Funny how before the season started EVERYONE assumed Slot & Liverpool would struggle. That includes taking into account inheriting a very good Klopp side. But since starting well excuses all come out that he hasn't had to manage much. That the squad is a well oiled Klopp machine. To add, the pre match to Man United was said by EVERYONE that Slott has had two easy first games and this will be his first big test. That United at home was more than capable for pulling off a result. Now after the comfortable win, EVERYONE is saying again that this was a Klopp side that beat a very bad united side. The hypocrisy.
I’m a huge Pool fan but let’s not get carried away here , The results have been fantastic but the performances have been far from impressive, They were atrocious for 60mins in the first game , not much better in the second , they were slow and predictable against UTD for long periods also , Casemiro was Liverpools best player , they are still miles behind City and mounting a real real title challenge imo . UTD were absolutely terrible on the day and should have scored at least twice , terrible finishing doesn’t equal great defending.
@michaelmullins8866 exactly that.they were very slow and off it. And if you watch the 1st half against utd diaz gave the ball away nearly every time until the 1st goal So there's still plenty to do
He has more direction of his team in 3 matches than ETH in 2 seasons. Yes they were given a great platform, but he has changed certain things but it's the fact the players have actually happy to adopt his philosophy. It does help he hasn't changed things massively but he has changed their style.

What nonsense. Slot brought in a brand new backroom team, they have introduced new training drills which has excited the players after seven years of Klopp and Linjders. Slot is not playing crazy go for it football (compre this performance to the FA Cup Quarter Final defeat). This is the first Gravenberch has played three matches in a row. As Danny says the big test is to come and the players out of contract needs to be sorted out one way or the other. Manchester Utd were a great side under Sir Alex. That was over 30 years ago.
Arne Slot's great skill so far is that he has seamlessly taken over without changes BUT NEVERTHELESS shows authority and self-assurance as the obvious boss.
It's just been 3 games but I like how he is carrying on Klopp's vision, but adding his own twist to it. He doesn't have an ego where he wants to fully make an 180. He does play a more possession based game and you can really notice that, but the counterpress is also still there. He's going to play a mix of both and I think its great and I also like how he's been subbing key players off. Liverpool caught injuries too often under Klopp. Also with the constant pressure being physically harsh. Then there's also less conceded goals, while that was a huge issue in the final seasons of Klopp. Liverpool would concede so much which then had to lead to Liverpool having to put a lot more energy into their games to make up for the conceded goals. The previous Brentford game for example would've had a conceded goal, with Liverpool being 0-1 behind and having to turn it into a 2-1 or 3-1 with a lot of energy. That just happened too much under Klopp. So if Slot can make them defensively stronger, they can become insanely dangerous. A more measured Liverpool sounds scary. But again, its still just 3 games. Anything can happen. Van Dijk van return injured from National Team duties, Salah can get a red card and a 3 match ban, Gravenberch can start to disappoint after a few more matches. If they keep this up though, and even get better, it could be an incredible season for them,

Danny Murphy's statement that VvD relies on his physicality is completely absurd! The combination of his game knowledge and natural physical attributes makes him a talent that will last a generation.
There will be defensive mistakes whilst the players adjust fully, before he gets his own players in key areas. That’s a given but what’s impressed me is his confidence to make noticeable adjustments to a similar system. I’m already convinced he is an exceptional coach, to get his ideas across this quickly.
I remember when Kenny Dalglish signed Glenn Hysén instead of Gary Pallister (who seemed expensive at £1m) Glenn looked like a bargain in his first season but was found out to be way past his best by the second year whilst Pallister floundered in his debut season for United but went on to become a United stalwart for the next ten years forming the basis of what was a great defence for them. I hope Liverpool plan wisely for this important position

The improvement in defensive solidity is the key to Liverpools great start, and ability to challenge. If it carries on like this we can challenge for the big 2 this year 🤞🤞
With regard to a potential title challenge, no disrespect to the opposition thus far (well some to ManU as a matter of course), but there's no point talking about that until they take a positive result out of a match against a team that finished above them last season.

Heitinga is clearly no newcomer to Merseyside, his record both at club and international levels was clearly outstanding. Robertson, Konate and Trent are already benefiting from his presence and now the Liverpool squad feels like it has a better balance about it.

