If that wasn't a warm welcoming and most entertaining thought! All I need is to go to the beach bar after that and cheer you with a Rum Runner! I wonder if you made it over to Jack Barnwells new place, too! It would be nice to live in our gardens, year round! 🌞☘️🌺🌱 ... 🍹
What a lovely breath of fresh air, just the right thing to lift our mood. Thank you. Just had Storm Eunice pass through us in Worcestershire, a small tree came down at the end of our road, kept an eye on our English Oak in our garden but all ok. Thank you again, needed this x
Oh, Erin, what a wonderful video. I’ve just watched it 4 times in succession. Thank you, thank you, thank you! What a wonderful winter pick me up! Beautiful plants and flowers. The willow sculpture is amazing. The lily ponds are gorgeous….I could just smell them. Everything was so nice. The orchids….oh, the orchids…growing on the trees…absolutely magnificent! We had a 69 degree day here in zone 6 New England yesterday…20’s today…snow tomorrow!
That was truly refreshing. My eye was picking up the hardscape and arrangements more than plants (guess that’s the focus of pre-spring garden planning) so I’ll have to watch a second time to enjoy the plants. Gotta love video- land!
Oh Lord! With this video, you are gonna light a fire under my butt to head to FL more times than I’m already planning! Last year it was 3 separate trips on the gulf coast from Panama City Beach to Key West! Great time of year to go. Thanks for the video. Have not made it to Naples yet, was 30 miles from there, but ran out of time. Enjoy!
With Naples, I was totally thinking Jack Barnwell would jump out at some point, haha. It seems the place to be!! Loved seeing all the color down there this time of year 🌸🌺 - thank you for sharing!!
The common name of the plant you didn't know is Pleated Palm. I love your channel. Started watching a couple of months ago. I garden zone 8b in Lower Alabama. This plant is not actually a palm. It is not easy to find for sale. I bought it from my local botanical garden about 4 years ago. The stuff spreads pretty quickly. It does not get any taller than what you saw. In zone 8b it is killed back to the ground with a hard frost-but not to worry it comes back every year.
Erin this is absolutely beautiful and thank you for making this video.I did recognize some of the plants and I love the running water .That branch structure was amazing 😮😮
Great video. it's still spotted cold days here in Tennessee . I am seeing signs of the on coming season Tulips are starting to emerge and new growth on the black eye suzie is evident! can't wait !
I'm in zone 10a St Petersburg Florida so I get to see these plants all the time. And I envy those in zones 4-9 that can grow so manys plants that I cannot. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.
I'm taking the cure! It's 23, windy, and snowing here in Zone 6 western PA today. THAT calathea, alligator, sculpture, those Japanese eggplant!! I can live in a hammock. This is a beautiful garden. Spied some elements from your garden...those lily ponds! C'mon with those orchids. LOVED this tour - thanks for leaving town:) Great music, too. Thx Erin
I must say I am really loving my garden right now here in New England. The witchhazels are blooming, and truly glow in the sunshine. The colored conifers and the deciduous trees with exfoliating bark - like our Stewartia - contrast so well with broadleaf evergreens. Sure, there are no fresh flowers, but I must say, I prefer the challenge of creating a garden that changes throughout the seasons, even this one.
That plant you mention that you love in time 1:35 is called palm grass… I grow it here in deep shade as a semi evergreen in zone 8b. It grows under my large oak tree. Evergreen in mild winter and semi to a die back in very cold winters. It’s actual name is molineria capitula
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Zone 5b in Denver checking in. We're looking forward to a high of 11 degrees on Tues, low of -5 overnight. This will make the day much easier!! 30 ish days until calendar spring !!!
Bet the orchid fragrance was amazing! Thanks for the tour, it was beautiful and you looked so relaxed, too! Enjoy beautiful F L O R I DA! Everything is much sunnier here! 🌴
Near Miami is Fairchild Botanical Gardens, and their house a mile away has speakers and art exhibits and science projects at both. David G. Fairchild’s photography was used the first 2 years of the National Geographic Magazine. He brought 200,000 plants for the USDA and became a director. His wife was the daughter of Alexander Graham Bell.
Thanks so much for the Florida Fix! How we miss getting down there for spring training and VISITING TROPICAL GARDENS!! I love just walking around Tarpon Springs and seeing all the different things people grow. I still can't get over that red maples thrive that far south AND up here in Ontario. Thanķs💚
Thanks for sharing! We didn't get to go to Naples this year and this was great to watch. Passed by the botanical gardens a few times on our way to meet our fishing guide but have never been. Will definitely have to go next time we go!
So glad you get to thaw out and enjoy warm weather and gardens! I'm from WI and watch the weather up there. Good time to be away! Can't wait to see your gardens this Spring!!
So many beautiful plants. At 1:50, that beautiful hot pink flower… gone waaay too quickly! 😳☹️ What was it?! The final shot is what my happy place looks like in my dreams. 🤞🏻
Variegated cast iron plant..with upright leaves... I recognized most plants I live I Pensacola however I love the Mtns foliage where I grew up on Signal Mt... Tn. It’s hard to garden in such heat as here however I try try.. I’m sure you had a awesome vaca... NAPLES IS SO LOVELY!!!! Thanks so much love the tour!!❤️it’s funny I got rid of all my cast iron plant..😂
I think the plant you loved but didn’t know what is was is a cast iron plant (common name). I grew one for many years as a house plant in Missouri. Put pot outside in the summer and back in in the winter till it grew so much I couldn’t handle anymore. They a very long time.
👏👏👏 Your music selection, as always, is excellent. The editing and graphics on this video were also excellent - so much fun, Erin. I will be near Naples in a week and a half and this video has only added to my anticipation.
@@GardenUPLandscape yes it really is unfortunate because their beauty is unsurpassed. I live right down the road from the Naples Botanical Gardens and I don’t have one in my landscape because they are a bear to maintain.
Absolutely! Zone 3b here, more snow than we’ve had in years and colder than normal! It was so nice to see all this warmth and beauty!🇨🇦
Thank you Erin for thinking about us on your vacation. Beautiful gardens! ☃️❄️💚🙃

