Something to try for the broccolini. Chuck it in the microwave with a bit of water and cover for a bit to soften and pretty much cook. Then drain any excess water and add some minced garlic and soy sauce and mix around. Then chuck on the bbq or fry pan to crisp up. So good!
When chopping onions, white onions, What I found most effective to prevent tears, is ventilation, just a small fan, not a ceiling fan, just one on the bench inside is suffice, works a treat 100%.
I couldn’t believe it when you cut the heart out of the cabbage and threw it away! That core is the best part, crisp and juicy and crunchy. Just like eating an apple. When I prepare cabbage I usually claim chef’s privilege and grab the core for myself unless I intend to use it. It slices and dices as easily and deliciously as the rest of the cabbage. You unwrapped a quarter cabbage and promptly threw almost half in the bin. To each their own, but not on this man’s watch. After I got over my shock I enjoyed the rest of the episode, as I always do. Between wasting good cabbage and not using fresh garlic and real butter is was a pretty ordinary feed. Gotta do better than that guys.

We got flooded out at Sofala nearly 2 years ago. We had to pack up the pop top caravan in the middle of the night and we drove out through thigh high water. Pretty scary stuff!

Fantastic episode as usual, will email a couple for Jada as well as for you. Scary how fast the water comes up and the damage a trickle can make. Try adding a couple of boiled/steamed then smashed potatoes to your cabbage.