Jurgen was 1 of the best man managers about. Passion and fight was his thing. I think this filtered down through Pep who incorporated his own ideas to training and how we played and how this was implemented. This ultimately ended up with gung ho football, 100 miles an hour attacking, burn out, and therefore led to defensive frailty. Slot has seemed to calm things down and emphasised control to hopefully not see that burn out and shore up the defense.
I don't think so, but time will tell. Klopp produced a team that could destroy any team, no matter how great they were. Consider how long it took Klopp to reach those finals and win the Pl with Liverpool 1.0. It is obvious that the last 2 seasons was a period of transition. Given the same time period he could have done the same with 2.0. It is telling that the goals thus far were Klopp style goals. Having said all this, my hope is that Slot achieves more.
They did win 3 games but its how they play.. The guy improved them, usually new manager especially after a legendary one is just not good enough, unfortunately this guy looks sharp, the team is quick and deadly, the only thing that can stop them is injuries but thats the same with all teams, apart maybe City because they got the best bench in the league.
If you go to a golf professional for lessons the really good ones enhance what you have and the bad ones try to change your swing to be more like theirs.
not renewing salah and vvd over being in their early 30's when they are still at the peak of their game is a weird decision and would really be a back step taking more years and trnsfer windows trying to get the right players into the team ready to challenge city.
The main worry for Liverpool to me is what happens if/when they get injuries or some players get tired. Can jones, elliot, gakpo, nunes etc be good enough replacement.
At 2013 Manchester United that wouldn't the premier league was just down to Ferguson experience that was not a season in the premier league I remember it well
For many Reds they wouldn't be surprised if FSG got all three off the wage bill - nearly 900k a week not to pay - 47m per annum. If they do that lots surmising it's a sure sign they are planning to sell Pretty sure - barring lots of injuries - we'll be 'keeping our powder dry', 'not found the perfect player to improve us' etc etc in January. We'll see.
Salah, on the flip side, taking into account his brilliance in his role since Klopp brought him in from the abyss (i.e. chelski) How much does he owe that to Klopp and overall to Liverpool. My answer is you cant put a price on that. Its give and take and he should honour Klopp's legacy by staying put and winning more major honours at Liverpool instead of holding them to ransom by openly declaring his intentions. Liverpool's heirarchy have a delicate balancing job on their hands and Salah needs to meet them in the middle in terms of new wage terms.
that he hasn't changed much but simultaneously everyone else noticed the so-called heavy metal football has gone even that they are still pressing from the front but are more solid at the back so that would be changing so far😂
Slott playes like klopp. That was always what liverpool wanted, to make the most of the players. Maybe we have been lucky, but not conceding a goal so far is the best bit. We can always score, always outwork teams. But doing that while keeping clean sheets? Thats the form we had when we won the league, and when we pushed city to the last day of the season. Liverpool are looking very good this season so far. Long may it continue.
@@leccy9901 Klopp's style is much more direct where as Slot's style is more possession based. Yes, they both like to press high up the pitch etc but Slot is more a combination of Klopp and Pep. @theliesisire7485 so if it's a mixture of klopp and pep, it's similar, isn't it. He's not now playing defensive football, or og barca. I'm not saying the same. Similar. I'm not saying something radical here btw, every pundit is saying the same thing, klopp said the same thing.