What a feast for the eyes. It is particularly welcome at this time. We are so color deprived.
Watching and soaking in the sun and warmth as it’s snowing in Vermont this morning. 😊
Just what I needed!! Batteries charged to get me through the last weeks until spring 😄🪴🌸🌱 Thank you 👏👍😊

Any gardener who lives in zone 2-6 needed that just about now!!! Thank you Erin! I hope you enjoyed your vacation!
The orchids and water lily’s….so enchanting. Fed my soul on a cold blustery day in WNY.
Thanks for sharing your “green pick me up” for the northern gardener really got me ready for upcoming garden season
That was glorious! The music was a wonderful addition and gah those orchids!!!
Really makes me homesick 😢.....God bless

Hi 👋 dear ,how are you doing?
Thank you so much for taking us along to that beautiful garden. I LOVE tropical flowers and foliage. Would love a garden surrounded by them.
I believe the plant you didn’t know was a cast iron plant. It’s an awesome plant. Don’t know the botanical name. Great tour.

I was also able to see a STICKWORK! display here in Northeast Ohio at Holden Arboretum - very cool!
Lovely! I was there recently as well, what a beautiful space! Thank you for sharing. 🌺
Beautiful! It’s 20 degrees and snowy in the Chicago area - much needed plant therapy! 🌱🌸
Sun is shining here in NE Ohio, but it's bitter cold.

Thanks for sharing this, much needed now in a snowstorm lol. Everything looked gorgeous but those ponds and pools with lotus where my favorite!
Just beautiful what we needed exactly 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Erin, I think the unknown plant is a Cast Iron Plant (Aspidistra elatior.)
Weevil lily. Aka Palm Grass
What a treat, so much beauty. It must have smelled amazing too. Great editing. Thanks for sharing.

Such a beautiful break from the snow here in Ohio. Thanks

Thanks for sharing.
That plant you love is a Grass Palm

Beautiful, Erin! Love all the different leaf textures!! Thanks for sharing. 😊🌺
So pretty! 💚🌴Thanks for sharing, Erin. Love all the lush green and sounds of water. Hope you had a wonderful time!
The succulents on the little log, so adorable
What a gorgeous garden! I want a Bougainvilla! It might be a house plant, but I don't care. Those 3 bracts are gorgeous!
They are man eating plants with their thorny spikes! They put roses to shame!
@@kelliwebb2870 Noted! I've only even seen them a couple times and never touched anything but the flowers so I didn't know they had spikes!
