Great episode guys. I grew up in Canberra but have not been to the reserve in Wee Jasper, so looking forward to seeing it at the camp out in Feb. We’ve got some resident wombats on our hobby farm in the Upper Hunter and they’ve been giving us some grief digging around a water tank and damaging the plumbing lol!
They’re really bad for digging everywhere you don’t want them too hey, I understand why farmers get annoyed by them! Looking forward to meeting you at the camp out 😁😁
@@BigOzExplorers thanks. Definitely. Looking forward to meeting you all.
Oh, my goodness! I am so amazed at how much Jack has developed with his speech and behaviour. He is such a little man now.
looks like a great camp, will have to put it on our list of camps. Tell John that the mesh goes in the pop up pit after the angle sides, this stops any ash getting out. Love you guys, keep it up
Thanks guys. Great episode as usual. You're certainly finding some great places to camp
good to see geoff did the "candles" tour of the caves with you. its pretty special, and ive never heard of anything like it elsewhere.
What a great fire pit! Just went out and bought one.
Great ep legends! Love seeing Jack fishing + Jayda too! ❤ How's the knife on the track! Lucky... So funny Chris mentioning about the wombats... We were only talking about the exact same thing the other day! We were just saying how we have seen Echidnas (and other Australian animals - Koala's, Emu's, Roo's etc) but neither of us have ever seen a wombat or platypus in the wild.
They’re so elusive, always avoiding us 😂 you would think being full time you’d have to see them eventually at a bush camp but nope! Only their poo 💩🤣
@@BigOzExplorers 🤣 Haha yes very elusive! They must be faster than we think. 😆 I think we miss them because they come out at night to feed and 💩 😆
What wonderful experience your kids are having so many skills, and jack is really come a long way. Frees you both up a wee bit. Lovely area, didn’t know about the falls, on my list now. Cheers thanks
Hey Guys, Can you give details of how you do your potato's and carrots on the Ziggy.. Times and heat that sort of thing. Love the episodes as usual. Just bought a Ziggy and wanting cook more with it.
hey guys just a question regarding your bladder set up, what size is your bladder & what accessories are attached to your hose? we have the same fill up system we had trouble while off grid filling it up as the return valve wouldn't allow water to be put in without pressure so we had to gravity feed from another caravan, completely stupid set up we are wondering why they would design a caravan with one fill up point & unless you hitch up & take the van to a tap it's a very hard task. any advice would be appreciated. thanks heaps.
If and when you get to Tassy, there are wombats everywhere, especially Cradle Mt and Maria Island.
About 25 years I was driving through Wee Jasper and hit a wombat on the front left wheel and rolled the Ute. Looks like a top spot.
We live 40 mins south of Canberra on 5 acres and see wombat holes and wombats regularly and regularly have to fill in holes. we also know when they have been around as they like to pooh on top of things. We see deposits on top of rocks, plants etc.
I find that so funny that they like to poo on top of things! We found them all over rocks and logs, what an odd behaviour 😂
Think we spotted your friends in Sale Vic today by the lake!
Awesome guys what a great location. Wish we could catch up in February but I'm afraid that ED Sheran wins that weekend 🥰🥰🥰
If I had tickets to see Ed Sheeran, I’d also be going and Chris could run the Camp Out by himself 😂🥰 have fun!! 😃😃
Let that be a big lesson for you Chris, never set your self up for a sausage joke from your wife.
Hey guys - wee Jasper us our go to for a weekend away … but if wombats are what you’re after try this place: bendeela kangaroo valley. Wombats are slightly Mangy but heaps of them
Hope there is a campout in Adelaide 🙂
Next time chris will buy the chipotle sausage and hopes he doesn't get the same answer 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
brilliant spot wee jasper 👍👍
What river is that?
What a great spot. That hat looks great on you Sian.
Thanks Lyn, I don’t wear it enough!! 🥰
Funny you have never seen a wombat in the wild Chris. I have never seen a koala, many wombats though😀
There is no reason you can't have a beer. However there are lots of reasons you shouldn't!
