ was stronger sumo he would pull sumo. simple as that. no one at the world level is pulling a certain way for the sake of ego. like please think for a second.
I love Russ, but he got lucky that Ade clearly lost balance, pulling that weight, its clear he was the stronger one in this battle. Russ won't be lucky next time and sadly Russ has hit his comp ceiling. He needs to commit to a higher weight class to get better.
@Alexucci97 russ was not unlucky on his last pull, he beat the down command and his grip slipped at the top, so he dropped it at the top, hence valid no lift. Make sure you properly analyze the lifts. Ade had the actual strength to complete his pull, he just clearly lost his balance, big difference between the two. Won't be the same next time 👍😁
@Alexucci97 um no listen to commentary again bud, Ades 838lb pull would have given him 1st, he gunned for first with his weight selection which is why he was flustered not getting it, his reaction even shows he knew he had it. I think you need to follow a long better buddy, you ain't doing so good so far. Not even sure why you're arguing, the reality is Russ won, but he can't maintain or improve his strength in the 83s, been quite evident for the last few years. Move on. 😂
@@Morris.Andrew his pull would’ve only beat Russ by 3kg, finishing with a total of 873. This wouldn’t of meant he would’ve come first overall at Sheffield. He would’ve come 4th. He loaded that weight to beat the deadlift world record for the 83 class. If Russ had his final deadlift, Ade would’ve had to pull 390.5 to match Russ’ total. Russ is clearly the top dog in the 83s right now and it’s not close
whats crazy is austin perkins squatting after jurins 3rd attempt
Russ went demon time 🗣️😭
Ade is such a phenom. Hope to see him take the total and deadlift WR soon!
been waiting for this since sunday
Was about to say this fr
Russ for the hall of fame
Love how you’re able to clip it with the audio so it become really exciting to watch
AND RUSS SILENTS THE HATERS 😤 (that ade final pull is closeeeeeee tho)
Sooner or later WADA will make it.
Don't worry.

@@eanlum8220 if they didnt rob russel of his 3rd attempt it wouldnt be that close. Emils last pull getting 3 white was a joke compared to his lift
Fantastic
insane

The conv or sumo talk is not even a convensation worth.
It’s almost like different people have different leverages and are better at one lift vs the other🤯
music way too loud
Im only a third in and think it's fine
It’s not that bad?
Sorry! Will keep it a bit lower moving forward. Thanks for the feedback!
Its fine

Sumo vs con win!
Russ on that juice dude ain’t natty like he swear he is lol

i cant like this powerlifting meta... just pull sumo and win idk man

Even though the conventional puller won here?🤣
@@ConorJ99 his margin of win was off his squat. obviously his DL was the weakest

Had Russ been doing sumo he would get totals no one can break.
He has tried sumo, but his conventional is much stronger.

Well that’s the dumbest take I’ve read today.
The only clean one was Jurins.

Russ was rather unlucky with his last pull that looked 100% good. Ade lost against an unlucky Russ. Lucky Russ is 883 😉

Yeah so Russ loses grip, Ade loses balance. If both get their lifts Russ still wins by 10+ kg. 😉
