Great seeing Lithgow and Bathurst. The racetrack in on my Auntie's ancestors land. Our daughter lives at Wattle Flat on the road to Hill End.

When we were there, the area was on fire, literally. Bushfires all around.

I'm another Lithgow local but I missed your posts prior to arriving. 🤥 The main walkway at Hassens Walls now allows disabled access which is great but in the old days, you could walk right to the edge. 🤪 Blast Furnace Park is the remains of Australia's first steel works. Most of the gear ended up at the Port Kembla steel works after many years at Lithgow. And I know you are always on the move but there was so much more in the local area and across the Blue Mountains that you missed. I would really suggest a return visit in the future. 🙂

Fantastic content as usual, The Silver Fox n his family at The Blue Fox. Graffiti is the worst 2nd only to chewing gum on your thongs 😂😂
Bathurst run looked great, would be awesome if you could of really let it rip though to see what the Y62 would do
    Keep up the great work

As local it’s disgusting what these morons do to our places we hate it too especially too our beautiful landscapes.. shame yous never got to see the State Mine museum up state mine gully which is just 2 mins from where you were at the Blast Furnace, the kids would loved it which also takes you up to Newnes plateau to the Lost City & Glow Worm’s Tunnels. Newnes Plateau is also well known for a 4wd area. The Lost City actually does look like an ancient lost city. Also shame you couldn’t go down Wolgan Valley as the road is out of action will be for a while, the camping area down there is stunning and the old ruins of the Shale Mine is a must see not forgetting the drive down into the valley as well the old pub is a museum. On the road out to Wolgan you could’ve of gone and seen the aboriginal art at Black Fellows Hands not only amazing but the drive is very picturesque another drive takes you out to Capertee the view you get from Pearson lookout will floor as you over look the Capertee Valleys it’s also the worlds second largest canon it’s actually wider than Grand Canon the drive down into it leaves you speechless as the views are stunning you can camp at Coorongooba camp ground at Glen Davis the roos ,goanna’s and wombats will keep the kids entertained plus there is a lookout that looks over the old shale ruins and you can walk around the old town of Glen Davis and get transported back in time as most of the shops etc are closed it’s basically a ghost town and they have lots of old relics and stuff from a forgotten time. I am a Lithgow girl but I live in Portland which is just 10 mins from where you where at Lake Wallace ( Wang dam to us locals) it has some amazing yesteryear’s advertising signs painted on the buildings around the town as well as the Silo painting and a quaint little museum at The Fountains which is the old Cement works.. oh and from Capertee just little bit up the road you turn off to the Turon River you can camp there as it’s well know for camping and 4wds.Tarana is another great little village with a great pub and cafe and the drive out is beautiful especially when it’s green on your way out to Tarana you will pass Lake Lyell another geart area to camp but it’s $$.sorry for going on a bit but there is so much to see and do in the Lithgow. 😊
