- The PTRD-41 (Shortened from Russian, ProtivoTankovoye Ruzhyo Degtyaryova;Противотанковое однозарядное ружьё системы Дегтярёва образца 1941 года;"Degtyaryov Anti-Tank Rifle") was an anti-tank rifle produced and used from early 1941 by the Soviet Red Army during World War II. It was a single-shot weapon which fired a 14.5×114mm round. Although unable to penetrate the frontal armor of German tanks, it could penetrate the thinner sides of early-war German tanks as well as thinly armored self-propelled guns.

The best Single Shot Bolt Action Rifle ever made
Good
Impressive how the bolt can take the sudden impact of it going rearward
Also a little interesting thing about this rifle
There was one guy who captured one during the Korean War, fitted it with a scope, and converted it to 50bmg
Did they just Copy past the sound Of the .50 in MW2 ?
I don’t know (no idea)
Sounds a lot like it. I recognize the sound from some CoD games.
Yup.
@@duycongpham4762 THEN WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU REPLYING?
It should sound like a light tank, it’s bullets are .114 i think
One of my favorite among all the antitank rifles that ever created
Good Job
I know what I want for Christmas
Oh.....very good gun
nice
Well, against heavy ww2 tanks you don’t stand a chance... but against light tanks and normal vehicles it rocks! Too bad it is a single shot sniper...
Jacopo Michelini I think the PTRS-41 is better suited as it is semi automatic but I don’t remember very well
Actually its really effective, since the bolt slams open after every shot, so putting a second one in a tank's side takes just a few seconds
PTRS-41 was less reliable and not as numerous as the PTRD-41. Both the PTRS and PTRD did a number to German tanks at Stalingrad, Panzer III's and IV's were knocked out easily as the round could penetrate the top armor over the engine decks which were vulnerable from elevated shots in an urban environment. Panzer II's wouldn't have stood a chance at just about any angle. And the PTRD wasn't a single shot sniper rifle. It was an anti-tank rifle.

Fascinating, thank you, amazingly simple design from Vasily Degtyaryov, probably a big reasons the Nazis were repelled from Russia
It works. Good

Like like 👍👏 Very good

Rare Bolt action
So this gun unloads the empty shell by the recoil force right ?
Yes. Thats the way it works.. However if you watch videos of people shooting it, you'll note it never auto ejects the shell.. because they are running low powder loads with generally solid brass bullets to make the wear on the barrel at a minimum.
@@GIITW.5OKC Just look at the design, the bipod digs into the ground so the gun might move back a little less than expected to eject.
If the barrel was free floated and the receiver was on some sort of track assembly like the Boy anti tank rifle, the gun would self eject.
@@VeryProPlayerYesSir1122 Don't need to even put it on a track or anything you mentioned. Just don't dig the bipod into the ground and it'll self eject.
might want to fix this the pistol grip should be still and not move
Actually not. The PTRD had an auto eject mechanism (no i don't mean the PTRD). If you don't believe me, check out the video of Forgotten Weapons on the PTRD ;D.
No, the model from what I can see is 100% accurate, the barrel and chamber are connected and then that solid piece is on a rail and recoil tube that allows it to slide backwards
Mandernach Luca no grip stays in place. The barrel and action slide in rails that attached to the grip

AMR Breakthrough for you weebs.