Nothing wrong with Moyes per se. He never had the full support of the owners and player power took over, which SAF would have snuffed out in a heartbeat. If the owners supported him and allowed him to systematically overhaul that squad, he could have been a success. However Man United were so used to success, that they were impatient and weren't prepared to go through a short term transition period. Look where that's got them. Unlike Liverpool where Klopp handed over a team at there peak, Moyes inherited a team on the decline.
@@jkmb5758 when Fergie was about to retire the obvious choice was pep Mourinho & Klopp was doing well with Dortmund then too. Or even ancelotti. SAF did loads of stupid things in his final few years. When Manchester United were in a position of power they just let man city sign Aguero while nan United were buying chicharito. He was losing Pogba on a free transfer because he was picking Rafael in CM instead of him. And picking Moyes!!!!!! SAF was very detrimental towards man United in his final 2/3 seasons.
The big takeaway for me was the terrible defending by United in Liverpool's 1st given goal, two, yes TWO players left unmarked on the left side of goal, with no United defenders close to 'em, nearly got in each others way!!............The Aussie Spurs Fan.
I dont understand how finances work in the epl. Teams have no problem spending 80million on a player and give him a 4 year contract. 4 years later it is like you need to take a pay cut. Let's see you just amortization 20 million a year that you now have to spend on the players salary without it costing you one single cent more. And if you don't sign him to a new contract you will be buying a new player for 80 million. Now if they didn't want to pay Salah or van diyk or TAA they should have sold them in the off-season. Either way you don't have to make them take a pay cut.
The win against United had nothing to do with Slot, did it? Manchester United are awful. Their manager is awful. A very mediocre team at the moment. Liverpool already had a very strong squad playing well in a very similar system