Happy Birthday Jayda 🎂🎉💐🎊🎁
Another great video to watch. If you want to experience wombats then come to Victoria and go to Wilsons Prom. Travel Safe and Enjoy 👍🏼🇦🇺
Or Cradle Mountain in Tassie, near in guaranteed to see them
Fantastic spot, saw our first wild wombat's in Tassie, fun fact they are out during the day in Tassie, apparently due to the climate and they move quite quickly across the ground. Looks like a stunning place to spend a week n looks like you did ok with the weather too. Pretty sure I sent you a recipe, but let me know if I didn't n I will send you one
Hey Sean, where did you send it to? I know you’ve given us a few ideas over the last couple of years! That’s j retesting about the wombats in TAS, maybe that will be our time to see them 😁👏🏻
@@BigOzExplorers fairly sure I put it in the comment when you originally asked for recipes
@@seanchristie7150 oh yes if it’s there that’s great! I checked my email inbox before!!
Great sound track what is it guys
Go to Wilson’s Prom .. Vic .. Tidal River stacks of wildlife a naughty wombats
Need to do Tas for wombats.
Would love to come to Wee Jasper in 2023. Cannot get the FB page to submit my request to join the group??
Thanks for another great Vid.
Oh really that’s odd?! This is the event page, this one you can see regardless! Then we can help you at Wee Jasper to sort out the group page, hard to know from here what’s wrong 🤔 facebook.com/events/s/billy-grace-camp-out-nswact/402470318768628/
@@BigOzExplorers all sorted this morning. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Have a great day wherever you are today.
Jack and Jayda standing on a riverbank like that, flowing water, should be wearing life jackets. One wrong step and they're washed away in the river and drowned.
There is always one aaarrrggghhh
@@martingould841 watch the video again, look how close Jack and Jayda are to the fast flowing water. You don't mess around with water like that...one stumble and they're gone.
@@bambu9431 The river has gone up and spread because of all the ongoing rain - the water at the edge where they are fishing is actually very shallow.
So not an issue … and it’s not crocodile season …
Yes, the current is running fast out in the middle but they are nowhere near that.
Take a look near the very end of the video, you can see the pebbles on the bottom (33.55). The locals have been taking their kids there to swim forever, big ones out in the middle, littlies in the shallows.
Great Post
Very enjoyable,
More of the same thanks!
Beautiful spot guys, thanks for sharing.?
have a great weekend cheers 🥂 🍻
No problem Mark! 🥰🥰
@@BigOzExplorers hi Chris, we are looking around for a suitable tow vehicle ( in NZ) with 3.5 ton towing capacity and I really like the look of your Nissan. When you have a moment could you send me some details on your Nissan, model, year towing capacity engine details etc? I’d really appreciate that, just when you can no hurry. Trust you and the family are all well and your travels are going well. I certainly enjoy your videos and watching your experiences. We hope we can visit some of the beautiful places that you’ve shown us from your travels. Be great to meet you you all, hopefully in NZ sometime.
Anyway, thanks in advance and safe travels. Cheers Mark
@@awesometoursnz it’s a 2019 Nissan Patrol Ti Y62. 3.5t towing and 7t GCM and runs on a 5.6L V8 (standard). Hasn’t missed a beat or ever let us down, they’re great cars! 😁😍
@@BigOzExplorers thanks very much for you quick response and info, much appreciated. Safe travels cheers Mark
Nice spot!
🤙we are there in 2023..🤙 can’t wait 🍻
Yay!!
Silvia might’ve not have had a face if something failed on the winch recovery with no dampener.
As this was not a Snatch recovery, and the method used of slowly taking up the slack, the likelihood of a snapped winch wire was virtually negligible. As a general rule, I do agree with you regarding the use of a Dampener should always be used in all recoveries. Simple case of "Better Safe than Sorry".
Hahaha at 7:15 we cracked up
So if you can't eat , no one else can. Is that why ya dropped it on the ground lol
probably good point lol 😝 😂
Top spot, now on the to do list 👁👁🙃🙃🐕🦺❤️🇦🇺
Definitely one to add!!
Are you currently answering emails??
Where a outs are you?
Standing adjacent to a winch cable, No cable dampener! Absolutely Stupid!
this is what I'm supposed to be watching lol cool! looks good ! 🏞️🛻📹🤙😎
you got some very good clear footage on this one ! 🎬💻📹
Thanks Brent!!