😭PLEASE😭LEAVE 7 Hag ALONE😭😭
😭😭😭😭😭LEAVE 7 Hag ALONE😭😭
Cmon, he's officially ten hag a 3+7=10😂😂
The main worry for Liverpool to me is what happens if/when they get injuries or some players get tired.
Can jones, elliot, gakpo, nunes etc be good enough replacement.
I worry about nunez in this system,he lacks jotas brain ....the rest will do just fine
Moyes inherited a winning pl team. Messed it up...
We'll see.
What a load of shite.
Got your tinfoil hat on ?
Salah, on the flip side, taking into account his brilliance in his role since Klopp brought him in from the abyss (i.e. chelski) How much does he owe that to Klopp and overall to Liverpool. My answer is you cant put a price on that. Its give and take and he should honour Klopp's legacy by staying put and winning more major honours at Liverpool instead of holding them to ransom by openly declaring his intentions. Liverpool's heirarchy have a delicate balancing job on their hands and Salah needs to meet them in the middle in terms of new wage terms.
Liverpool have a back up front 3 of Gakpo,Nunez and Chiesa.
All these people, who’ve never run a multi million pound business, critiquing the people who have been running one pretty well for the past 10 years.
older players are staying fitter further into their lives, so big contracts past 32 years old are justifiable.
Slot hows how to make do with what he has whereas ETH always looks like he needs one more signing😂
I love Klopp, but I am seduced by Arne. He's got my vote. Amazing ❤❤
that he hasn't changed much but simultaneously everyone else noticed the so-called heavy metal football has gone even that they are still pressing from the front but are more solid at the back so that would be changing so far😂
3 games in, so im not getting carried away yet 😂 YNWA UP THE REDS
It's FSG's policy to have younger players. They want to run Liverpool like there other interests.
Salah has already made sure that he wants to retire at Liverpool. If he accepts a new deal for reduced terms then it's possible.
We have saved money from Matip / Thiago and Klopp so probably have £25m saved in wages we can use
Slot is the coach not the manager. Edward’s will have final say
He's not a Greed God, he's an Egytion King
Slott playes like klopp. That was always what liverpool wanted, to make the most of the players. Maybe we have been lucky, but not conceding a goal so far is the best bit. We can always score, always outwork teams. But doing that while keeping clean sheets? Thats the form we had when we won the league, and when we pushed city to the last day of the season. Liverpool are looking very good this season so far. Long may it continue.
He plays nothing like Klopp!
He has taught our players how to defend and also how to pass quickly and accurately !
@jackdominiak445 nothing like him????? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it's a very similar style, it's why Liverpool went after him.
@@leccy9901 Klopp's style is much more direct where as Slot's style is more possession based. Yes, they both like to press high up the pitch etc but Slot is more a combination of Klopp and Pep. Slot always has been influenced by both Pep and De Zerbi. Yes he's a good fit but he isn't a copy of Klopp. He's playing his own style. Just like he did at Feyenoord.
@theliesisire7485 so if it's a mixture of klopp and pep, it's similar, isn't it. He's not now playing defensive football, or og barca. I'm not saying the same. Similar. I'm not saying something radical here btw, every pundit is saying the same thing, klopp said the same thing.
What gigantic wages?
In comparison to Utd players you have 5/6 players on £375k.
Liverpool FC will earn around £650 -£700 million at least this season
Who at united ear £375K?
@@migosmigo8099 Wasn’t it Da gea/Sancho/Shaw etc
It looks good so far and obviously you can't judge after 3 games but Slot looks very assured and calm, so let's get to X-mas to see where we are. YNWA!! ✌
If it ain't broke don't fix it.
He did fix it though. Formation and tactics and different player roles for some
@@junioradult6219 I just noticed we are alot more relaxed about playing out from the back compared to last year. And I prefer the way we slow the game down. Slot is doing a great job. I expect us to keep winning up to the Arsenal game. If we can keep everyone fit. We will have a great chance of fighting for the title. But Haaland at City looks frightening aswell
Enable to say city look brilliant Arsenal are very beatable
Slot is giving Liverpool cups this season.most dont know the guy
I think it's still too early to tell. Let them face Man City, Arsenal and the European Champions teams.
Danny is so clueless sometimes. Van Dijk doesn’t just rely on his physicality, he’s as intelligent as any defender in past generations AND has the physical qualities. Stop that lazy narrative
No one mentions paisley after shanks
What people forget is that if he wasn't good it wouldn't have started as well as it did
Liverpool haven't yet played a top team and their fans already think they will win the superbowl
Liverpool is the best run football club in earth
Slot is a combination of jurgen klopp and rafa benitez
You been boted
Whats with that bot😂its everywere
Klopp laid the foundations and it was easy for slot to come in cause the team was already great and the playing style was good, time will tell if he will be better than Klopp.
Your Right Somehow I See It Becoming Special Again Shankly Laid The Initial Foundations Then Look What Happened The Success That Followed So Jurgen Brought Us Back And Laid The Foundations AGAIN Got A Amazing FeelingAll Over Again
We need to wait until we've played someone good before we get carried away ;)
I wish Liverpool had brought in David Moyes to take over from Klopp. Jesus Christ what was Fergie thinking.
Pundits opinions mean zero.
Its not arne slot its the lads
The players
To only this he's changed his that we are not conceding goals and daft ones if that
Midfield set up is different too not just defense.
The big takeaway for me was the terrible defending by United in Liverpool's 1st given goal, two, yes TWO players left unmarked on the left side of goal, with no United defenders close to 'em, nearly got in each others way!!............The Aussie Spurs Fan.
Fun fact. Mohammed Salah is the 5th top scorer at Old Trafford since 2021 including Man United players
Ruud Van Nistelrooy get ready Sir
I dont understand how finances work in the epl. Teams have no problem spending 80million on a player and give him a 4 year contract. 4 years later it is like you need to take a pay cut. Let's see you just amortization 20 million a year that you now have to spend on the players salary without it costing you one single cent more. And if you don't sign him to a new contract you will be buying a new player for 80 million. Now if they didn't want to pay Salah or van diyk or TAA they should have sold them in the off-season. Either way you don't have to make them take a pay cut.
I agree 100% mate🇸🇯
Chris Eubank is looking well
...No it was the PGMOL who cost Liverpools kis the title
The win against United had nothing to do with Slot, did it? Manchester United are awful. Their manager is awful. A very mediocre team at the moment. Liverpool already had a very strong squad playing well in a very similar system
Who are these people? Why don't they have nameplates?
Wow take it your new to football
@@danielcostello4064 No, but I live 3,000 miles away.
Lmao, clueless? Are you Erik ten hag by any chance 😂
people getting carried away again
Salah brings in revenue for Liverpool from Africans and Muslims much like how Son is bringing in revenue for Spurs from Koreans and Asians. Much like how JS Park did for Man U. It seems more finacially baffling NOT to keep him
Who says they aren't keeping him ?
So far he's 'SLOTted' in so well 🎉
Still early days. Looked so perfect for Ange when he started at spurs too.
😂😂. Can't believe you juxtaposed Agne and Spurs to this Liverpool
Spurs? Get to f**k 😂
Good morning so far so good for the red Machine as we move forward with our new manager long may it continue ❤❤❤
"Danny murphy analyzes" .... who the f... seriously
Is Danny Kelly hasbullas dad..?
